ALL OF THE BITS
IT’S PARTY TIME
BEFORE USING YOUR WAFFLE MAKER
Before using your waffle maker for the first
time, clean it with a soft, damp cloth and
dry thoroughly.
Lightly coat the cooking plates with a small
amount of vegetable oil, applied using either
an oil spray or a paper towel. The oil will help
to protect the quality of the cooking plates.
Note: During the first use, there may be a
slight odour or smoke emitted from the waffle
maker. The residues burning off the non-stick
cooking plates cause this. Allow the waffle
maker to preheat until the smoke and
odour cease.
MAKING YUMMY WAFFLES
Plug your waffle maker into the mains power
supply; the red indicator light will illuminate to
show that it is heating up.
Preheat your waffle maker for approximately
3–5 minutes.
When your waffle maker is ready to use, the
green ready light will turn off.
Open the lid carefully using heat-resistant oven
gloves and add prepared waffle batter to each
of the wells.
Don’t overfill your waffle moulds otherwise the
waffles will not raise.
Close the lid of you waffle maker and cook for
approximately 5–10 minutes.
Note: Steam may be emitted from your waffle
maker during cooking.
Open your waffle maker using heat-resistant
oven gloves and remove the waffles carefully,
as they will be hot.
When cooking more than one batch of waffles,
close the lid after removing each batch to
maintain the heat in your waffle maker.
It is normal for the baked waffles to appear
darker on the bottom than on the top. This is
due to the batter rising and the waffle’s contact
with the heating plates.
