Description of Operation
AP6356S is a 2X2 MIMO 802.11a/b/g/n/ac & BT 2.1+EDR、4.2 combo module from Broadcom Corporation.
This module is targeted to mobile device including, Digital Still Cameras (DSCs), Portable Media Players (PMPs),
and Gaming Devices, handheld wireless system, mobile phones which need small footprint package, low power
consumption.
BCM4356’spart is Bluetooth 2.1+EDR、4.2 LE compliant. Uses a radio technology called frequency-hopping
spread spectrum, which chops up the data being sent and transmits chunks of it on up to 79 bands (1 MHz each;
centered from 2402 to 2480 MHz). This range is in the globally unlicensed Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM)
2.4 GHz short-range radio frequency band.
The basic data rate of BCM4356 are 1、2、3 Mbps & LE 1Mbps. The power class is 1 and use “客戶使用”
antenna.
Bluetooth is used in a small area for wireless personal area network that operated in 2.4 GHz ISM Band. It
can be used to connect with mobile phone, modem, PDA, PC, handset, etc. The propagation range of Bluetooth
is about 10 meters that is easy to setup personal wireless area network.
Compliance with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standard. BCM4356 used in AP6356S supports 11 channels in

2400 ~ 2483.5 MHz ISM band. The channel bandwidth of 802.11n is 20MHz in 2.4GHz and supports channel
bandwidth of 802.11n/ac are 20MHz/40MHz/80MHz in 5GHz Band1 & Band4. The supporting data rates cover
from 1Mbps to 433 Mbps in 802.11a/b/g/n/ac mode and will switch automatically. The modulation type is
DBPSK/DQPSK/CCK in 802.11b and BPSK/QPSK/16-QAM/64-QAM/256-QAM in 802.11a/g/n/ac mode.
Both of WLAN and Bluetooth in AP6356S use the same RF trace and share the same “客戶使用”antenna,
which operates in 2.4GHz ISM and 5GHz UNII band also. WLAN device is used in the wide-area wireless
communication network, and the operation frequencies covers ISM 2.4 GHz &UNII 5 GHZ band. It can be used
to connect with mobile phone, PDA, PC, LAN, etc. The propagation range is larger than 100 meters.
FCC Compliance Statement
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant
to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency
energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference
to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can
be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference
by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is
connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/ TV technician for help.
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
1)This device may not cause harmful interference.
2)This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation.

Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void
the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
Note: The manufacturer is not responsible for any radio or TV interference caused by unauthorized
modifications to this equipment. Such modifications could void the user’s authority to operate the
equipment.
FCC RF Radiation Exposure Statement:
This equipment complies with FCC RF radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment.
This device and its antenna must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or
transmitter.
“To comply with FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, this grant is applicable to only Mobile
Configurations. The antennas used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance
of at least 20 cm from all persons and must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other
antenna or transmitter.”
Canadian Compliance Statement
This device complies with Industry Canada license-exempt RSSs. Operation is subject to the following two
conditions:
(1) This device may not cause interference, and
(2)This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of
the device.
Le présent appareil est conforme aux CNR d’Industrie Canada applicables aux appareils radio exempts de
licence. L’exploitation est autorisée aux deux conditions suivantes :
(1) l’appareil ne doit pas produire de brouillage;
(2) l’utilisateur de l’appareil doit accepter tout brouillage radioélectrique subi, meme si le brouillage est
susceptible d’en compromettre le fonctionnement.)
Radiation Exposure Statement:

This equipment complies with IC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment.
This equipment should be installed and operated with minimum distance 20cm between the radiator & your
body.
