and particularly any u e of equipment that may cau e per onal injury or material damage.
The MultiBox-LAN contain no u er-maintenable part . All maintenance ha to be performed
by factorytrained ervice per onnel.
Check if the power cord, the plug and the ocket are in proper condition.
The MultiBox-LAN can be connected only to 230V AC (50 or 60 Hz) ocket .
Alway connect the MultiBox-LAN to properly grounded power ocket .
The MultiBox-LAN i intended for indoor u e only. Do NOT in tall the device in an area where
exce ive moi ture or heat i pre ent.
Becau e of afety and approval i ue it i not allowed to modify the MultiBox-LAN without
our permi ion.
Plea e re pect afety advi e and manual of connected device .

Description
The remote power witch MultiBox-LAN enable you to witch the power for electrical device
via TCP/IP network and a erial interface. For in tallation, MultiBox-LAN i imply connected
to a power upply and to the local network.
After allocating a free IP addre for the MultiBox-LAN, each of the four Power Port can be
witched by any computer in the ame LAN via web-interface. The MultiBox-LAN offer the
po ibility to u e SNMP and Sy log. Furthermore, acce to the device can be protected via IP
acce control li t (IP-ACL) or HTTP pa word .
A temperature en or or a hybrid en or (temperature and humidity) can be connected to the
MultiBox-LAN.
A watchdog function for each power port i implemented.
The LED di play on the front i able to how the the total load.
The MultiBox-LAN di po e of a leek and turdy pla tic ca ing and can be placed on a
de ktop or mounted to a 19“ rack.

DHCP
After witch-on the MultiBox-LAN look for a DHCP erver and reque t an available IP
addre .
Plea e check the IP addre allocated to MultiBox-LAN in the DHCP erver etting to make
ure that the ame addre i u ed at every reboot. To turn OFF DHCP plea e u e the oftware
GBL_Conf.exe or u e configuration via the web interface.
Network settings with BL_Conf
For changing the network propertie manually, the program GBL_Conf.exe i required. Thi
tool i available for free on our web ite www.antrax.de. Furthermore GBL_Conf.exe enable
you to in tall firmware update and to re et MultiBox-LAN to it factory etting . Activate
bootloader mode of MultiBox-LAN and run GBL_Conf.exe. The program will earch
automatically for connected device and will di play their network configuration.
If the di played IP addre accord with the factory etting (192.168.0.2), there i either no
DHCP erver available in the network or no free IP addre could be allocated.
Enter a free IP addre and the according netma k in the entry ma k, then ave the e change
by clicking on Program Device SaveConfig. Re tart the firmware of MultiBox-LAN, o that the
change will take effect. Now click on Search in order to have the new network configuration
di played.

remember last state).
If switching on after power-up, wait ...
A witching delay of a Power Port can be defined here that i applied after witch on of
the device. The delay can la t up to 8191 econd . Thi corre pond to approx. two 2 hour
and 20 minute .
After turning off, wait ...
While thi function i enabled, the Power Port will reactivate after the tated time, when

While u ing the watchdog, electrical device can be ob erved. The watchdog end ICMP-ping
or TCP-ping to the device. If the e ping were not an wered, during a defined delay (time or
ping ), the power port will re et. The watchdog function allow to re tart e.g. cra hed erver
or NAS y tem .
You can check the watchdog function and other imformation in ide of the witching menu.
There are different color :
•Green text: Watchdog i active and receive ping replie
•Orange text: Watchdog i activating at the moment, waiting for fir t ping reply
•Red text: Watchdog i active and doe not receive ping replie any longer
When watchdog i activating it wait for a fir t ping reply. During thi time, the information i
written a an orange text. After the receive of the fir t ping reply, it witche to active, written
in green letter .
When a watchdog re et a power port, the watchdog again wait for a fir t ping reply, a tated
above.
Enable Watchdog
Here you can activate the watchdog for thi power port.
Watchdog type
Here you can witch between ICMP ping or TCP ping.
ICMP Pings
The cla ic Ping (ICMP echo reque t). They can be u ed to te t acce of the network device
( uch a a erver).
TCP Pings
With TCP Ping , you can check a pecific ervice on the monitored network device and it
function. While an ICMP ping can give information only about whether a device i on and
alway ha an active network connection, the TCP ping provide information about whether a
particular ervice on thi device i operational and accepting new connection . So you can for
example monitor a tandard SMTP erver with TCP Port 25, a tandard Http SERVER WITH TCP
Port 80, etc.
Host IP
Here you can enter the IP addre thi watchdog hould ob erve.
TCP Port
If TCP ping are u ed, here you can enter the TCP port. A TCP port i not needed,
when ICMP ping are choo en.
