0.5mawayfromthestoveinan
uprightposition.(Fig. 8)
• OnlyuseLPGgas.
• Forsafetyreasons,thecontrol
/ignitionknobsaredesigned
tooperateinanti-clockwise
rotation.
• Intheeventofaburnback(i.e.wherethegasburnsback
ontothejet),turnoffthestoveandlightagain.Shouldthe
problempersist,taketheunitbacktoyourdealertobe
checked.
• Turnthestoveoffattheswitchcontrols
• Disconnecttheregulatorandwaitforthestovetocool
down(±30minutes)
• Ifonrelighting,theproblemreoccurs,gettheunit
checkedbyanauthorisedservicedealer
• Alwayscheckthatthedirectcouplingsealisinplaceandin
goodcondition.Alwaysensurethatthehosedoesnotshow
anysignsofwear.Ifindoubtpleaseconsultyourdealer.
SETTING UP YOUR COOKER
1. Conrmthatyouhavetherightmodelforyourtypeofgas
supply.
2. Whenunpacking,makesurethatallofthepartsofthegas
cookerareincluded.
3. Attachthehoseendconnector
totheapplianceinletby
 fasteningontotheconnection
pointandturningclockwiseby
handtillconnectionfastandis
gastight.(Fig.9)
5. EnsurethattheburnercontrolvalvesareOFFbyturning
theknobsfullyclockwisetotheOFFposition.
6. Checkthatthedirectcouplingsealisinplaceandingood
conditiononthe3/8”highpressurecylinderconnector.

7. Attachthehighpressurecylinderconnectortothegasvalve
outlet.Handfasteninaclockwisedirectiontoensureagas
tightseal.
8. PerformtheLEAKTEST.

FITTING AND CHANGING THE GAS CYLINDER
1. Beforeconnectingtheappliancetoagascylinder,
alwaysensurethattherubbersealontheHighPressure
CylinderConnectionisinpositionandingoodcondition,
andblowoutanydustfromthecylinderopeningtoprevent
possibleblockageofthejet.
2. Ensurethatthegascylinderisttedorchangedina
well-ventilatedlocation,preferablyoutdoors,awayfromany
sourceofignition,suchasnakedamesandawayfrom
otherpeople.
3. Makesurethatthegascylinderiskeptuprightatalltimes,
screwthetankadaptorontothecylinderuntilitisfullyen-
gaged.Hand-tightenonly.
4. Neverstorethecylinderonastovesurface.Itisbest
practicetostoreitontheoorinapositionwheritcannotbe
tamperedwith.
5. Ifthereisaleakonyourappliance(smellofgas),takeit
outsideimmediatelyintoawell-ventilatedamefreelocation
wheretheleakmaybedetectedandstopped.
6. Whenremovingagascylinder(e.g.tochangecylinders),
rstlyclosethecylindervalveandthentheappliancevalve,
makingsuretheameisextinguished,beforeunscrewing
thetankadaptor.Re-ttheHighPressureCylinder
 Connectiontoafullcylinderfollowingthesameprecautions
asabove.
FOR YOUR SAFETY

• Turn off the gas
supply at the
bottle.
• Extinguish all
nakedames.
DO NOT operate
any electrical
appliances.
• Ventilate the
area.
• Check for leaks
(see LEAK TEST)
• If odour per-
sists, contact
your dealer or
local gas supplier
immediately.
Any LP Gas cylinder
not connected for use
must not be stored in
the vicinity of this or
any other appliance.

Theleaktestmustbecarriedoutinawell-ventilatedarea,free
fromanyamesorothersourcesofignition.
• Withthecylinderconnectedto
thestove.Openthecylinder
valve.
• Brushtheconnections(stove
tocylinder)withasolutionof
equalpartssoapandwater
(makesureit’sfoamy).
• Astreamofbubblesforming
indicatesagasleak.(See
Fig.11)
• Ifbubblesappear,turnthe
cylindervalveOFF(clockwise)
anddisconnectthestovefrom
thegascylinder.
• Tightentheconnectionand
retrytheleaktest.
• Ifyouareunsureorifyou
cannottightentheconnection,
placethecylinderoutsideina
cool,well-ventilatedareaand
contactAlvaon086 100 ALVA
(2582).
• Aleakbetweenthestoveand
cylindercanleadtoahigh
pressurere,whichisvery
dangerousandcanresultin
extensiveinjuryorevendeath.
USING THE COOKER
1. Tolighttheburners:
• Openthecylindervalve
1½turns.(SeeFig.12)
• Igniteyouramesource
andholditabovethe
burners.
• Openthemaingasvalve.
(Fig. 12)
• Toignitethesecond
burnerrepeatthesame
process.
• Toadjusttheamesize,makeslightadjustmentsto
thesettingofthecontrolknob.
2. Toturntheburnersoff:
 TurnthegascontrolknobsbacktotheOFFposition.
Makesuretheburnersareoutandturnoffthemaingas
cylindervalveaswell.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• Beforecaringfor,orcleaningyourcooker,makesurethat
themaingasvalveisinan“OFForclosed”position,andthe
stovecontrolknobsareinthe“OFF”position.Ifthestoveis
stillhot,waitforittocooldownbeforecleaning.
• Ensurethattherearenosignsofblockage(eg.debris,
insects,etc)ineithertheburnerportholes,theprimaryair
inletortheneckoftheburners.Usecompressedairorpipe
cleanerwiretoclearobstructions.Brushtheburnersurfaces
afterwardslightlywithcookingoiltopreventtheformationof
rustwhilestoring.
WERECOMMENDTHATTHISSHOULDBEDONEAFTER
EVERYCOOKINGSESSIONINCOASTALAREAS.
Takingcareofyourstovewillprolongitslifespan.
• Checkthegashoseregularlyforwearorleaks.Itmustbe
replacedoccasionally.Keepitawayfromheatsourcesand
keepitclean.
• Toclean,usesoapywaterandthendrythoroughlywitha
drycloth.
• Washthepotstandinwateranddrythoroughlybefore
replacing.
• Forbetterserviceandalongerservicelife,keepthegas
cookercleanandstoreitinadryplace.
• Alwaysdisconnectthecookerwhenitwillnotbeusedforan
extendedperiodoftime.
DO NOT use pots
that are larger or over
hang the body of this
cooker.
DO NOT use steel
based products or
brushes
DO NOT use pot
scourers or abrasive
cleaning
products on this
cooker as these will
permanently
mark the cooker.
