• Clean the plates using a dishwasher agent and a non-abrasive sponge.
• The grill is made up of two independent removable plates (b) that can be used either separately or together.
When you install the plates, make sure that they are well placed. It is indispensable that both plates are installed
on the appliance, even if you only intend to use one.
• Install the removable splash guard (a).
• To get the drip tray(h) in the Use position, pull it about 1cm until it is aligned with the front surface of the
appliance (to be done once, while unpacking the product: the drip tray has to be released as it was pushed inside
the product to be protected).
• Unwind the cord completely.
• Do not touch the metallic parts of the appliance while it is being preheated or used because they are very hot.
• Make sure the thermostats (g) are in the mini position (on the position) and then plug the cord to a wall
outlet.
• The red light (located in the center) (d) will turn on and remain on to indicate that the cord is plugged in.
• Preheat the grill(s) fixing the thermostat controller(s) (g) in the maximum position until the green LED

10
TIPS TO OBTAIN BETTER COOKING RESULTS
• Increase or decrease the cooking temperature according to your taste and to the nature of the food being
prepared (quantity, thickness, etc.).
• Wait for the green light(s) to turn off: This indicates that the grill has reached the desired cooking temperature.
• For best results and in order to keep the food from sticking, always make sure to cook on a clean surface.
• Place the thermostat(s) (g) in the mini position (on the position).
• Unplug the cord from the wall outlet.
• Let the appliance cool.
• Make sure the appliance is unplugged and well cooled off before you start to clean it.
• Do not pour cold water on the grill while it is still hot.
CLEANING THE PLATES
• In order to remove the plates (b) from the base after use, once they are cooled off use the handles (f) located
at either side of the appliance. When you turn and pull the handles (f) simultaneously, the plates (b) move
backward. This way, you can remove them easily.
• The removable splash guard (a), the plates (b) and the drip tray (h) can all go in the automatic dishwasher.
• Once you have pushed any remaining food particles into the drip tray with the enclosed plastic spatulas (i or
j), you may also wash the plates using a sponge and your usual dishwashing agent.
