Introduction
The ALOGIC Super Dock is a revolutionary product which addresses the diering capabilities
of Windows, Mac and Chromebook computers to provide a portable docking solution that can
connect multiple peripherals and drive up to two external monitors independently from any
computer.
The key to the product’s ability to do this is the integrated twin cable assembly which connects to
the host computer.
The two cables are as follows:
Primary Connection – Connect to Every Computer
The primary cable is marked with a dot symbol on the connector (•). This cable connects all the
ports on the dock to the computer and should be connected to the computer in every instance.
In addition to connecting the ports on the dock to the computer, this cable also carries video.
Depending on the capabilities of the connected computer, video can be sent to two monitors over
this connection at up to 4K UHD resolution at 60Hz.
Secondary Connection – Connect to Apple MacBook Computers
Some computers, such as Apple MacBooks, are unable to drive
two monitors independently over USB-C using the Multi Stream
Transport (MST) standard. Limitations also exist on the maximum
video resolution that can be shared with data over a single USB-C
cable that are dependent on the DisplayPort version supported by
the computer.
For computers with either of these limitations, both the primary
and secondary cables should be connected at the same time.
The secondary cable addresses the limitations to allow a second
external monitor to be used with the device on virtually any
modern computer, at the highest resolutions possible.
Apple computers are the most common type of computers which require the second cable to be
connected. The connectors on the cable have been designed to magnetically attach to each other
and connect directly to the twin ports on the side of Apple MacBook computers.
Users of Windows and Chromebook PCs generally do not need to connect the secondary cable
but doing so can provide access to higher output resolutions for users who wish to connect to
dual 4K displays (for example). If the cable is not in use, it can be looped back and clipped to itself
using the integrated tether to keep it out of the way when using the device as shown below.

Connecting to the Computer
To use the device, connect one or both of the integrated USB-C cables to your
computer as follows:
The activity LED will illuminate when the device is plugged in to show it is connected and
powered. The device is Plug and Play compatible and will be detected and configured by your
computer automatically. This process will take a few seconds the first time you plug the device into
your machine and you may receive a notification that it has been installed and is ready for use.
Once the device has been recognised and set up by your computer it is ready for use and you can
connect other devices as desired such as HDMI monitors, USB devices and a network cable.

Not all USB-C ports on Windows and Chromebook computers support video output. Ensure
that you connect the device to a port or ports that are video capable if using a Windows or
Chromebook machine.
Refer to the USB-C Port Video Support section of this manual for further details.
The USB-A port on the front of the unit next to the USB-C port supports rapid charging of
mobile devices at up to 1.5A. If charging a device, ensure you connect it to this port. The
USB-C port labelled PD supports USB Power Delivery Passthrough for charging your computer
via the dock. A USB PD power supply can be connected to this port.
Connecting Devices to the Super Dock
Connect external devices such as memory cards, USB memory sticks and external monitors to the
dock as necessary. Refer to pages 2 to 4 for details of the available ports and their functions.

Connecting Power
The device can be powered over the connection from the computer and needs no external power
supply for mobile use.
For computers that support charging of the computer through their USB-C ports using USB-C
Power Delivery (USB PD) however, it is recommended that a USB PD power supply is connected to
the port marked PD on the device.
Connecting a USB PD power source to the PD port will charge your computer through the Super
Dock without the need to connect other cables to your computer and will provide more power to
the dock to power and charge any devices connected to it.
Not every USB-C port on notebook computers supports charging. If your computer doesn’t
start charging when a power supply is connected to the device and the device is connected to
your computer, try a dierent USB-C port on your machine or consult the computer’s manual
to determine which ports accept power from USB PD power sources.

Video Output Support
The following section outlines the maximum video output resolution and refresh rate combinations
available to computers for a given DisplayPort version supported by their USB-C ports.
If in doubt about whether a USB-C port supports video output, consult the user manual for your
computer or the support information on the manufacturer’s website.
The device can be used with USB-C ports which do not support video output; however you will
not be able to connect the HDMI ports to external monitors and show video. The other ports
(Ethernet, audio, card readers and USB ports) will be functional.
USB-C Port Video Support
Not all USB-C ports support video output. Many Windows and Chromebook computers have
multiple USB-C ports, but only support video output from one or two of them. If using a Windows
or Chromebook machine it is important to ensure that you plug the device into a port/ports which
supports video output for it to be able to show video on external monitors.

Den Computer anschließen
Vor Gebrauch dieses Gerätes schließen Sie eine oder beide der integrierten USB-C
Kabel wie folgt an Ihren Computer an:
Die Aktivitäts-LED wird aufleuchten, wenn das Gerät angeschlossen und mit Strom versorgt ist.
Das Gerät ist Plug-and-Play kompatibel und wird von Ihrem Computer automatisch erkannt und

Verbindungsstärke

Video Output Unterstützung

Wenn Sie nicht sicher sind, ob ein USB-C Anschluss Video Output unterstützt, wenden Sie sich

• Sollte der Computer nach all diesen Kontrollen den externen Monitor oder den Video

Introducción
La estación de acoplamiento Súper Dock de ALOGIC es un producto revolucionario que aborda
el tema de las capacidades diferentes de las computadoras Windows, Mac y Chromebook
para proporcionar una solución portátil de una estación de acoplamiento que pueda conectar
periféricos múltiples y manejar hasta dos monitores externos de cualquier computadora de
manera independiente.
La clave de la habilidad de este producto para hacer esto es el ensamblaje integrado de cables
gemelos que se conectan al computador anfitrión.

Conexión primaria – Se conecta a cualquier computador
El cable primario está marcado con un símbolo de un punto en el conector (•). Este cable conecta
todos los puertos en la Súper Dock a la computadora y debe ser conectado a la computadora en
cada caso. Además de conectar a la computadora los puertos en la estación, este cable también

Conexión Secundaria – Se conecta a computadoras Apple MacBook
Algunas computadoras, como las Apple MacBooks, no pueden
manejar dos monitores independientemente desde sus USB-C usando
el Transmisor de flujo múltiple (MST) estándar. También existen
limitaciones en la resolución máxima del video que puede compartirse
con datos por medio de un solo cable USB-C que dependa de la
versión DisplayPort admitida por la computadora.
En las computadoras con estas limitaciones, ambos cables, el
primario y el secundario, deben ser conectados al mismo tiempo.
El cable secundario se encarga de las limitaciones para permitir
que un segundo monitor externo pueda usarse con el dispositivo
o virtualmente con cualquier computadora moderna, con la mayor
resolución posible.
Las computadoras Apple son los tipos de computadoras más comunes que requieren que se les
conecte el segundo cable. Los conectores en el cable han sido diseñados para acoplarse entre sí
magnéticamente y conectarse directamente a los puertos gemelos ubicados en el lado lateral de
las computadoras Apple MacBook.
Los usuarios de PCs Windows y Chromebook generalmente no necesitan conectar el cable
secundario, pero hacerlo puede proporcionar acceso a salidas con resoluciones mas altas,
para usuarios que desean conectarse a pantallas duales 4K (por ejemplo). Si el cable no se está
usando, puede enrollarse y sujetarse con un clip usando la pieza integrada, como se muestra a

Conexión a la computadora
Para usar el dispositivo, conecte uno o ambos cables integrados USB-C a su
computadora, según se indica a continuación:
La actividad LED se iluminará cuando el dispositivo se enchufe para señalar que ya está
conectado y con energía. El dispositivo es compatible con arranque automático (Plug & Play)
y su computadora lo detectará y configurará automáticamente. Este proceso se tomará varios
segundos la primera vez que enchufe el dispositivo a su máquina y es posible que reciba una
notificación de que ha sido instalado y que ya está listo para ser usado.
Una vez el dispositivo haya sido reconocido e instalado por su computadora, estará listo para
ser usado y usted puede conectar los dispositivos que desee, tales como: monitores HDMI,
dispositivos USB y cables de red.

El puerto USB-A en la parte frontal de la unidad y al lado del puerto USB-C, admite una carga
rápida de dispositivos móviles de hasta 1.5A. Si pone a cargar un dispositivo, asegúrese
de conectarlo a este puerto. El puerto USB-C etiquetado PD admite un USB de entrega de
energía (Power Delivery Passthrough) para cargar su computadora por medio de la estación.
Puede conectarse a este puerto una fuente de poder USB PD.

Conexión de la energía eléctrica
El dispositivo móvil puede recibir energía por medio de la computadora y no necesita una fuente
de energía externa para su uso.
Sin embargo, las computadoras que admiten cargarse a través de sus puertos USB-C con el uso
de puertos USB-C de fuente de energía (USB PD), es recomendable que una fuente de energía
USB PD sea conectada al puerto marcado PD en el dispositivo.
La conexión de la fuente de energía al puerto PD, cargará su computadora a través del Súper
Dock sin necesidad de que otros cables sean conectados a su computadora, y proporcionará una
mayor energía a la estación de acoplamiento para alimentar y cargar cualquier dispositivo que sea
conectado a éste.
No todos los puertos USB-C en computadoras notebook admiten carga. Si su computadora
no comienza a cargarse cuando una fuente de energía sea conectada al dispositivo y éste, a
su vez, sea conectado a su computadora, pruebe un puerto USB-C diferente en su máquina
o consulte el manual de la computadora para determinar cuáles puertos aceptan energía de
fuentes de energía USB PD.

La siguiente sección describe la máxima resolución de salida de video y las combinaciones
disponibles del índice de actualización para computadoras con una determinada versión de
DisplayPort asistida por sus puertos USB-C.
Si tiene dudas sobre si un puerto USB-C admite salida de video, consulte el manual del usuario de
su computadora o la información de ayuda en el sitio web del fabricante.
El dispositivo puede ser usado con puertos USB-C que no admiten salida de video; sin embargo,
no podrá conectar los puertos HDMI a monitores externos para mostrar el video. Los otros
