FCC INSTRUCTIONS FOR A CLASS B DIGITAL DEVICE OR PERIPHERAL
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B

CONNECTING THE POWER CORD
(AC WALL OUTLET)
Snap plug into power supply and then insert the blades
into the outlet. Please note, the T515 can also be
powered with four AAA batteries.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

5. Do not use this apparatus near water — This
apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or
splashing, and no objects filled with liquids, such as
vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
6. Clean only with dry cloth.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in
accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The
apparatus should not be situated on a bed, sofa, rug
or similar surface that may block the ventilation
openings. The apparatus must not be placed in a
built-in installation, such as a closed bookcase or
cabinet that may impede the flow of air through the
ventilation openings. Ventilation should not be
impeded by covering the openings with items such
as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
8. Do not install near any heat sources such as
radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus
(including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9. No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles,
should be placed on the apparatus.
10. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or
grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two
blades with one wider than the other. A grounding
type plug has two blades and a third grounding
prong. The wide blade or the third prong are
provided for your safety. If the provided plug does
not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for the
replacement of the obsolete outlet.
11. Protect the power cord from being walked on or
pinched — particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit from
the apparatus.
12. Do not install in an area which impedes the access to
the power plug. Disconnecting the power plug is the
only way to completely remove power to the
product and must be readily accessible at all times.
13. Power source — Use only power supplies of the type
specified in the operating instructions or as marked
on the appliance. If a separate power supply is
included with this apparatus, do not substitute with
any other power supply — use only manufacturer-
provided power supplies.
14. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or
when unused for long periods of time.
15. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
Servicing is required when the apparatus has been
damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or
plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects
have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has
been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate
normally, or has been dropped. For service, refer to
qualified service personnel, return to the dealer, or
call the Altec Lansing service line for assistance.
16. For products which incorporate batteries, please
refer to local regulations for proper battery disposal.
17. Only use attachments/accessories specified by
the manufacturer.
18. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod,
bracket, or table specified by the
manufacturer or sold with the
apparatus. When a cart is used, use
caution when moving the cart/
apparatus combination to avoid injury
from tip-over.
The lightning flash with arrowhead,
within an equilateral triangle, is intended
to alert the user to the presence of
uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within
the product’s enclosure that may be of
sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk
of electric shock to persons.
Caution: To prevent the risk of electric
shock, do not remove cover (or back).
No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer
servicing to qualified service personnel.
The exclamation point within an
equilateral triangle is intended to alert
the user to the presence of important
operating and maintenance (servicing)
instructions in the literature
accompanying the appliance.

What Does The Warranty Cover?: Altec Lansing warrants
that its products shall be free from defects in materials or
workmanship, with the exceptions stated below.
What Is The Period Of Coverage?: For units purchased
in European Union or Asia, this warranty runs for two
years from the date of purchase. For units not purchased
in Europe or Asia, this warranty runs for one year from
the date of purchase. The term of any warranties implied
by law shall expire when your limited warranty expires.
Some states and/or Member States in the European
Union do not allow limitations on how long an implied
warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply
to you.
What Does The Warranty Not Cover?: This warranty does
not cover any defect, malfunction or failure that occurs
as a result of: improper installation; misuse or failure to
follow the product directions; abuse; or use with
improper, unintended or faulty equipment. (For
information on proper installation, operation and use
consult the manual supplied with the product. If you
require a replacement manual, you may download a
manual from www.alteclansing.com.) Also, consequential
and incidental damages are not recoverable under this
warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion or
limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the
above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
What Will Altec Lansing Do To Correct The Problem?:
Altec Lansing will, at its option, repair or replace any
product that proves to be defective in material or
workmanship. If your product is no longer being
manufactured, or is out of stock, at its option, Altec
Lansing may replace your product with a similar or
better Altec Lansing product.
How To Get Warranty Service: To get a covered
product repaired or replaced, you must contact Altec
Lansing during the warranty period by email
([email protected]). You must include in your
email, your name, address, email address, telephone
number, date of purchase and a complete description of
the problem you are experiencing. In the United States,
you may alternatively contact Altec Lansing by telephone
at 1-800-ALTEC88 — please be prepared to provide the
same information. If the problem appears to be related
to a defect in material or workmanship, Altec Lansing
will provide you a return authorization and instructions
for return shipment. Return shipments shall be at the
customer’s expense, and the return must be accompanied
by the original proof of purchase. You should insure the
shipment as appropriate because you are responsible for
the product until it arrives at Altec Lansing.
How Will State Law Affect Your Rights?: This warranty
gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have
other rights which vary from state to state. Please note
that in the European Union, you as a consumer might
have other legal rights under national legislation of
European Union Member States governing the sale of
Altec Lansing’s goods. Those rights are not affected by
this guarantee.
The above limited warranties and remedies are sole
warranties and remedies available to purchaser, if, and
to the extent, valid and enforceable under the
applicable law.

Turn your mobile phone
into a sound machine
The Altec Lansing T515 Bluetooth Speaker/Headset System integrates your mobile
phone and provides a speakerphone. It is also a portable stereo system with a
wearable headset and a microphone. You can listen to music on your mobile
phone, hear a phone call come in through the speakers or headset, take the call
with the touch of a button, then touch the button again to go back to the music.
For music-enabled Stereo
Bluetooth®(A2DP) mobile phones
A2DP protocol enables the wireless transmission of full stereo sound to other
Bluetooth devices. To determine whether your mobile phone is equipped with
A2DP-enabled Bluetooth technology, consult your mobile phone packaging, user’s
manual, or manufacturer’s website.

Charging the
Detachable Headset
To charge the T515 Detachable Headset
using your computer, connect it to your
computer with the USB charging cable.
The red indicator light turns on. When
the battery is fully charged, the red
indicator light shuts off.
To charge the T515 Detachable Headset
inside the T515 Mobile Speaker System,
connect it to a wall outlet using the
power supply included.
Note: After the Headset is charged,
remove it to avoid draining the
Speaker System batteries.
Charging the Headset’s rechargeable
battery takes about 3 hours. The red
indicator light automatically shuts off
once the battery is fully charged. If the
Detachable Headset has not been used
for a long time or if the rechargeable
battery is drained charging may take a
few minutes longer.
Note: After the Headset is charged,
remove it to avoid draining the
Speaker System battery.
Talk and Standby Time
The fully charged rechargeable battery
provides up to 7 hours of operation
time and up to 20 hours of standby
time.
With four AAA batteries (LR 03), the
Speaker System can provide up to 9
hours of operation time and 13 hours
of standby time.
Note: When no calls are in progress,
the Headset stays in standby mode.
Low Rechargeable
battery
When the Headset is on and detects
low voltage, the red indicator light
flashes every 3 seconds.
Turning Your
Detachable Headset
On/Off
To turn on the Headset when it is
separate from the Speaker System,
press and hold the button for
2 seconds. The blue indicator light
flashes 3 times and you hear a tone in
the ear phones.
To turn the Headset off, press and hold
the button for 3 seconds. The red
indicator light flashes 3 times and you
hear a tone in the ear phones.
Note: When docked, the Headset
automatically turns on if the Speaker
System is already on. Also, a docked
Headset automatically turns on or off
when the Speaker System is turned on
or off.

To turn the Speaker System on, press
the button.
To turn the Speaker System off, press
the button again.
Operation of
Detachable Headset
To pause the music, press the button
on the Headset when playing music
from a Bluetooth mobile handset
while the Headset is docked on the
Speaker System.
Pairing Your
Detachable Headset
Before using your Headset for the first
time, you must pair it with a
Bluetooth-enabled mobile handset
and/or a computer. After you complete
pairing procedure, the Headset is ready
to make and receive calls, as well as
play music.
Pairing to your mobile handset
1. Place the Detachable Headset and
the mobile handset no more than
3 feet (1 meter) apart. Note: Be sure
there is nothing between them.
2. Ensure the Detachable Headset is
turned off.
3. Press and hold the button until
the red and blue indicator lights
flash alternately.
4. Release the button. The Headset is
now in pairing mode.
5. Activate your mobile handset’s
Bluetooth function (Consult your
mobile handset user guide for
details.)
6. Set the mobile handset to search for
the Bluetooth device and select
“T515” from the list (Consult your
mobile handset user guide for
details.)
7. When prompted by the mobile
handset, enter the preprogrammed
default PIN code “0000.” (Note: If
you do not enter the PIN code, the
Headset exits pairing mode and you
hear a tone.)
Pairing to your
Bluetooth-enabled
computer
The procedure for pairing a Bluetooth-
enabled computer is similar to the one
for your mobile handset, but is subject
to your computer’s Bluetooth software
(Consult your computer user guide for
details.)
Handling Calls
Incoming Call
When you receive an incoming call,
press the button on the Detachable
Headset once to accept the incoming
call.
When you are listening to music and
receive an incoming call, the music
pauses automatically, and you can
answer or reject the call. When the call
ends, music resumes.

Second Incoming Call
When you receive a second incoming
call, press the button on the Headset
once to accept the incoming call and
put the current call on hold. Press the
button once to switch between callers.
Ending Calls
To end a call, press the button on
the Headset once.
You can also end the call using your
mobile handset in the normal way. You
hear a tone when the call ends.
Ring Tones
When there is an incoming call, the
mobile handset’s ring tone plays
through the Headset on the ear phones
or the Speaker System.
If the built-in ring tone is not
supported, the default ring sounds and
the blue indicator light flashes.
Rejecting Calls
Press the button once to reject an
incoming call during ringing.
You can also reject the call using your
mobile handset in the normal way. You
hear a tone when the call is rejected.
Dialing from Your Mobile Handset
Simply make calls on your mobile
handset in the normal way.
Voice-dialing from Your
Detachable Headset
If your mobile handset is equipped
with a voice-dialing function, press the
button on your Headset for 1 second,
and say the voice tag. You hear a tone
when the voice tag is registered. Press
the button to cancel the voice tag.
Note: Be sure to record voice tags into
the mobile handset before using voice-
dialing function.
Redialing the Last Number from Your
Detachable Headset
To redial the last number stored in your
mobile handset, press the button for
1 second. You hear a tone when the
number is redialed. Press the button
to cancel redialing.
Adjusting the
Volume of Your
Detachable Headset
Increasing the Volume
Press the button on the Headset to
increase the volume one step at a time.
When you reach maximum volume, you
hear a tone on the ear phones.
Decreasing the Volume
Press the button on the Headset to
decrease volume one step at a time.
When you reach the minimum volume,
you hear a tone on the ear phones.
Note: When the Headset is docked on
the Speaker System, the volume is set
to a pre-defined level, and the and
buttons on the Headset are
disabled.

Press the button on the Speaker
System to increase volume one step at
a time.

Muting the Detachable
Headset Microphone
To mute or un-mute the microphone
temporarily, press for 3 seconds.
A tone indicates the microphone is
muted.
Turning On/Off
the Buzzer
Press the and buttons for
1 second to enable the buzzer. A tone
indicates the buzzer is activated.
Press the and buttons for
1 second to disable the buzzer. A tone
indicates the buzzer is disabled.
Note: When the buzzer tone is on,
press or button for 1 second
to stop the buzzer temporarily.
Transferring Calls
To transfer a connected call from your
Headset to your mobile handset or vice
versa, press the button for 3 seconds.
A tone indicates the transfer has
begun.
Reconnecting After
Going Out of Range
If the Bluetooth link between the
Detachable Headset – whether it is
used with the speaker system or with
the headphones – and your Mobile
Handset is broken, follow these steps
to re-establish it:
1. Press the button.
2. Press the button for 3 seconds.
This will transfer the audio from the
Mobile Handset back to the
Headset/Speaker System.
Note: If you were on a call when the
link between your Headset and your
Mobile Handset was lost, the call will
automatically transfer to your Mobile
Handset.
Listening to Music
from the
Speaker System
To listen to music from the Speaker
System, turn it on and put the
Detachable Headset into it.
Using the Speaker
System with other
Audio Sources
The Line In Jack for other audio sources
is located on the back of the Speaker
System. Use it to connect any audio
source that has a stereo 3.5 mm plug
(i.e., headphone-style plug.)
Caution: Make sure the audio source
features a line-out jack. This ensures
that the output is not amplified. Check
the owner’s manual for your audio
device for more information.
Troubleshooting
If you cannot solve the problem with
this manual, try switching your
Detachable Headset and your mobile
handset off and on again.

polarisés disposent de deux lames (une plus large
que l’autre). Les fiches de mise à la terre disposent

prise électrique, consultez un électricien afin de
remplacer la prise obsolète.
11. Faites-en sorte que le cordon d’alimentation ne
puisse être piétiné ou plié, notamment aux points
d’entrée et de sortie des fiches et des prises.
12. N’installez pas l’appareil dans une zone où l’accès à
la fiche d’alimentation n’est pas garanti. Le
débranchement de la fiche d’alimentation est la
seule manière de mettre le produit complètement
hors tension. Vous devez pouvoir accéder facilement
à la fiche à tout moment.

Lansing garantit que ses produits sont dépourvus de
défauts au niveau des matériaux ou de la main d’oeuvre,
à l’exception des conditions détaillées ci-dessous.
Quelle est la durée de la garantie ? Pour les appareils
achetés en Union européenne ou en Asie, cette garantie
est valable pendant deux ans à compter de la date
d’achat. Pour les appareils non achetés en Union
européenne ou en Asie, cette garantie est valable
pendant un an à compter de la date d’achat. Les
conditions des garanties légales implicites prennent fin à
l’issue de la période de validité de la garantie limitée.
Certains états et/ou états membres de l’Union
européenne n’acceptent pas les restrictions relatives à la
durée des garanties implicites. Il est donc possible que la
restriction susmentionnée ne s’applique pas à votre cas.
Quels éléments ne sont pas couverts par la garantie ?
Cette garantie ne couvre pas les défauts, mauvais
fonctionnements ou anomalies qui peuvent survenir à
l’aide des événements suivants : installation incorrecte,
utilisation incorrecte ou non-respect des instructions se
rapportant au produit, utilisation abusive ou utilisation
avec un équipement incorrect, inadapté ou défectueux
(pour obtenir des informations relatives à l’installation,
au fonctionnement et à l’utilisation du produit, consultez
le manuel fourni avec le produit). Si vous avez besoin
d’un manuel de remplacement, vous pouvez télécharger
un manuel sous www.alteclansing.com. En outre, les
dommages consécutifs ou secondaires ne sont pas pris en
charge par cette garantie. Certains états n’autorisent pas
l’exclusion ou la restriction des dommages consécutifs ou
secondaires, il est donc possible que l’exclusion ou la
restriction susmentionnée ne s’applique pas à votre cas.
Que fera Altec Lansing pour corriger le problème ? Altec
Lansing réparera ou remplacera, à sa discrétion, les
produits qui s’avèrent défectueux au niveau des
matériaux ou de la main d’oeuvre. Si votre produit n’est
plus fabriqué ou n’est plus disponible en stock, Altec
Lansing remplacera à sa discrétion votre produit par un
produit Altec Lansing similaire ou de meilleure qualité.
Comment obtenir un service de garantie : pour obtenir la
réparation ou le remplacement d’un produit sous
garantie, vous devez contacter Altec Lansing par courrier
électronique ([email protected]) au cours de la
période de garantie. Le courrier électronique doit inclure
votre nom, votre adresse, votre adresse électronique,
votre numéro de téléphone, la date d’achat ainsi qu’une
description détaillée du problème rencontré. Aux Etats-
Unis, vous pouvez également contacter Altec Lansing par
téléphone au 1-800-ALTEC88 — soyez prêt à fournir les
mêmes informations. Si le problème s’avère lié à une
anomalie au niveau des matériaux ou de la main
d’oeuvre, Altec Lansing vous enverra une autorisation de
retour et des instructions relatives au retour du produit.
Le retour du produit s’effectue aux frais du client et le
retour doit être accompagné de la preuve originale
d’achat. Vous devez assurer l’expédition de manière
adaptée : vous êtes en effet responsable du produit
jusqu’à ce qu’il parvienne à Altec Lansing.

droits ? Cette garantie vous accorde des droits légaux

Le système d’enceintes/casque Bluetooth Altec Lansing T515 est intégré à votre
téléphone portable et muni d’un micro/haut-parleur. Il s’agit également d’un
système stéréo portatif équipé d’un casque et d’un micro. Vous pouvez écouter de

Chargement du
casque amovible
Pour charger le casque amovible T515 à
l’aide de votre ordinateur, connectez
celui-ci à votre ordinateur en utilisant
le câble de chargement USB. Le voyant
rouge s’allume. Lorsque la pile est
complètement chargée, le voyant
rouge s’éteint.
Pour charger le casque amovible T515
dans le système d’enceintes mobile
T515, connectez celui-ci à une prise
murale en utilisant le bloc
d’alimentation fourni.
Remarque : Une fois le casque chargé,
retirez celui-ci afin d’éviter d’user les
piles du système d’enceintes.
Le chargement de la pile rechargeable
du casque nécessite environ trois
heures. Le voyant rouge s’éteint
automatiquement une fois la pile
complètement chargée. Si le casque
amovible n’a pas été utilisé depuis
longtemps ou si la pile rechargeable est
usée, le chargement peut nécessiter
quelques minutes supplémentaires.
Remarque : Une fois le casque chargé,
retirez celui-ci afin d’éviter d’user la
pile du système d’enceintes.
Autonomie
conversation/veille
La pile rechargeable complètement
chargée offre jusqu’à 7 heures
d’utilisation et jusqu’à 20 heures
de veille.
Avec quatre piles AAA (LR 03), le système
d’enceintes peut offrir jusqu’à 9 heures
d’utilisation et 13 heures de veille.
Remarque : Si aucun appel n’est en
cours, le casque reste en mode veille.
Pile rechargeable faible
Lorsque le casque est sous tension et
qu’il détecte une faible tension, le
voyant rouge clignote toutes les 3
secondes.

Pour mettre sous tension le casque
lorsque celui-ci n’est pas connecté au
système d’enceintes, appuyez et
maintenez le bouton enfoncé
pendant 2 secondes. Le voyant bleu
clignote 3 fois et une tonalité est émise
dans le casque.
Pour mettre le casque hors tension,
appuyez et maintenez le bouton
enfoncé pendant 3 secondes. Le voyant
rouge clignote 3 fois et une tonalité est
émise dans le casque.
Remarque : Lorsqu’il est connecté, le
casque se met automatiquement sous
tension si le système d’enceintes est
déjà sous tension. En outre, un casque
connecté se met automatiquement
sous/hors tension si le système
d’enceintes est sous/hors tension.

sur le bouton situé sur le casque
lorsque vous écoutez de la musique
depuis un téléphone portable
Bluetooth tandis que le casque est
connecté au système d’enceintes.
Adaptation de votre
casque amovible
Avant d’utiliser votre casque pour la
première fois, vous devez coupler celui-
ci avec un ordinateur/téléphone
portable compatible Bluetooth. Une
fois la procédure de couplage exécutée,
le casque est prêt à effectuer et à
recevoir des appels ainsi qu’à écouter
de la musique.
Couplage avec votre téléphone

1. Placez le casque amovible et le
téléphone portable à une distance
inférieure à 1 mètre l’un de l’autre.
Remarque : Vérifiez que rien n’est
interposé entre eux.
2. Vérifiez que le casque amovible est
hors tension.
3. Appuyez et maintenez le bouton
enfoncé jusqu’à ce que les voyants
rouge et bleu clignotent
alternativement.
4. Relâchez le bouton . Le
casque est désormais en mode
couplage.
5. Activez la fonction Bluetooth de
votre téléphone portable (consultez
le guide d’utilisation de votre
téléphone portable pour toute
information complémentaire).
6. Configurez le téléphone portable de
sorte à rechercher le dispositif
Bluetooth et sélectionnez « T515 »
dans la liste (consultez le guide

7. À l’invite du téléphone portable,
saisissez le code PIN par défaut
préprogrammé « 0000 ». (Remarque :
Si vous ne saisissez pas le code PIN, le
casque quitte le mode couplage et
une tonalité est émise.)

Gestion des appels
Appel entrant
Lorsque vous recevez un appel entrant,
appuyez sur le bouton situé sur le
casque amovible une fois pour accepter
l’appel entrant.
Lorsque vous écoutez de la musique et
que vous recevez un appel entrant, la
lecture de la musique est automatique-
ment interrompue et vous pouvez
répondre ou rejeter l’appel. Lorsque
l’appel est terminé, la musique
reprend.
