ASSEMBLY
1. Unpack the Rice Cooker from the box. NOTE: The lid is packed upside down.
2. Wipe clean all the parts with a soft damp cloth or sponge and warm water.
Rinse and dry thoroughly. DO NOT IMMERSE THE RICE COOKER BASE IN
WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
3. Using a damp cloth or sponge, wipe the motor base.
DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE MATERIAL TO CLEAN THE SURFACE
DO NOT IMMERSE THE BLENDER BASE INTO WATER AT ANY TIME

GENERAL INFORMATION
When using the 16 Cup Rice Cooker, basic safety precautions should be observed.
PLEASE READ AND SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE 16 CUP
RICE COOKER.
1. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. The
Rice Cooker is not intended for use by children.
2. For indoor household use only.
3. Unplug the Rice Cooker from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
4. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or Rice Cooker
base in water or any other liquid.
5. Do not operate the Rice Cooker with a damaged cord or plug, or if the Rice
Cooker malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the Rice
Cooker to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or
refund.
6. Never use accessories which are not recommended by the manufacturer. They
could constitute a danger to the user and risk damage to the Rice Cooker.
7. Never move the Rice Cooker by pulling the cord. DO NOT let the electrical cord
hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
8. Place the Rice Cooker on a flat, level, stable, heat resistant surface when
using.
9. Do not place the Rice Cooker on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a
heated oven.
10. Do not use the Rice Cooker with a damaged outlet.
11. Make sure hands are dry when plugging in and unplugging the Rice Cooker.
12. Do not use this Rice Cooker for other than intended use.
13. This Rice Cooker is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
the use of the Rice Cooker by a person responsible for their safety.
14. It is not necessary to preheat the appliance.
15. DO NOT allow any liquid to drip into the base of the Rice Cooker.
16. The Rice Cooker and its accessories may become hot. It is recommended to
use hot pads or oven mitts when removing the lid, steamer insert or rice pot.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The
warnings, cautions, and instruction discussed in this instruction manual cannot
cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood
by the operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built
into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal
injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is
exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is
necessary. Also the cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125V, and
at least 13 A., 1625 W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape
over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped
over accidentally.
POLARIZED PLUG
NOTE: This Rice Cooker has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit
in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
ELECTRIC POWER
If electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliances may not
operate properly. The appliances should be operated on a separate electrical circuit
from other operating appliances.
SAFETY WARNING
Although your Rice Cooker is easy to operate, for your safety, the warnings below
must be followed:
1. Do not place the Rice Cooker near a heat source.
2. Never leave the Rice Cooker unattended while connected to the electrical
outlet.
3. Use the Rice Cooker on a stable work surface away from water.
4. Do not unplug from the wall socket by pulling on the supply cord.
5. The Rice Cooker must be unplugged:
A. After each use.
B. If it appears to be faulty.
C. Before cleaning or maintenance.

USER INSTRUCTIONS
Before First Use
Wash all pieces, except base unit, in warm soapy water, rinse, and dry
thoroughly before first use.
Do NOT immerse base in water or any other liquid.
How to Cook Rice
1. Place the measured rice to the pot and distribute it evenly.
2. Fill the pot to the appropriate measuring line with water using the
measurements marked inside the pot.
3. Place the pot into the base of the Rice Cooker and cover with lid.
4. Plug the Rice Cooker into an outlet. The ‘Warm’ indicator light will
automatically turn on. This starts the heating function.
5. To start cooking the rice, press the white button down and the ‘Cook’ indicator
light will turn on. NOTE: When the ‘Warm’ indicator light is on, the cooker is
automatically kept within a range of 140°F-176°F (60°C-80°C).
6. When the rice is finished cooking, the white button will automatically release
and the ‘Cook’ indicator light will turn off. The ‘Warm’ indicator light will stay
on to keep the rice warm before serving. NOTE: Allow the rice to rest on
‘Warm’ at least 15 minutes before serving.
7. When removing lid from cooker, lift the lid away from your body to avoid injury
due to hot steam.
8. Unplug the Rice Cooker when not in use.

Broth can be substituted for water. Sauces may be added to the rice after it is
cooked.
HOW TO STEAM
1. Pour water into pot and place pot into the base of the Rice Cooker.
2. Place steamer insert with desired vegetables into pot and cover with lid.
3. Plug the Rice Cooker into an outlet. The ‘Warm’ indicator light will
automatically turn on. This starts the heating function.
4. To start steaming the vegetables, press the white button down and the ‘Cook’
indicator light will turn on.
5. NOTE: Although this rice cooker can steam vegetables, it does not have a
separate steam setting. When steaming, it is important to check vegetables
during steaming times as the white cook button may not release by the time
the vegetables are done.
6. When the vegetable have reached the desired tenderness, you must remove
the steamer insert from the rice cooker or it will continue to cook.
7. When removing lid from cooker, lift the lid away from your body to avoid injury
due to hot steam.
8. Unplug the Rice Cooker when not in use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the Rice Cooker is unplugged and completely cooled before
cleaning or attempting to store the item. NEVER IMMERSE base in water or any
other liquid.
It is important to clean your Rice Cooker thoroughly after each use to prevent
sticky build ups that are difficult to clean later. Proper cleaning of the Rice Cooker
can lead to a cleaner, better tasting food.
1. Remove the lid, steamer and pot.
2. Wash the lid, steamer, pot, measuring cup and spoon in warm soapy water.
Rinse, and dry thoroughly before storing.
3. Wipe the base with a damp cloth, sponge, or paper towel. Do NOT immerse
the base or run water over the base unit. Dry the surfaces with a soft cloth or
paper towel before storing.
4. Do not use abrasive cleaners on any part of the Rice Cooker.

INFORMACIÓN GENERAL
Al utilizar la olla arrocera de 16 tazas, se deben tomar precauciones básicas de
seguridad. POR FAVOR, LEA Y GUARDE TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES
ANTES DE UTILIZAR LA OLLA ARROCERA DE 16 TAZAS.
1. Es necesaria una atenta supervisión cuando el aparato se usa cerca de los
niños. La olla arrocera no está diseñada para ser usada por niños.
2. Para uso doméstico en interiores solamente.
3. Desenchufe la olla arrocera cuando no esté en uso y antes de limpiarla.
4. Para protegerse contra descargas eléctricas, no sumerja el cable, el enchufe o
la base de la olla arrocera en agua ni en ningún otro líquido.
5. No utilice la olla arrocera con un cable o enchufe dañado, si ha sufrido una

PRECAUCIÓN: Se proporciona un cable eléctrico corto para reducir el riesgo de lesiones

MODO DE EMPLEO
Antes del primer uso
Lave todas las piezas, excepto la unidad base, en agua tibia jabonosa, y
enjuáguelas y séquelas completamente antes del primer uso.
NO sumerja la base en agua o cualquier otro líquido.
Instrucciones para cocinar arroz
1. Ponga la cantidad medida de arroz en la olla y distribúyalo uniformemente.
2. Llene la olla con agua hasta la línea de medida apropiada utilizando las
medidas indicadas en el interior de la olla.
3. Ponga la olla en la base de la arrocera y cúbrala con la tapa.
4. Enchufe la olla arrocera en un tomacorriente. La luz indicadora ‘WARM’
(CALIENTE) se encenderá automáticamente. Esto inicia la función de
calentamiento.
5. Para comenzar a cocinar el arroz, oprima el botón blanco; la luz indicadora
‘COOK’ (COCINAR) se encenderá. NOTA: Cuando la luz indicadora ‘WARM’
(COCINAR) esté encendida, la arrocera se mantiene automáticamente a una
temperatura entre 140 °F y 176 °F (entre 60 °C y 80 °C).

CÓMO COCINAR AL VAPOR

un ajuste especial para cocinar al vapor. Al cocinar al vapor, es importante
comprobar la cocción de las verduras durante su preparación, ya que el botón
blanco podría no saltar antes de que estén listas.
6. Una vez que las verduras hayan alcanzado el punto de cocción deseado, saque
el accesorio para cocinar al vapor de la olla arrocera o de lo contrario seguirán
cociéndose.
7. Al quitar la tapa de la olla arrocera, levante primero el lado de la tapa opuesto

LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO
PRECAUCIÓN:
Asegúrese siempre de que la olla arrocera esté desenchufada y se haya enfriado
completamente antes de limpiarla o tratar de guardarla. NUNCA SUMERJA la base
en agua o cualquier otro líquido.
Es importante limpiar la olla arrocera a fondo después de cada uso para evitar
acumulaciones pegajosas que son difíciles de limpiar después. Una olla arrocera
limpia puede preparar alimentos más limpios y con mejor sabor.
1. Quite la tapa, el accesorio para cocinar al vapor y la olla.

cuchara con agua tibia y jabón. Enjuáguelos y séquelos completamente antes

Warranty conditions
Dear Customer,
The ALDI warranty offers you extensive benefits compared to the statutory
obligation arising from warranty:
Warranty period: 2 years from date of purchase.
6 months for wear parts and consumables under normal and
proper conditions of use (e.g. rechargeable batteries).
Costs: Free repair/exchange or refund.
No transport costs.
ADVICE: Please contact our service hotline by phone, e-mail or
fax before sending in the device. This allows us to
provide support in the event of possible operator errors.
In order to make a claim under the warranty, please send us:
together with the faulty item the original receipt and the warranty card
properly completed.
the faulty product with all components included in the pack aging.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
Accident or unanticipated events (e.g. lightning, water, fire).
Improper use or transport.
Disregard of the safety and maintenance instructions.
Other improper treatment or modification.
After the expiry of the warranty period, you still have the possibility to have your
product repaired at your own expense. If the repair or the estimate of costs is not free
of charge you will be informed accordingly in advance.
This warranty does not limit the statutory obligation of the seller arising from a
warranty. The period of warranty can only be extended in accordance with a legal
standard. In countries where a (compulsory) warranty and/or spare part storage
and/or a system for compensation are/is required by law, the statutory minimum
conditions apply. In the event that a product is received for repair, neither the service
company nor the seller will assume any liability for data or settings possibly stored on
the product by the customer.
