Thank you for choosing our Alfresia Digital Electronic Water Time. Please
read this user manual carefully and keep it for future reference. If you need

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This product is designed to be fitted with 2 removable, non-rechargeable, AA
(mignon) batteries. Batteries are not supplied with this product.
In the event of the battery leaking, do not allow any liquid to come into
contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the area with
copious amounts of water and seek medical advice. Discontinue use of the
product immediately and dispose of safely.
When replacing the batteries always ensure that the replacement batteries
are inserted with the correct polarity.
Replacement batteries are to be a like for like replacement.
Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the appliance and disposed of.
Do not dispose of batteries in household waste, take them to a local
recycling center or collection point.
Do not mix different types of batteries or new and used batteries.
Do not short circuit the supply terminals, store above 60°c or expose the
battery to mechanical shock, heat or fire as this will damage the battery.
Do not crush, puncture, dismantle or otherwise damage the battery.
Rechargeable batteries should be removed from the product before being
charged.
Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
Avoid storing the product in direct sunlight or placing near to excessive heat
sources such as fire. If the appliance is to be stored for a long period, the
batteries should be removed before storage.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge providing they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be undertaken
by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.

This is not a toy - children should be supervised to ensure they do not play
with the product. Keep the product out of reach of children less than 8 years.
This timer is only designed for domestic outdoor use to control sprinklers or
irrigation systems for watering, and can not be used for industrial purposes
which include contact with food, chemicals and pesticides.
The timer is water resistant, and not water proof. The timer must be installed
above ground and vertically to the tap. Do not immerse the timer in water.
Operating water pressure is from 0.5 bar to 8 bars (7psi to 116 psi). Do not
connect direct to a water tank which has lower pressure than 0.5 bar.
Use with clean and fresh water only with temperature above 1°C and below
60°C
Do not pull the hose while attached to the timer. This may damage the timer.
Always disconnect the water timer and bring inside during winter or in
freezing conditions to prevent damage to the water time.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Remove timer from tap and drain water from inside the product.
Clean outer surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and a small amount of mild dish
washing detergent. Rinse the filter in cool, clean water and allow all parts to
dry naturally before re-assembly. Clean filter regularly for best performance.
Once dry: store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place away from direct
sunlight, children and animals with the batteries removed.
INSERTING AND REPLACING THE BATTERIES
Slide out the battery compartment (1) on the back of the product and insert 2
x AA (mignon) 1.5V Alkaline batteries (not included).
When the batteries are inserted, the LCD display (5) will show the clock time.
If replacing exhausted batteries, wait 60 seconds for the screen to clear
before re-inserting the battery compartment.
Turn dial (6) to the OFF position before connecting to a tap.
WARNING: Use only fresh alkaline batteries at the beginning of the
season. Do not use rechargeable batteries.

INSTRUTIONS FOR USE
Connecting the water timer to a tap
For 3/4’’ taps: install the timer onto the tap with the 3/4’’ adaptor (2) included.
For 1’’ taps: remove the 3/4’’ tap adaptor (2) from the product by holding the
1’’ tap connector (3) and unscrewing the 3/4” tap adaptor. Leave the filter (4)
in place in the 1” adaptor (3) and connect to the tap directly.
Screw the chosen adaptor onto the screw thread on the end of the tap until a
tight seal is formed.
WARNING: Do not use spanners or pliers to attach the timer onto the
tap to avoid damage to the timer.
Connecting a hose to the water timer
To connect a hose fitted with a female snap-on connector to the water timer:
Support the water timer with one hand
With the other hand gently but firmly press the female snap-on
connector on the hose onto the male snap-on connector (14) at the
bottom of the timer until the connectors lock into place.
To disconnect the hose:
Support the water timer with one hand
Gently but firmly pull the release ring on the female snap-on connector
attached to the hose to release the connector.
Setting the Clock
Turn the dial (6) to SET CLOCK. Press + BUTTON (8) or - Button (9) to
advance or reverse the clock time (hold button for quick advance or reverse).

Setting the watering start time
Turn the dial (6) to START TIME position. Press + Button (8) or - Button (9)
to advance or reverse start time (hold button for quick advance or reverse).
Note: Where the display shows no start time has
been set in this situation
Setting the watering duration
Turn the dial (6) to HOW LONG position. Press + Button (8) or - Button (9) to
advance or reverse run time (hold button for quick advance or reverse).
Available settings are: 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 seconds or
1-360 minutes.

Setting the watering frequency
Turn the dial (6) to HOW OFTEN position. Press + Button (8) or - Button (9)
to advance or reverse watering frequency (hold button for quick advance or
reverse).
Available settings are: 10, 30 seconds or 1, 3, 5 minutes or 1, 2, 4, 12 hours
or 1-7 days).
Note: The watering frequency should be longer than the duration of
watering.
(e.g: how often = 3 mins, How long = 5 mins, is NOT A VALID SETTING)
If the watering frequency is set at less than 1 hour, timer will run immediately
after setting is saved and the dial (6) is at RUN position.
Running the watering programme
Turn the dial (6) to RUN position, to run the programmed settings. The
screen (5) will flash between clock time and next start watering time.

Using the Rain Delay function
When the dial (6) is at RUN position and the program is saved, the rain delay
button (10) can be used to delay watering.
Press the rain delay button (10) to cycle through the time delay options of 0,
24, 48 or 72 hours. When the desired delay is displayed the delay to the
watering programme will begin.
During rain delay the screen (5) will flash between clock time and hours
remaining before program resumes.
To cancel the rain delay, turn the dial (6) to OFF and then back to RUN.
Using the timer to water manually
Manual watering is for one time instant watering without interrupting the set
program.
Press the manual on/off button (11) and then press the + Button (8) or -
Button (9) to set the duration from 0 to 240 minutes. Once the desired
duration is displayed, manual watering will start within 3 seconds.
During manual watering the screen will flash between clock time and
minutes remaining until the normal program resumes.
To cancel manual watering either press the manual on/off button (11) or turn
the dial (6) to OFF and then back to RUN
The symbol on this product or its packaging means that this product may not
be treated as household waste. It should be handed to an appropriate collection
point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. Contact your local
council or household waste disposal service for further information.
Do not dispose of electrical appliances or batteries as unsorted municipal waste, use
separate collection facilities.

Guarantee
Our products are guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
Products that develop a fault within this period are covered by our warranty and we
will replace defective parts, or where not available the whole product. The warranty
does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful
damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as
recommended by us, failure to follow our instructions, any alteration or repair carried
out without our approval or has been the subject of commercial use. Your statutory
rights remain unaffected, in particular any rights you have under the Consumer
Rights Act 2015.
If you have a problem with your product within this warranty period please contact
our customer services team.
In the event of changes to the specification of a product and we are not able to
replace parts, we will replace the whole product within the 2 year guarantee period
For products that fall outside of the 2 year guarantee, we will endeavor to provide
spare parts to purchase for as many of the replaceable parts as possible, but cannot
foresee specification changes or upgrades to products or parts outside of the initial 2
year period.
