Assembly instructions Beam-antenna for ALF
Fundamental:
This antenna is a beam-antenne designed for the 2.4
GHz WLAN frequency band ith a performance gain of
17dbi. Through the rich performance gain and the strong
signal bundling, very high distances can be bridged. The
assembly takes place on a rod ith diameter 38 - 51mm.
The antenna cable must be tightly scre ed after
assembly, mounting the t o antennas in direct alignment
to each other.
Installation:
Attention: No liability for performance or durability
problems, losses are taken over if the assembly as not
carried out according to this manual.

Malfunctions on the Bus although everything is (apparently) connected properly?
The S7-LAN can also be used for controlling/checking the MPI/Profibus. It will be
plugged on the Bus so that you can take a look at the status of the busses via software on
PC, for example the numbers of parity errors.

Message via SMS (SMSC)
A SMS to a mobile phone is basically send by SMSC. Within the GSM-network it takes
place via on-net SMSC. Thereby it's unimportant in which mobile network the receiver is.
The message is activated by:
- digital contacts (relays, motion detector...)
- serial interface (PLC, PC, Microcontroller ...) bitserial (PLC)
The detection system transmits the SMS to the mobile network operator. The mobile
network operator provides the SMS to the mobile phone. Optionally the detection system
dials the mobile phone to wake up" the receiver or to initiate the confirmation handling.
Wireless around the Bosch-PLC
Move wirelessly around the Bosch-PLC and communicate for example ONLINE in the
status

Extend MPI/DP-bus over network or convert to network
MPI/DP communication between two S7-300/400 controllers on the same bus
- a control is relocated spatially:
2x S7-LAN with activated X_PUT/X_GET module, the data is transported between the
modules via the network.
- a control is replaced by a PN control:
1x S7-LAN with activated X_PUT/X_GET module and the received-data are transferred
automatically to the configured PN-PLC via PUT/GET.
S7-CP-replacement (without LAN-CP to the PLC-device)
Do you have a S7-PLC-device without CP243-1, CP343-1 or CP443-1 and would like to
connect via LAN? Then plug the S7-LAN on the PLC-device and your access via
RFC1006 is ready for use.
