Installing the Z-wave Plus Module
IMPORTANT: the batteries must be removed prior to removing and/or
inserting the network module:
Remove battery cover and batteries.
Remove and/or insert network module.
Re-install batteries and battery cover
About Z-wave
This lock is a security enabled Z-wave product.
Inclusion(join) is detailed in Programming instruction under “Network
pairing instruction”
Exclusion(log off) is detailed in Programming instruction under “Network
pairing instruction”
This lock could be integrate with any Z-wave controller, from any
manufacturer.The lock will have limited functionality if integrated with a
non-secure controller.
Z-wave function descriptions
This device is a security enabled Z-wave Plus product that is able to
use encrypted Z-wave Plus messages to communicate to other security
S2 enabled Z-wave Plus products. This device must be used in
conjunction with a security enabled Z-wave controller in order to fully

utilize all implemented functions. This product can be operated in any
Z-wave network with other Z-wave certified devices from other
manufacturers. All non-battery operated nodes within the network will
act as repeaters regardless of vendor to increase reliability of the
network.
-Join a network: inclusion Z-wave network and add the lock.
Follow the user guide of hub to enter inclusion mode.
Operate on lock following guide below:
Enter master mode(refer to programming instruction)
Input “8” to enter “function extension settings”
Input “1” to join a network.
-Log off a network: Exclusion Z-wave network and remove the lock
Follow the user guide of hub to enter exclusion mode.
Operate on lock following guide below:
Enter master mode(refer to programming instruction)
Input “8” to enter “function extension settings”
Input “2” to log off a network.
-Factory reset:
Operations on lock

Open the door and keep the lock in "unlock" status
Open battery box and find the reset button.
Use a sharp thing to press and hold the reset button.
Keep holding the reset button and remove a battery from battery
box then replace it.
Keep holding the reset button until hearing voice guide.
※Please use this procedure only when the network primary controller is
missing.

Alfred Z-wave Plus locks only support 2 door lock modes : Door
Secured(0xFF) and Door Unsecured (0x00)
Alfred locks do not support timed operation from the door lock
command class.

The door lock will only retain valid user code types(0x00,0x01). All
other values will be ignored.
Alfred locks support multiple different user status bytes:

Please Save the QR Code carefully.
If both the DSK representation on the product and any DSK provided
in the product packaging were to fade,rub off,or be lost,the device would
not be able to be added to a Z-Wave network.
You can find the QR code on back side of module.
You may also find the QR Code and DSK on individual package of
each module.
