General informaon
Reading and storing the user manual
This user manual accompanies this Designer Alarm Clock. It contains important
informaon on handling the product. For improved readability, the Designer Alarm
Clock will be referred to below simply as the “alarm clock.”
Before using the alarm clock, read the user manual carefully. This parcularly applies to the
safety notes. Failure to observe this user manual may result in severe injury or damage to
the alarm clock.
When abroad, you must also observe country-specic guidelines and laws. Store the user
manual for future use. If you pass the clock on to third pares, please be absolutely sure to
include this user manual.
Explanaon of symbols
The following symbols and signal words are used in this user manual, on the alarm clock or
on the packaging.
WARNING!
This symbol/signal word designates a hazard with moderate degree of risk which may lead
to death or severe injury if not avoided.
NOTICE!
This signal word warns against potenal damages to property.
Declaraon of conformity (see chapter “Declaraon of conformity”): Products
labelled with this symbol meet all applicable provisions of the European Econo-
mic Area.
Safety
Proper use
The alarm clock is designed only as a means for keeping me and for use as an alarm clock.
The alarm clock is only intended for private use and not suitable for commercial purposes.
Only use the alarm clock as described in this user manual. Any other use is considered
improper and may result in damage to property. The manufacturer or vendor accepts no
liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.
Safety notes
WARNING!
Danger of suocaon and risk of injury!
The alarm clock contains baeries and small parts. While playing, children could swallow
baeries, small parts, or package wrappings and choke.
• Keep the baeries, small parts, and package wrappings away from infants/small child-
ren.
• If a baery or small parts are swallowed, seek immediate medical aenon.
• Keep the alarm clock out of the reach of infants/small children.
WARNING!
Risk of explosion and chemical burns!
Improper handling of baeries poses the risk of explosions or chemical burns caused by
leaking baery acid.
• Only replace the baery with equivalent baery types.
• Non-rechargeable baeries are not to be recharged, do not disassemble them, do not
dispose of them in re and do not short circuit them.
• Do not expose the baery to intense heat like sunshine or re. Risk of leakage!
• When inserng the baery, make sure that the polarity (+/–) is correct.
• Immediately remove an empty baery from the alarm clock.
• Do not allow baery acid to come into contact with skin, eyes, or mucous membranes.
• In the event of contact with baery acid, rinse the aected areas immediately with
plenty of water and, if you experience an unexpected reacon, see a doctor immedia-
tely.
• Avoid overheang the alarm clock and consequently the inserted baery.
• If the baery in the clock has leaked, also clean the baery contacts.
WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with impaired physical, sensory or men-
tal capacies (e.g. parally disabled persons, older persons with reduced
physical and mental capacies) or lack of experience and knowledge (e.g.
older children).
This alarm clock is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instrucon concer-
ning use of the alarm clock by a person responsible for their safety. Children
must not play with the alarm clock. Cleaning and user maintenance may not
be performed by children unless they are under supervision.
• Keep children away from the alarm clock.
• Do not let children play with the packaging wrapper. They could swallow it and suoca-
te.

NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
If you use the alarm clock improperly or water penetrates the housing, the alarm clock or the
baery may be damaged.
• Protect the alarm clock from exposure to dirt and dust, extreme heat and sunlight.
• Keep the alarm clock away from open ames (e.g. candles).
• Do not drop the alarm clock, do not expose it to shocks and impacts do not posion any
objects on the alarm clock and do not apply pressure to the alarm clock otherwise the
glass may break.
• Do not bin any sharp or pointed objecst in contact with the glass to avoid damage.
• Never immerse the alarm clock in water.
• Make sure that no water penetrates the housing.
NOTICE!
Please make sure that your alarm clock is not permanently subjected to humidity and
please avoid condions such as dust, heat or prolonged solar radiaon. The alarm clock is
protected against impacts that may occur during normal use. However, very strong mag-
nec elds (e.g. from electric welding devices, transformers, etc.) must be avoided in any
case, sin they may cause deviaons in me measurement.
Checking the alarm clock and package contents
1. Remove the alarm clock 1from the packaging.
2. Check whether the product contents are complete and if the alarm clock is damaged or
not (see g. A and B).
3. If the delivery is incomplete and/or if parts are damaged, do not use the alarm clock.
Contact the manufacturer via the service address indicated on the warranty card.
Inial use
Inserng the baery
Open the baery compartment 5on the rear of the alarm clock 1and insert the bat-
tery, ensuring the correct polarity. Start with the plus pole. Before inserng the baery we
recommend to place the ribbon under the baery so that you can remove it more easily.
Mounng of the support/foot
Take the support/foot 6in your hand and slide it into the intended holes on the rear of
the alarm clock. (see g. B).

Operaon
Seng the me
Set the me by turning the adjustment wheel for me 4coun-
terclockwise unl the correct me is displayed (see g. B).
Seng the alarm me
Set the me by turning the adjustment wheel for alarm me 3
counterclockwise unl the desired alarm me is displayed (see g.
B).
Acvang/Deacvang the alarm
For acvang the alarm shi the ON/OFF switch to „ON“ (see g. B).
The alarm will be sounded at the me set. For deacvang the alarm
shi the ON/OFF switch to „OFF“.
Baery change and technical data
Open the cover of the baery compartment 5at the rear of the
alarm clock. Insert a new 1.5 V baery type LR6/R6/AA (1 x 1.5 V LR6/
R6/AA) ensuring correct polarity and subsequently close the cover of
the baery compartment. Please only replace a baery by a baery
of equal type.
Cleaning
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper cleaning may damage the alarm clock.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaners, sharp or metal-
lic cleaning utensils such as knives or similar. They could
damage the surfaces.
• Clean the alarm clock with a so, damp cloth.

relevant provisions of the RoHS-Direcve 2011/65/EU.

Disposing of the alarm clock
(Applicable in the European Union and other European countries
with established systems for separated collecon of recyclables.)
Waste equipment must not be disposed of together with domesc
waste!
This symbol indicates that disposing of this product
together with domesc waste is prohibited under the
direcve on waste electrical and electronic equipment
(2012/19/EU) and naonal laws. This product must be
le with a collecon point specically designated for this purpose.
This can be carried out by returning the product on purchasing a
similar product or leaving the product with an authorised collecon
point for recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
Due to potenally hazardous materials which are oen contained
in waste electrical and electronic equipment, incorrect handling
of waste equipment may have adverse eects on the environment
and human health. By disposing of this product correctly you also
contribute to an eecve usage of natural resources. Informaon
on waste equipment collecon points can be obtained at your local
authories, public bodies responsible for waste management, an
authorised body responsible for the disposal of waste electrical and
