1.Introduction
Congratulations! You have purchased the Nu-View1024 TV Tuner Box to
enhance your multimedia PC. We will guide you through all of the features,
installation and operation. This manual will help you use the many exciting and useful
features to make your TV viewing more enjoyable than ever before.

2-1.Installing Stand
2-2.Installing Batteries
1. Place the Remote Control with the face down. Press down on the ridged area of the
battery cover and slide it off.
2. Place two “AAA” size batteries, matching the + and – sign on each battery to the +
and – sign of the battery compartment. Then, place the battery cover until the lock.
Notes
! Aim the Remote Control directly at the Nu-View from a distance of no more than
7m and the wider the angle within 90, and be sure there is no obstruction between
the Remote Control and Nu-View.
! If the unit does not operate properly, the batteries might be exhausted. Replace
them with new ones.
! To avoid damage from possible batteries leakage, remove the batteries if you do
not use for a long time.

You can use either an indoor or outdoor antenna to VHF and/or UHF channels.
You can receive Cable TV by connecting a cable supplied by your local cable
company.

3.Operation
3-1. Selecting Input Source
1. Press Power button to turn on the Nu-View.
2. When you press Source button, the TV/CATV,AV,S-Video, and PC input source
will be automatically changed by loop as Figure.3-1.

3-2. Programming Channel Memory
TV/CableTVfunction
1. Press Power button to turn on the Nu-View. If power has been turned on, press
Source button to select TV mode. (Ref. 3-1. Selecting Input Source)
2. Each time you press TV/CATV button, TV or Cable TV mode will be selected in
order. If you selected Cable TV, you press System button each time, the STD, HRC,
IRC mode will be selected in order.
ChannelProgramfunction
1. Press Scan button to start channel programming. The TV will automatically cycle
through all the TV or Cable TV channels depending on the mode selected, and
store active channels in the channel memory.
2. When channel programming is complete, press CH▲or ▼button to make sure
the channel programming has been done properly.
Add/Erasefunction
1. Select the channel you want to erase using the CH▲or ▼button, or select the
channel you want to add using the Channel Number button.
2. Press DEL or INS:
! To erase the channel: Press DEL button indicating that the channel has been
erased from the memory.
! To add the channel: Press INS button indicating that the channel has been
memorized.

3-3. Watching TV Programs
1. Press Power button to turn on the Nu-View. If power has been turned on, press
Source button to select TV mode.
2. Select a channel in one of the following two ways.
! To scan the memorized channels in numerical sequence
Press CH
▲
to select the next higher channel.
Press CH
▼
to select the next lower channel.
! To select a channel directly
Press the Channel Number buttons (0-9, 100)
Example: To select channel 7, press “7”.
To select channel 12, press “1” , “2”.
To select channel 120, press “100”, “2”, “0”.
3. Press Vol + /- to adjust the volume.
To increase the volume, press +.
To decrease the volume, press -.
WatchingVideoInput
The Source button is used to view the signals coming from other devices like
VCD/DVD Players to display. Ref.3-1. Selecting Input Source.
Note:
The Vol+/- button on the Function key function as the adjust button while any of the
Function displays (Brightness, Contrast, Color, V-Shift, H-Shift) are on the screen.

3-4. Convenient Remote Functions
To display on-screen information
! On AV mode: Press OSD button to display the AV on-screen .
! On S-Video mode: Press OSD button to display the S-Video on-screen .
! On TV mode: Press OSD button to display the Channel number, System, MTS,
Volume on-screen information.
!
To mute the sound
Press Mute button to mute the sound. The word “MUTE” will be displayed on
the screen. To restore the sound, press Mute button again, and the “MUTE” will
disappear.
To change quickly between two channel
1. Select the first channel you want to view.
2. Select the other channel with the Channel Number buttons or CH▲, CH▼.
3. Press Recall button. The previous channel will return.
Each time you press Recall button, the TV will switch back and forth between
the two channel.

3-5. Selecting Stereo/SAP Broadcasts
The MTS(Multi-channel TV Sound) feature allows you to improve your TV viewing
with high fidelity stereo sound. MTS also provides for an extra channel, SAP(Second
Audio Program), used to transmit a second language or other audio information.
To use MTS function
When you press MTS button, the Stereo, SAP, Dual, Mono mode will be
automatically changed by loop as Figure.3-5.
“MTS” does not function in Video mode (AV mode, S-Video mode).

3-6. Adjusting the Picture
You can adjust the picture quality(Brightness, Contrast, Color, V-Shift, H-Shift) to
suit your taste.
To adjust the picture quality
1. When you press Function button, Brightness, Contrast, Color, V-Shift, H-Shift
mode will be automatically changed by loop as Figure.3-6.
2. Press Vol+ or Vol- button to adjust the level.
Example: Brightness adjustment mode display.
