Safety instructions
WARNING: Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The
warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot
cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood
by the operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be
built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator. Do not abuse the
power cord. Never carry the Sous Vide by the power cord or pull the power cord
to disconnect the outlet plug from an outlet; instead grasp the outlet plug and pull
to disconnect.
CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal
injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care
is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution
is necessary. Also, the cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125V,
and at least 13 A., 1625 W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not
drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over accidentally.
3 PRONG PLUG
NOTE: This item comes equipped with a 3-prong plug. It is recommended that you
only plug this into an outlet that accepts the 3 prongs and that you do not try to
defeat this feature as it is an important safety feature that protects you from

How to use
1. Always set your Sous Vide on a level and stable, heat resistant surface.
2. Clamp the Sous Vide on the pot or food grade container. Fill with water. Make
sure the water level does not exceed the MAX line or fall below the MIN line. The
Sous Vide will not power on without water.
3. Do not place the pot or food grade container on a heat surface as this item does
not require an additional heat source.
4. Plug the Sous Vide into a wall outlet. When plugged in the power indicator light
will flash indicating it is in STAND BY MODE. The Sous Vide will show the CURRENT
TEMPERATURE of the water. The set temperature defaults to 140 degrees. The
power button needs to be pressed while in STAND BY MODE or the Sous Vide will
turn off after 20 seconds. All lights will illuminate indicating it is ready to be
programmed.
5. Pressing the +/- buttons, set your desired temperature.
6. Place uncooked food in re-sealable food grade bag. Keep the bag slightly open
when immersing in water to allow all the air to be removed. Once all air is
removed, seal the bag completely.
7. Vacuum sealed food may also be used.
8. Once the CURRENT TEMPERATURE displays the same value as the SET
TEMPERATURE, the desired temperature has been achieved.
9. For optimal cooking results, use a clamp to fasten the sealed bag to the inside of
the pot or food grade container to keep the bag from moving around in the
water.
10. After the cooking is complete, use tongs to grab items from within the hot water.

User instructions
10
NOTE: The Sous Vide has a water inlet and outlet located on the bottom of the
heating element. Water flowing out of the unit may be hotter than the rest of the
pot and if the food comes into direct contact with this stream of water it may
affect the desired cooking results. For optimal cooking results and to ensure the
food does not come in contact with the water flow, we recommend securing the
bag to the side of the pot that is opposite the Sous Vide.
CAUTION: The water will get hot. Use extreme caution when moving containers
of hot liquid. We recommend placing a trivet under the pot when the water is hot
in order to protect the countertop.
To set the timer:
1. Press the SET button once to set the hours, press the set button twice to set
the minutes. Use the “+” and/or “- “button to add or subtract time. Once
desired time is selected, hit the SET button and the timer will start.
2. The control panel will toggle back and forth showing set temperature and
time remaining.
NOTE: The TIMER will only begin counting down once the CURRENT
TEMPERATURE is the same as the SET TEMPERATURE.
WARNING: Never carry the Sous Vide by the heating element, power cord or
handle. Extreme caution must be used when moving hot liquids.
CAUTION: This unit becomes very hot and extreme caution should be used
during and after cooking and until it has cooled completely, after unplugging the
Sous Vide from the wall outlet.

Helpful hints

Helpful hints
Searing is recommended when cooking meat, fish or poultry after cooking
time is completed. Remove the food from the bag and sear by using a pan,
broiler or grill. Searing the food will give it color and texture, and will lock in
the flavors.
All food items must be placed in a re-sealable food grade bag and not placed
directly in the water with the Sous Vide.
Food that is vacuum sealed may be used.
Do not pre-heat any food items.
Do not allow the Sous Vide to stand in sitting water when not in use.
Do not power on the Sous Vide when the pot has no water.
The Sous Vide must be in a pot where the water level is between the MIN and
MAX lines for best result.
Do not use frozen meat or poultry unless it is thoroughly thawed out first.
Many things can affect how quickly a recipe will cook, such as fat content,
initial temperature of the food and the size of the food.
Pieces of food cut into small pieces will cook quicker. A degree of ‘trial and
error’ will be required to fully optimize the potential of your Sous Vide.
After food is cooked, turn the Sous Vide off and unplug.
Troubleshooting
The Sous Vide will not
power on
Make sure that the product is properly plugged
into a working outlet.
Check the power cord for any damage.
Make sure product is submerged in water
between the MIN and MAX line.
The Sous Vide makes a
constant beeping
sound and the display
is not working.
Make sure the product is submerged in water
between the “MIN”and “MAX”line. To reset
press the power indicator symbol and all lights
are illuminated on the control panel.
