• Placethegascylinderatleast
0.5mawayfromthestoveinan
uprightposition.(Fig. 8)
• OnlyuseLPGgas.
• Forsafetyreasons,thecontrol
/ignitionknobsaredesigned
tooperateinanti-clockwise
rotation.
• Intheeventofaburnback(i.e.wherethegasburnsback
ontothejet),turnoffthestoveandlightagain.Shouldthe
problempersist,taketheunitbacktoyourdealertobe
checked.
• Turnthestoveoffattheswitchcontrols
• Disconnecttheregulatorandwaitforthestovetocool
down(±30minutes)
• Ifonrelighting,theproblemreoccurs,gettheunit
checkedbyanauthorisedservicedealer
• Alwayscheckthatthedirectcouplingsealisinplaceandin
goodcondition.Alwaysensurethatthehosedoesnotshow
anysignsofwear.Ifindoubtpleaseconsultyourdealer.
SETTING UP YOUR COOKER
1. Conrmthatyouhavetherightmodelforyourtypeofgas
supply.
2. Whenunpacking,makesurethatallofthepartsofthegas
cookerareincluded.
3. Attachthehoseendconnector
totheapplianceinletby
fasteningontotheconnection
pointandturningclockwiseby
handtillconnectionfastandis
gastight.(Fig.9)
5. EnsurethattheburnercontrolvalvesareOFFbyturning
theknobsfullyclockwisetotheOFFposition.
6. Checkthatthedirectcouplingsealisinplaceandingood
conditiononthe3/8”highpressurecylinderconnector.

7. Attachthehighpressurecylinderconnectortothegasvalve
outlet.Handfasteninaclockwisedirectiontoensureagas
tightseal.
8. PerformtheLEAKTEST.

FITTING AND CHANGING THE GAS CYLINDER
1. Beforeconnectingtheappliancetoagascylinder,
alwaysensurethattherubbersealontheHighPressure
CylinderConnectionisinpositionandingoodcondition,
andblowoutanydustfromthecylinderopeningtoprevent
possibleblockageofthejet.
2. Ensurethatthegascylinderisttedorchangedina
well-ventilatedlocation,preferablyoutdoors,awayfromany
sourceofignition,suchasnakedamesandawayfrom
otherpeople.
3. Makesurethatthegascylinderiskeptuprightatalltimes,
screwthetankadaptorontothecylinderuntilitisfullyen-
gaged.Hand-tightenonly.
4. Neverstorethecylinderonastovesurface.Itisbest
practicetostoreitontheoorinapositionwheritcannotbe
tamperedwith.
5. Ifthereisaleakonyourappliance(smellofgas),takeit
outsideimmediatelyintoawell-ventilatedamefreelocation
wheretheleakmaybedetectedandstopped.
6. Whenremovingagascylinder(e.g.tochangecylinders),
rstlyclosethecylindervalveandthentheappliancevalve,
makingsuretheameisextinguished,beforeunscrewing
thetankadaptor.Re-ttheHighPressureCylinder
Connectiontoafullcylinderfollowingthesameprecautions
asabove.
FOR YOUR SAFETY
IF YOU SMELL GAS
• Turn off the gas
supply at the
bottle.
• Extinguish all
nakedames.
DO NOT operate
any electrical
appliances.
• Ventilate the
area.
• Check for leaks
(see LEAK TEST)
• If odour per-
sists, contact
your dealer or
local gas supplier
immediately.
Any LP Gas cylinder
not connected for use
must not be stored in
the vicinity of this or
any other appliance.

fromanyamesorothersourcesofignition.
• Withthecylinderconnectedto
thestove.Openthecylinder
valve.
• Brushtheconnections(stove
tocylinder)withasolutionof
equalpartssoapandwater
(makesureit’sfoamy).
• Astreamofbubblesforming
indicatesagasleak.(See
Fig.11)
• Ifbubblesappear,turnthe
cylindervalveOFF(clockwise)
anddisconnectthestovefrom
thegascylinder.
• Tightentheconnectionand
retrytheleaktest.
• Ifyouareunsureorifyou
cannottightentheconnection,
placethecylinderoutsideina
cool,well-ventilatedareaand
contactAlvaon086 100 ALVA
(2582).
• Aleakbetweenthestoveand
cylindercanleadtoahigh
pressurere,whichisvery
dangerousandcanresultin
extensiveinjuryorevendeath.
USING THE COOKER
1. Tolighttheburners:
• Openthecylindervalve
1½turns.(SeeFig.12)
• Igniteyouramesource
andholditabovethe
burners.
• Openthemaingasvalve.
(Fig. 12)
• Toignitethesecond
burnerrepeatthesame
process.
• Toadjusttheamesize,makeslightadjustmentsto
thesettingofthecontrolknob.
2. Toturntheburnersoff:
TurnthegascontrolknobsbacktotheOFFposition.
Makesuretheburnersareoutandturnoffthemaingas
cylindervalveaswell.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• Beforecaringfor,orcleaningyourcooker,makesurethat
themaingasvalveisinan“OFForclosed”position,andthe
stovecontrolknobsareinthe“OFF”position.Ifthestoveis
stillhot,waitforittocooldownbeforecleaning.
• Ensurethattherearenosignsofblockage(eg.debris,
insects,etc)ineithertheburnerportholes,theprimaryair
inletortheneckoftheburners.Usecompressedairorpipe
cleanerwiretoclearobstructions.Brushtheburnersurfaces
afterwardslightlywithcookingoiltopreventtheformationof
rustwhilestoring.
WERECOMMENDTHATTHISSHOULDBEDONEAFTER
EVERYCOOKINGSESSIONINCOASTALAREAS.
Takingcareofyourstovewillprolongitslifespan.
• Checkthegashoseregularlyforwearorleaks.Itmustbe
replacedoccasionally.Keepitawayfromheatsourcesand
keepitclean.
• Toclean,usesoapywaterandthendrythoroughlywitha
drycloth.
• Washthepotstandinwateranddrythoroughlybefore
replacing.
• Forbetterserviceandalongerservicelife,keepthegas
cookercleanandstoreitinadryplace.
• Alwaysdisconnectthecookerwhenitwillnotbeusedforan
extendedperiodoftime.
DO NOT use pots
that are larger or over
hang the body of this
cooker.
DO NOT use steel
based products or
brushes
DO NOT use pot
scourers or abrasive
cleaning
products on this
cooker as these will
permanently
mark the cooker.
