Foreword
As a semi in-ground pool owner, French law (n° 2003-9, art. L. 128-1) requires you
to secure the access to the pool by children under 5 years old.
ALBIGÈS deals with your concerns with its SKIN Wood®& SKIN Wood Light®
safety covers, which are compliant with the NF P 90-308 standard.
DECLARATION OF COMPLIANCE
ALBIGÈS declares that it has manufactured the

1. List of the elements composing the SKIN Wood®& SKIN Wood Light®covers.
• A cover (1) produced in the factory to the pool shape plus the overlap.
• A bag (2) containing as many anchor hooks (3) + screws (4) and bungees (5) as there are 1/2 moon
double buckles on the SKIN Wood cover and double eyelets on the SKIN Wood Light cover.

2.1. When your order is delivered:
• Open the pack in the presence of the delivery driver and check the condion of the goods and
their compliance.
• Keep the original packing
2.2. If there is damage or missing items:
• Write your reserves on the delivery document (for example: burst pack). The statement
"subject to unpacking" alone is null and void.
• Send the transporter a registered leer (with acknowledgement of receipt) within three days
of the delivery. This leer must accurately detail the damage found.
• Send a copy to ALBIGÈS for informaon.
3. Installaon kit
Equipment:
• 1 power screwdriver (wireless imperave)
• 1 tape measure

• For a 6 x 3 pool, the pack weighs 20 kg and measures 0.35 x 0.35 x 0.50(h)
• For an 8 x 4 pool, the pack weighs 33 kg and measures 0.40 x 0.40 x 0.60(h)
2. Checks on delivery
We cannot be held liable for loss or damage due to transport. Our goods
are sold ex works from ALBIGÈS. They travel at the risk of the addressee
(Art. 100 of the French Commercial Code), even if we advance the
transport costs on your behalf.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER
AND COMPLETE INSTALLATION
1. Installaon
1.1 The label on the PVC packing bag indicates the exact cover dimensions.
1.2. Check the pool dimensions (on the outside of the coping) and carry out the following calculaon:
(Cover dim.) - (Pool total dim. ) = A
A / 2 = B
1.3. Using the screws provided (25 mm screws: check the thickness of the wood to avoid screwing
through it), x an anchoring hook in each corner, (20 cm + B for Skin Wood and 15 cm + B for SKIN
Wood Light) under the coping, with the opening towards the boom.
1.4. Carry the cover next to the pool.
1.5. Stretch it out on a width so that the SKIN Wood straps or the SKIN Wood Light seam are under the
cover when it is deployed.

1.6. Connect the bungees to the 1/2 moon double
buckles on the SKIN Wood or the double
eyelets on the SKIN Wood Light in corners A
and B and anchor it on the anchoring hook
that is already installed.
1.7. Connect the bungees to the 1/2 moon double
buckles on the SKIN Wood or the double
eyelets on the SKIN Wood Light in opposite
corners C and D and stretch the cover over
the pool.
Anchor the loop in the anchoring hook that
has already been xed.
1.8. Make sure the cover is correctly in place and screw all the required anchoring hooks opposite
each double 1/2 moon or each double eyelet (see previous page).

1.9. Fit all the bungees and stretch them around
the anchoring hooks.

SAFETY ADVICE
• We cannot recommend that parents learn lifesaving techniques strongly enough.
• Memorise the emergency service phone numbers and display them near the pool:

• A child can drown in less than three minutes. No protecon of any kind can replace the oversight
and vigilance of a responsible adult, which remains the essenal factor in the protecon of young
children. This cover is not a substute for common sense or personal liability.
• The cover must be systemacally in place at mes when there is no monitoring, however short
they may be.
• The person in charge of operang the cover must make sure there is nobody and no objects
in the pool and always keep the pool in full view during opening or closure operaons. It is essenal
to fully open or close the cover, without ever leaving it in an intermediate posion.
• Prevent from climbing onto, walking on or jumping on a safety cover.
• Always check that the pool water level remains constant and compliant with the use height
(2/3 from the top of the skimmers) as recommended by the manufacturer.
• If the cover is altered or if a malfuncon prevents the pool from being covered and secured, take
all necessary steps to prevent young children from accessing the pool unl the cover has been
repaired.
Be aware that safety is only assured with a closed, locked cover which is
correctly installed in compliance with the manufacturer's instrucons.
WARNING
Swimming pools can be a serious danger for your children. Drowning happens
very quickly. Near pools, children require permanent oversight and acve
vigilance, even if they can swim.
The physical presence of a responsible adult is
essenal when the swimming pool is uncovered.

USE
1. Uncovering the pool
The pool cover must be removed by responsible adults following the in-
strucons given below.
CAUTION
1.1. Unhook the bungees from around the cover except in the corners.
1.2. Unhook the bungees on the opposite side to
the storage side and bring the cover to the
pool deck on the storage side and fold it like a
concerna.
1.3. Once the cover has been taken o fold it along the width.
1.4. Move the cover away from the deck to limit the risks of accidental falls.

2. Covering the pool
French law imposes that pools be covered as soon as they are no longer in use. The cover must be
installed aer having checked that there are no bathers or foreign objects that could prevent the
operaon in the pool.
2.1. Place the cover near the pool and stretch it along the width.
2.2. Place the cover on the coping between A and B and hook the bungees in the corners to stretch
the cover.
2.3. 2 adults should each take an opposite corner, stretch the cover over the pool and x the corner
bungees (C and D).
Always keep the pool in full view during opening and closure operaons

2.4. Fix all the bungees along the lengths and widths.

The cover is tested on the coping; if an alarm is ed, you must make
sure that all protuberances are eliminated when the cover is ed.
Cauon, safety is only provided by a closed, locked cover which is properly
installed in compliance with our instrucons.
This cover is not a substute for common sense or personal liability.
It does not aim to replace the vigilance of parents and/or responsible
adults, which remains the essenal factor in the protecon of young
children.
This cover should never be considered to be a walking area: as a result
never intenonally climb onto, walk on or jump on the safety cover!
