HOW TO USE
YOUR AMULET
You’re ready! Here’s a step-by-step
guide to running your rst test.
INSERT FOOD INTO SAMPLER
Remove instructions cu, and
place a small amount of food in
sampler. Don’t overll.
PUSH AND TWIST
Push cap down to cover rst line.
Twist until second line disappears
and sampler is sealed tightly. Place
sampler aside.
PAIR YOUR AMULET (OPTIONAL)
Open the app. Click the side button
on the Amulet to wake it and initiate
pairing. Follow app instructions. Keep
the Amulet near your phone.
STARTING A TEST
Click side button to wake Amulet.
Tap Amulet face to scroll, and click
side button to make a selection.
SHAKE, PLUG, AND WAIT
Shake sampler when instructed
then insert sampler into Amulet.
Make sure arrows face each other.
Select “Yes” to run test.
GET YOUR RESULTS
Results should appear in
approximately 60 seconds.
FAQS
WILL I NEED A NEW AMULET FOR EACH ALLERGEN?
No way! The Amulet is a one-time purchase—the
same unit can accommodate dierent samplers.
ARE SAMPLERS REUSABLE OR DISPOSABLE?
Samplers are currently single-use. You’ll need a new
sampler for each test.
HOW DO I COLLECT A FOOD SAMPLE?
You can use a utensil or your hand—whatever you’re
comfortable with.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RUN A TEST?
You should receive a detection result within
approximately 1 minute.
WHAT TYPES OF FOODS DOES THE AMULET TEST?
It can test a wide variety of solids and liquids—from
granola bars and cupcakes, to salads and soups.
DO I NEED WI-FI OR A SMARTPHONE FOR IT TO WORK?
The Amulet doesn’t require Wi-Fi or a smartphone
to run a test. However, by using our app and sharing
your test results, you’ll help us improve the user
experience while also helping the food allergy
community.

IMPORTANT
Avoid touching or tampering with the sampler chip prior to testing.
Doing so could compromise the integrity of the results.
Do not ingest sampler contents. If the sampler solution makes
skin contact, wash affected areas with soap and water.

The Amulet isn’t scuba certified, don’t get it wet!

STEP 01
To run a test, you’ll need your AMULET, a SAMPLER,
and your SMARTPHONE (optional).
STEP 02
Before rst use, CHARGE YOUR AMULET fully. The three
charging dots on the back of the Amulet should align
with those inside the charger.
STEP 03
Download the ALLERGY AMULET APP.
Create an account to upload test
results, adjust tap sensitivity, and
pick dierent watch faces!

REMEMBER!
You’re testing a representative sample, so make sure to:
Always carry your epinephrine.
Inform those preparing your food
about your allergies.
Take all other precautions you would
normally take when eating.
The Amulet only tests a sample of your food which
may not be representative. The Amulet accordingly
serves as a complement, not a substitute, to the
precautionary measures you would normally take
when managing your food allergy.
