Safety instrucons
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precauons should always be
followed, including:
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instrucon
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and
supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less
than 8 years old.
Always ensure the voltage on the rang label corresponds to the voltage in
your home.
Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the
plug is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualied electrician or a service
repair centre. If in doubt please contact our customer service team.
The appliance is intended for domesc use only. Industrial or commercial
use will void the warranty. The supplier cannot be held responsible for injury
or damage if the appliance has been used for anything other than its
intended use.
Incorrect operaon and use can damage the appliance and cause injury to
the user.
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. If
the unit has been damaged take the unit for examinaon and or repair by an
authorised service agent.
Do not immerse or expose the motor assembly, plug or the power cord in
water or any other liquid for any reason.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by
someone who is suitably qualied to avoid a potenal hazard.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that the
cord is not in a posion where it can be pulled or tripped over accidentally.
Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place the cord near
hot gas ,electric burners or in a heated oven.
Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended. However
if it is necessary to use an extension cord, ensure that the extension cord is
equal to or greater than the power consumpon of the appliance to avoid
overheang of the appliance and extension cord. Do not use any other
appliance on the extension cord. Do not place the extension cord in a
posion where it can be pulled on by children or animals or be tripped over.
Always operate the appliance on a smooth, even and stable surface. Do not

place the unit on a hot surface.
Always remove the plug of the appliance safely. Do not pull on the
appliances cord to remove the appliance plug from the electrical socket.
Never handle or operate the appliance with wet hands.
Except for the warm-up me, the device must not be operated empty.
Ensure that the device does not become overheated.

Before rst me use
Before using the appliance for the rst me, please remove all the various
packaging materials and wipe the unit with a slightly dampened cloth.
Operate the appliance without any food inside it when using it for the rst me.
This will burn o any residues le on during the manufacturing process.
Posion the appliance so that it can be opened to its full extent.
When the appliance is warming up always keep the lid closed.
Apply a light coang of buer, margarine or cooking fat to the heang
plates using a brush or a cloth. This helps seal the heang plates and
should only be carried out once.
The green operaon light goes out during operaon, when the appliance is
warming up and when the desired temperature has been aained.
When using the appliance for the rst me, the appliance may slightly
smoke and emit a small odour. This will not re-occur and is due to the
residues le on by the manufacturing process being burned o. This is
completely harmless and is not a cause for concern.
Aer the appliance has gone through the above menoned process clean
the appliance fully as described in “cleaning and maintenance”.
Operaon
Plug the device into a properly installed mains socket (the red and green
operaon lamp will light up) and switch the device on by turning the
adjustment knob to the right temperature level.
The wae iron requires approx. 4-5 minutes to warm up.
When the desired temperature has been aained, the green operang
light will go o.
Now open the device and pour the wae baer inside.
The heang plates include a non-sck coang. This means that pre-

greasing is not necessary for normal use.
Now shut the lid. The cooking process lasts approximately 5-6 minutes
(depending on the thickness and content of the wae dough).
Remove the waes once they are cooked with a wooden or heat resistant
plasc spatula. Do not use any objects with sharp edges to avoid damaging
the coang.
If you intend to prepare mulple servings of waes keep the lid closed to
conserve the heat.
Unplug the device aer use.
Cleaning and care
Before cleaning the appliance always switch the appliance o, disconnect it from
the electrical supply and allow it to completely cool.
Do not allow stains to dry. Clean the appliance and the cooking surfaces as
soon as the appliance cools.
The inner baking surfaces can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild
washing up liquid. Then wipe the surfaces dry with a so cloth.
Do not use any wire wool, metal brushes, scourers or other hard objects to
clean the appliance and the baking surfaces as they could scratch the
appliance and its non-sck surfaces.
The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external
mer or separate remote control system.

Basic Wae Recipe
Ingredients
Method
1. Turn your wae maker on.
2. Add the our, sugar, baking powder and salt together and mix.
3. In a separate bowl, add the milk, egg yolks, vanilla extract and melted buer
together and mix.
4. Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix together.
5. In a food mixer, whisk the egg whites unl s.
6. Gently fold the egg whites in with the wae mix.
7. Place approximately 1 ladle of mix in each side of the wae maker and cook
for 4-5 minutes.
8. Place the nished waes on a cooling rack.
Plain Flour 280g
Caster Sugar 60g
Baking Powder 1tsp
Pinch of salt
Eggs (separated) 3
Milk 500 ml
Vanilla extract 1 tsp
Melted Buer 100g

Shortbread waes
Method
1. Switch on the wae maker and allow it to heat while you make the wae
mix. The red and green lights will become illuminated.
2. Cream the buer and sugar.
3. Beat in the eggs and lemon rind. Sr in the plain our.
4. When the green light goes out, it is me to start cooking your waes.
5. Carefully ll each of the boom baking plates with the wae mix and close
the lid.
6. Leave it for around 4 minutes. Then open the lid and remove your waes
using a wooden spatula.
7. The waes should be crispy brown and cooked through, ready to eat.
8. You may cook the waes for longer if required.
Buer 200g
Sugar 200g
Free range eggs 4
Grated rind of lemon 1/2
Plain our 200g

Crispy waes
Method
1. Switch on the wae maker and allow it to heat up while you make the
wae mix. The red and green lights will be illuminated.
2. Melt the buer and allow it to cool slightly.
3. Whisk 4 eggs in a mixing bowl.
4. Add the melted buer, sugar, water, vanilla essence and rum.
5. Mix thoroughly and sr in the our.
6. When the green light goes out, it is me to start cooking your waes.
7. Carefully ll each of the boom baking plates with the wae mix and close
the lid.
8. Leave it for around 4-5 minutes.
9. Then open the lid and remove your waes using a wooden spatula.
The waes should be crispy brown and cooked through, ready to eat.
You may cook the waes for longer if required.

Apple waes
Method
1. Switch on the wae maker and allow it to heat up while you make the
wae mix. The red and green lights will be illuminated.
2. Melt the buer and allow it too cool slightly.
3. Whisk 4 eggs in a mixing bowl.
4. Add the melted buer, sugar, salt, cloves, cinnamon and diced apple.
5. Mix thoroughly and sr, carefully fold in the our.
6. When the green light goes out, it is me to start cooking your waes.
7. Put approximately 1 tablespoon of wae mix onto each plate and close the
lid.
8. Leave for around 4 minutes. Then open the lid and remove your waes
using a wooden spatula.
9. The waes should be crispy brown and cooked through, ready to eat.
10. You may cook the waes for longer if required.
Buer 150g

Electrical informaon
Please note:
It is extremely important that the wires or cores in the ex are connected to the
correct terminals in the plug. If the colour of the mains lead of the appliance does
not correspond with the coloured markings idenfying the terminals in your plug
proceed as follows:
The Live (Brown) wire
connects to the right-
most live (L) terminal
nearest to the fuse.
The Neutral (Blue)
wire connects to the
le-most neutral (N)
terminal.
The Earth (Green and
Yellow) wire connects
to the central, top
most earthed (E)
terminal.
Warning:
If the appliance is double insulated indicated by the double insulated symbol:
it should not have an earth wire or earth connecon.
Plug
The plug must be protected by the correct AMP fuse; this will be indicated on the
case of the plug. Only BSI or ASTA approved fuses should be used. When changing
the fuse always replace it with a fuse that is of the same idencal rang as the
original. If you are unsure about which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a
qualied electrician.
Please note aer replacing the fuse, ensure that the cover is correctly ed back
onto the plug. Never aempt to run the appliance if the plug does not have a cover.
If a moulded plug is ed and has to be removed take great care in disposing of the

plug and severed cable, it must be destroyed to prevent it from engaging into a
socket. If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by a service agent or a
similarly qualied person in order to avoid a hazard.

Your new Andrew James product comes with a 24 month guarantee and a 2 year
xed warranty, eecve from receipt conrmaon. Your receipt or order number is
required as proof of purchase date so it is imperave that you keep it safe. This
guarantee only applies if the item has been used solely for the use intended, and all
instrucons have been followed accordingly. Please note this product is only for
domesc not commercial use.
Abuse of your product will invalidate the guarantee. Returned goods can only be
accepted if repackaged properly within the original colour product box, and
presented with the original receipt of sale/order number. This does not aect your
statutory rights.
Returned products must be cleaned and returned to us in as close to delivery
condion as possible.
If your product develops a problem within the rst 12 months of the xed
warranty, we will pay all shipping costs to have it returned to us. Aer 12 months
the customer will be liable for the cost of returning the product to us. We will then
pay to have the repaired/replaced item shipped back to the customer.
If you wish to return your item for a full refund, you have the right to do so within
the rst 7 days, however we will deduct the cost of shipping from the value of the

Customers are responsible for any taxes applied to our products when they are
shipped outside of the EU.
All of our prices are inclusive of VAT.
Once a product has been returned to us, we will aim to repair or replace it within
30 days of receipt.
The guarantee does not cover any defect arising from improper use, damage, build-
up of lime scale or repair aempts made by third-pares. Also, the guarantee does
not cover normal wear and tear of individual parts.

other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible
harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste
disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of
material resources. To return
your used device, please use the return and collecon systems or
contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product
for environmental safe recycling.
