The SwitchBox-USB allows the input and switching off a electronic device via USB interface of
a PC. Timer-controlled switching operations b the parallel and serial interfaces via the free of
charge SwitchBox-USB service program (download on the antrax homepage)
Before first use of the SwitchBox-USB, please read this instruction manual or the help file
(found on our homepage). It contains information for the correct use and contains important
tips for the installation of the SwitchBox-USB. The manufacturer does not accept an liabilit
due to improper use of the unit. In this case all guarantee claims are invalid.
Use of the SwitchBox-USB
The SwitchBox-USB is intended for switching of resistive and inductive loads up to maximum
2000W (230V/8.5A) in dr and closed housing space and offices. Activation ma onl be set up
via the USB-bus. Operating instructions of the connected electronic devices and their safet
regulations must be respected.
Safety Instructions
Do not open the SwitchBox-GSM. It contains no parts to be serviced b ou.
Onl use the SwitchBox-GSM indoors and do not subject the unit to moisture or
humidit .
Onl connect the SwitchBox-GSM to properl installed 230V AC outlets.
Onl clean the exterior of the SwitchBox-GSM with a dr cloth after unplugging it
from the electrical outlet and removal of the interface cable.
Do not overload the SwitchBox-GSM above its load specification level. An
overload can lead to the SwitchBox-GSM being destro ed.
Do not use the SwitchBox-GSM in areas used b children.
Do not connect the SwitchBox-GSM to a computer that is alread switched on.
This can lead to computer components becoming damaged or destro ed.
Do not use the SwitchBox-GSM if one or several parts (case, cable, plug) are
damaged or damage ma be caused b its location (e.g., falling down).
The SwitchBox-GSM ma onl be repaired b authorized service personnel.
Onl connect electrical appliances that have no limit to their switched-on time (i.e.
all connected electrical appliances must be able to take continuous current without
sustaining damage in the case of a default to the permanentl “ON” position).
Never operate the SwitchBox-USB, if malfunction/error of the box ma cause
damage on people or material.

The load circuit is switched about a single-pole electrical rela , therefore even when the
SwitchBox-USB outlet is switched to off there can still be a mains voltage on one of the
outlet sockets!
When the SwitchBox-USB is controlled via a PC/computer, this device determines the
