the operating instructions should be

4. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS:
All operating and use instructions should

5. CLEANING:
- Turn O the unit if it’s On before cleaning.
- Unplug the unit from the wall outlet
before cleaning.
- Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol
cleaners.
- Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
6. WATER AND MOISTURE:
Do not use this product near water.
For example:
Near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink,
or laundry tub; in a wet basement; or near a
swimming pool; and the like.
7. ACCESSORIES:
Do not place this product on an unstable
cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table.
The product may fall, causing serious injury
to a child or adult and serious damage
to the product.

bracket, or table recommended by the

Any mounting of the product should

8. VENTILATION:

9. POWER SOURCES:
This product should be operated only

instructions.
10. POWER-CORD PROTECTION:
Power-supply cords should be routed
so that they are not likely to be walked

against them, paying particular attention
to cords at the power plug and jack plug
socket. During movement, please take
care of the power cord.
For example:
Tie up the power cord with cable tie.
11. NON-USE PERIODS:
The power cord of the product should
be unplugged from the outlet when left
unused for long periods of time.
If the speaker have to be left unused for
a long time, please let the battery fully
charged, otherwise it will cause damage
to the battery.
12. LIGHTNING:
For added protection for this product
during a lightning storm, or when it is left
unattended and unused for long periods
of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and
disconnect the antenna or cable system.
This will prevent damage to the product
due to lightening and power-line surges.
13. POWER LINES:
An outside antenna system should not
be located in the vicinity of overhead
power lines or other electric light or power
circuits, or where it can fall into such power
lines or other electric light or power

FEATURES OF THE RADIO
Carefully remove all the components from the carton and remove all packing materials from
the components.
Make sure that nothing is accidentally discarded with the packing materials.
If possible, save the carton and packing materials for the unlikely event that the product
ever needs to be returned for service. Using the original carton and packing materials is
the only proper way to protect the unit from shipping damage.

Batteries must be inserted correctly to avoid damage to the radio. Always remove the
batteries when the radio will not be used for a long period of time, as this will cause
leakage to the batteries and subsequently damage to your device.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
Slide out cover and install 3 AA TYPE batteries in the numbered order, making
sure to match the polarity markings inside the compartment as shown below:

• If you are unable to turn on the radio, please check that the batteries were installed
correctly, the battery capacity is sucient and the lock function has not been turned on.

ON will appear); press it again to
power OFF (standby mode) the

KEY LOCK FUNCTION
Press and hold the DISPLAY /
button for two seconds to set the
key lock function.
Once the key lock function is
enabled, the keyboard of the radio
will be lock.
To disable the key lock function,
press and hold for two seconds
the DISPLAY / button.
BASIC OPERATION
Note:
• Make sure that the batteries have been installed over the ribbon inside the
compartment.When the batteries need to be replaced, pull the ribbon to
remove the batteries easily from the compartment.
SD CARD INSTALLATION
MP3 FUNCTION
USING THE ANTENNA
1. Open the back stand; insert the
SD card into SD CARD SLOT in
accordance with icon direction.

2. Slide the switch MP3/RADIO SWITCH
to select between MP3 or radio
mode.

3. Press the POWER ON/OFF button
and wait til “>>“appears flashing
on the display.
4. Press the button to start the music
playback, and press it again to pause.
5. Press the or button to play the
previous or next track.
6. Rotate the VOLUME KNOB to adjust
the playback volume.
TIPS TO IMPROVE RECEPTION
A. For FM/SW broadcasting:
In case of receiving FM/SW broadcasting, fully extend the telescopic antenna, and
adjust it’s length and direction to get a better reception.
B. For MW/LW broadcasting:
There is magnetic antenna inside the radio. When receiving MW and LW broadcasting,
rotate the radio or change it’s location to achieve optimum reception.
Note:
• The bottom of the antenna can be rotated and stretched.

TUNE INTO STATIONS
Press the POWER ON/OFF button to turn on your radio, then select your desired band
by pressing the FM, AM, SW ( ) or ( ) button. Now, you can turn into your favorite
stations with any of the following tuning methods:
METHOD 1: ETM (EASY TUNING MODE)
ETM skillfully combines a reception circuit of high quality and high precision dial
for easy tuning radio stations.
Using ETM to auto tune and store all available stations into a temporary memory
without eecting ATS nor regular memories, please follow below steps:
1. Press the ETM button to
enter on Easy Tuning Mode.
The display will show the
word ETM.
2. Select your desired band by
pressing on the FM/AM/SW
button, then press and hold
the ETM button until the auto
scan starts.
The auto scan function will
store all the avalible stations
in the ETM memory.
3. When the auto scan has
stoped the searching, turn
the TUNING KNOB to select
those recently stored stations.
Notes:
• While operating ETM to search for stations, a few stations might be missed if there
is interference in the surrounding. In this case, you can simply key-in the frequency,
then press the ETM button to manually store it into the ETM memory.
TIPS TO IMPROVE RECEPTION
A. For FM stations:
When you are in a dierent city or country, you should perform the ETM function again
instead of using ATS function, because this will not delete any of the stations already
stored within the memory.
B. For MW stations:
We highly recommend to perform the ETM function again during night time, as many
stations start broadcasting at night.
C. For SW stations:
It is recommendable to perform the ETM function in the morning, afternoon as well as
night time, because the transmitting signal of SW is very unstable and usually there are
more stations that start broadcasting in the late afternoon.
TUNE INTO STATIONS
METHOD 4: DIRECT KEYPAD ENTRY
To search for a frequency, turn on the radio and press the VF button to switch into
frequency mode, press the numeric keys 0-9 to enter the station frequency directly.
To search for those stored stations, press the VM button to switch into memory
mode, then press the numeric keys 0-9 to enter the preset memory number directly.
METHOD 3: AUTO BROWSE STATIONS
1. Turn on the radio and press
the VF button to switch into
frequency mode.
2. Press and hold the VF button
until the FAST TUNING speed
mode “” starts scanning
from one station to another,
staying on each station for
about 5 seconds.
3. To stop the auto browse
function, simply press the VF
button again.
Notes:
• While operating the Auto-browse Station function, you can press the M button
anytime to store the current station in the memory; the unit will keep on auto
browsing the next available station afterwards.
• Ignore the decimal point for FM band when inputting the frequency numbers.
For example, FM 89.3 MHz, just enter 8 9 3.
• If the entered frequency is not within the covering area,the display will show the
“Err” (error) symbol.
METHOD 2: MANUAL TUNING
A. Frequency searching:
Press the VF button to switch into
frequency mode, and then rotate
the TUNING KNOB knob to select
your desired station.
B. Memory searching:
Press the VM button to switch into memory mode, and then rotate the TUNING KNOB
to select those stored stations.

USING THE STORED STATIONS
There’s a total of 550 preset memories within the unit. 100 preset memories for each
FM, MW, and LW band, and 250 for SW.
METHOD 1: ATS (AUTO TUNING STORAGE)
1. Fully extend the telescopic
antenna and then press the
FM button to select FM band.
2. Press and hold the FM button,
until the word “PRESET ”
starts flashing on screen on
screen and the frequency
starts advancing; now the
radio will start scanning and
storing all the avalible radio
stations into the memory.
When the frequency stops, it
means that the ATS operation
is already done. Then you can
rotate the TUNING KNOB to
search for those stored stations.
MW/LW ATS:
Press the AM button to select MW/LW band, then follow step 2 of FM ATS.
SW ATS:
Fully extend the telescopic antenna and press the SW ( ) or ( ) buttons to
select SW band.
Modes for SW ATS tuning
A. Using all the meter bands:
Press and hold the ( )button to ATS the stations within all meter bands.
B. Using the present meter band:
Press and hold the ( )button to ATS the stations within present meter band.
Notes:
• During ATS process in FM, MW / LW or SW (mode A), pre-stored radio stations will
be replaced automatically by the new searched stations.
• With ATS in SW (mode B), those existing memories will not be replaced; all the
newly found radio stations will be stored in the blank memory addresses.
• If there is too much interference in your surrounding or many mirror/blank stations
are being stored during ATS, you should contract the telescopic antenna (FM and
SW) or rotate the radio for better reception (MW and LW).
USING THE STORED STATIONS
LISTENING TO STORED STATIONS
While operating the Auto Browse Station function, you can simply press on the M
button to store the station into memory to avoid storing unwanted stations and
interfering signals.
Press the VM button to enter the
memory mode, the word “PRESET”
will appear on the screen. Then
rotate the TUNING KNOB to scroll
through the stored stations one
by one.
METHOD 2: STORING STATIONS MANUALLY
METHOD 3: SEMI-AUTO STORING STATIONS
1. Select band and tune to your desired station.
2. Press the Mbutton with the word “PRESET”flashing.
3. Press the Mbutton again to store the station into memory.
Note that you can also wait for 3 seconds to auto store the station into memory.
1. Press the VF button to switch into frequency mode.
2. Press and hold the VF button until “ ” advancing on the screen to auto brow-
se from one station to another.
3. While tuning to your desired station, press the Mbutton followed by “PRESET”
flashing to directly store the station into the next available memory.
The unit will keep on browsing until you deactivate it by pressing on the VF
button again.

To stop the automatic search

METHOD 3: DIRECT KEY IN MEMORY ADDRESS
1. Press the VM button to enter the memory mode.
2. Press the numeric keys 0-9 to enter the memory address directly, and then
press the button ( ) to confirm.
The auto scan function will store all the available stations in the ETM memory.
Notes:
• If the display shows “ - - - - ” symbol after entering the number, it means that the
entered memory address does not exist.
LISTENING TO STORED STATIONS
DELETE MEMORY
Press the VM button, and the “Memory address” will flash in the upper right corner of
the screen. Then use one of the following methods to remove unwanted stations:
METHOD 1: DELETE A SINGLE MEMORY MANUALLY
METHOD 2: SEMI-AUTO DELETE MEMORY
METHOD 3: MANUALLY DELETE ALL MEMORY WITHIN THE BAND
Turn the TUNING KNOB to select the
memory you want to delete, press and
hold the [DELETE] button until the
word “dEL” and “memory address”
flash; then press the [DELETE] button
to erase the unwanted station from
memory.
Press and hold the VM button until
“PRESET” flashes to automatically
search for stored stations, press the
[DELETE] button at any time to directly
delete unwanted memory; The radio will
continue searching until you press any
other button to stop this function.
Press and hold the [DELETE] button
until the word “ALL” flashes in the
upper right corner of the screen, then
press the [DELETE] button to erase all
memory within the selected band.
1. Press and hold the POWER
button until “SLEEP” and
“ON” or 1~120” show on
the display.
2. Rotate the TUNING KNOB
to select the sleep timer
from 1to 120 minutes or
permanently select “ON”,
then wait until the radio
turns on automatically to
confirm the setting.
Notes:
• If the TIME button has not been pressed again within 3 seconds, the unit will
automatically confirm the setting.
• You can also directly key-in the number to set the clock after pressing and hol-
ding the TIME button, this allows the user to set the time by pressing the numeric
keys, then you will hear a prolonged beep sound suggesting that the time has been
set.
For example, to set the clock to 6:35, just enter 0 6 3 5.
SLEEP FUNCTION
CLOCK SETTING
1. Press and hold the
TIME button until hours
flashing, then rotate the
TUNING KNOB to adjust
the hour.
2. Press the TIME button,
then rotate the TUNING
KNOB to adjust the
minutes while minutes are
flashing.
The auto scan function
will store all the
available stations in the
ETM memory.
3. Press the TIME button to
confirm the setting.

ALARM
It is recommended to set the alarm by buzzer if you are not familiar with the local radio
frequency and air time.
SETTING THE ALARM BY BUZZER
SETTING THE ALARM BY RADIO OR MP3
1. Press and hold the ( ) button
until the hour flashes in the upper
right corner, then turn the TUNING
KNOB to set the hours.
2. Press and hold the ( ) button,
then rotate the TUNING KNOB to
adjust the minutes while they’re
flashing.
3. Press the ( ) button again to
confirm the setting.
Alarm by radio station:
1. Turn on the radio, then tune into your favorite station for alarm by radio and
adjust your desired alarm volume level.
2. Press the button Mbutton with “PRESET” flashing.
3. Press the ( ) button immediately and the “ ” symbol will appear on the
display to confirm the preset alarm station.
Alarm by MP3:
1. Slide the MP3/RADIO SWITCH on the back of the unit to MP3 position.
2. Press and hold the button ( ) button until hours appear flashing on the
upper right corner, then rotate the TUNING KNOB to set the hours.
3. Press the ( ) button, then rotate the TUNING KNOB to adjust the minutes
while they’re flashing.
4. Press the ( ) button again and notice “30” shows on the display, then rotate
the TUNING KNOB to select 1~90 minutes to set the Auto alarm o timer.
5. Press the ( ) button again to confirm the setting
Notes:
• If the ( )button has not been pressed again within 3 seconds, the unit will automatically
confirm the alarm setting.
Notes:
• If the ( )button has not been pressed again within 3 seconds, the unit will
automatically confirm the alarm setting.
• The radio will turn on automatically playing the preset station when it reaches
the alarm time. It will auto turn off as well when it reaches the preset alarm off
timer.
ALARM
Notes:
• If the preset alarm is activated when you are listening to the radio, it will auto
switch to the preset radio station.
SNOOZE FUNCTION
DISPLAY MODE
You can press the ( ) or ( ) button repeatedly to activate/deactivate the alarm
by buzzer / radio respectively.
If “ ” shows on the display, it means the alarm by buzzer is turned on.
If “ ” shows on the display, it means the alarm by radio is turned on.
If “ ” / “ ” does not show on the display, it means the alarm by buzzer / radio is
turned o.
When the preset alarm is activated, you can press the LIGHT/SNOOZE button to
temporarily turn o the alarm, the alarm will sound again 5 minutes later.
TURNING THE ALARM ON OR OFF
SWITCH OFF THE ALARM
Buzzer alarm:
Press the POWER button to turn o the alarm.
Radio alarm:
Press the POWER button to continue listening to the radio, press twice to
turn o the station alarm.
With radio OFF:
Press repeatedly the
DISPLAY button to view
temperature or alarm
time.
With radio ON:
Press repeatedly the
DISPLAY button to view
local time, alarm time,
temperature or signal
strength showing on the
upper right corner of the
display.

SYSTEM SETTINGS
This radio has an intelligent light function with which the backlight would be on for 3
seconds when operating any keys or knobs.
You can use the following methods to turn on/o the backlight:
In radio o mode, press and hold the [FM SET] button until “87.5-108MHz”, “64-108MHz”,
“76-108MHz”, or “87-108MHz”appears on the display. Quickly keep pressing on
the [FM SET] button to select a suitable frequency range for your local FM.
With radio o, press and hold [9/10kHz] button until “9kHz” or “10kHz”appears on
the display to select your desired AM tuning step.
With radio o, press and hold [AM] button until “LW ON”or “LW OFF”appears on
the display to turn ON or OFF the LW respectively.
With radio o, press and hold the [BEEP ON/OFF] button until “ON” or “OFF”
appears in the display to activate or deactivate the key tone respectively.
When the AM tuning step is 10 kHz, the temperature displays will auto switch to
Fahrenheit “ºF”. When the AM tuning step is 9 kHz, the temperature displays will auto
switch to Celsius “ºC”.

B. Permanent illumination:
Press and hold the LIGHT/SNOOZE button until a prolonged double beep
“Beep” sound heard for permanent illumination.
Press it again with a double beep sound to turn o the backlight.
Press and hold the ( ) key until “OFF”shows in the display to deactivate the
lighting function; press and hold the ( ) key again until “ON”shows to activate it.
Notes:
• When the unit is powered by the batteries, please try to avoid setting the backlight
to permanent illumination to reduce power consumption.
• When the unit is turned o, the permanent illumination function will be turned
o automatically as well.
• After shutting o the intelligent lighting function, the LIGHT/SNOOZE key is still
workable for turning on or o the backlight.
CHARGING FUNCTION
With radio o, press and hold the [ ] key until “CHA ON”and “NI-MH BATTERY”
show on the display to activate the consumption display of rechargeable batte-
ries and the built-in charging system.

• Batteries should be used in sets of three and must not be used for any other purpose.

FM STEREO & BANDWIDTH
FM/SW RECEPTION
While listening to FM stereo stations, press the [ST.] button. The “ ” indicator
will appear on the screen to activate the STEREO listening mode.
If the received FM transmission signal is too weak, deactivate the stereo function by
pressing the [ST.] button again.
Plug in the external wire antenna to the FM & SW ANTENNA jack of this radio, and
then hang its end outside the window for better reception of FM and SW.
Repeat pressing the [AM] or [BW] buttons to select your desired 6, 4, 3, 2, 1 kHz
bandwidth.
Wide band:
It has better audio fidelity when receiving strong signals or local stations.
Narrow band:
It is suitable to receive weak and long distant stations as narrow band is able to
limit the interference from adjacent strong signal and reduce background noise.

1. Connect the audio cable to the LINE IN jack; the display will show a “ ”
symbol confirming that the plug has been connected with the radio.
2. Press the POWER button with the symbols “ ” flashing to play; then rotate
the VOLUME button to adjust the volume.
3. Press the POWER button again to turn o the speaker of the radio.
1 . Batteries must be inserted correctly in accordance with the polarity marks
to avoid damage to the radio.
2. If the batteries haven’t been changed in a long time, the clock of the radio
will stop working. However, the pre-stored frequencies are still kept.
The clock will work again after new batteries are re-installed.
3. When the battery power is low, the “ ” symbol new the display will flash
advising you to replace the exhausted batteries for new ones.
The radio will turn o automatically when the battery power isn’t enough.
4. Mixing used and new batteries may cause damage to the radio and also display
the power capacity incorrectly.
5. Remove the batteries from the battery compartment, if the radio is not
going to be used for a long period of time.
This will prevent the leakage of batteries that may can damage the radio.

ENCENDER LA RADIO
Pulse el botón de ENCENDIDO Y
APAGADO para encender la radio.
La pantalla se encenderá en azul y
aparecerá la palabra “ON”(encendido);
púlselo de nuevo para apagar
(standby mode) la radio. La pantalla
se encenderá de azul y aparecerá la
palabra “OFF”(apagado).
BLOQUEO DE TECLAS
Pulse y mantenga presionado el
botón DISPLAY / dos segundos
para activar la función de bloqueo
de teclas.
Una vez que la función de bloqueo
de teclas esté habilitada, el teclado
de la radio se bloqueará.
Para desactivar la función del bloqueo
de teclas, pulse y mantenga
presionado por dos segundos el
botón DISPLAY / .
Las pilas deben insertarse correctamente para evitar daños en la radio.
Retire las pilas del compartimento cuando no se vaya a utilizar por un período prolongado.
Esto evitará posibles fugas o rupturas de las pilas que podrían dañar la radio.

Hay antena magnética dentro de la radio. Cuando reciba transmisiones MW y LW,
gire la radio o cambie su ubicación para lograr una recepción óptima.

SINTONIZAR EMISORAS
Presione el botón de ENCENDIDO Y APAGADO para encender la radio, entonces seleccione
la banda deseada pulsando las teclas FM, AM, SW ( ) o ( ). Ahora, podrá sintonizar sus
emisoras favoritas con cualquiera de los siguientes métodos de sintonización:
MÉTODO 1: ETM (EASY TUNING MODE)
ETM combina hábilmente un circuito de recepción de alta calidad y un dial de
alta precisión para facilitar la sintonización de emisoras de radio.
Para usar ETM para sintonizar automáticamente y almacenar todas las emisoras
disponibles en una memoria temporal sin afectar ATS ni memorias regulares, siga
los pasos indicados a continuación:
1. Pulse la tecla ETM para entrar
en Easy Tuning Mode.
En la pantalla se mostrará la
palabra “ETM”.
2. Seleccione la banda deseada
presionando el botón FM/
AM/SW luego presione y
mantenga presionado el botón
ETM hasta que comience el
escaneo automático.
La función de escaneo
automático almacenará todas
las emisoras disponibles en la
memoria ETM.
3. Cuando el escaneo automático
haya terminado la búsqueda,
gire el SINTONIZADOR para
seleccionar las emisoras
almacenadas recientemente.
Notas:
• Mientras utiliza ETM para buscar emisoras, algunas pueden perderse si hay interferencia
en los alrededores. En este caso, simplemente puede introducir la frecuencia deseada y
luego presionar el botón ETM para almacenarla manualmente en la memoria ETM.
TRUCOS PARA MEJORAR LA RECEPCIÓN
A. Para emisoras FM:
Cuando se encuentre en una ciudad o país diferente, debe realizar la función ETM
nuevamente en lugar de usar la función ATS, ya que esto no eliminará ninguna de
las emisoras ya almacenadas en la memoria.
B. Para emisoras MW:
Recomendamos repetir la función ETM nuevamente durante la noche, ya que
generalmente hay muchas emisoras que comienzan a transmitir por la noche.
C. Para emisoras SW:
Es recomendable realizar la función ETM tanto por la mañana, por la tarde como
por la noche, porque la señal de transmisión de SW es muy inestable y, por lo
general, hay más emisoras que comienzan a transmitir a última hora de la tarde.
SINTONIZAR EMISORAS
MÉTODO 4: BÚSQUEDA DIRECTA MEDIANTE TECLADO
Para buscar una frecuencia, encienda la radio y presione el botón VF para entrar al
modo de frecuencia, presione las teclas numéricas 0-9 para introducir la frecuencia
de la emisora directamente.
Para buscar esas emisoras almacenadas, presione el botón VM para entrar al modo de
memoria, luego presione las teclas numéricas 0-9 para ingresar directamente el
número de memoria preestablecido.
MÉTODO 3: BÚSQUEDA AUTOMÁTICA DE EMISORAS
1. Encienda la radio y presione
el botón VF para entrar en el
modo de frecuencia.
2. Mantenga presionado el
botón VF hasta que el
modo de velocidad de
SINTONIZACIÓN RÁPIDA
“” comience a escanear
de una emisora a otra,
permaneciendo en cada
emisora durante
aproximadamente 5 segundos.
3. Para detener la función de
búsqueda automática,
simplemente presione el
botón VF de nuevo.
Notas:
• Mientras la función de Búsqueda automática de emisoras está en uso, puede presionar
el botón M en cualquier momento para almacenar la emisora en la memoria; la unidad
continuará buscando automáticamente la siguiente emisora disponible después.
• Ignore el punto decimal para la banda FM cuando introduzca los números de
frecuencia. Por ejemplo para acceder a FM 89.3 MHz, introduzca 8 9 3.
• Si la frecuencia introducida no está dentro del área de cobertura, la pantalla mostrará
el símbolo “Err” (error).
MÉTODO 2: SINTONIZACIÓN MANUAL
A. Búsqueda de frecuencia:
Presione el botón VF para entrar al
modo de frecuencia y luego gire el
dial SINTONIZADOR para seleccionar
la emisora deseada.
B. Búsqueda en la memoria:
Presione el botón VM para entrar en el modo de memoria y luego gire el dial
SINTONIZADOR para seleccionar las emisoras almacenadas.
