You have chosen our StandardStage 500 platform system.
For your own and the safety of your guests / visitors we kindly ask you
to read these assembly instructions carefully and to follow our advice.
Please store these instructions safely.
The design has been deliberately focused on simple features which
show no signs of wear even in the event of frequent assembly and
dismantling.

Maintenance and Repairs
We recommend an inspection at least once-per-year. Additional checks must take place after extreme
loading. As a rule, the products should be briey checked after each assembly. In the inspection, please pay
attention to any sharp edges which may have occurred or to any possibly loose parts.
Please contact us in the event of missing parts or serious damage to the products.
We will happily clarify with you the further use or the delivery of spare parts of the units. Repairs must be only
be carried out by qualied personnel or following consultation with our employees. On decommissioning
the products, disposal can also be carried out through us.
The inspections must be carried out by qualied personnel. We will be happy to offer you the inspections
carried out by our employees.
Minor visual inspections, for example, of the connectors or the feet can also be done by non-qualied
personnel.
Please contact our competent team for questions about repairs, maintenance or spare part procurement.
Instructions for Use
Our StandardStage 500 platforms have been tested by TÜV with a 500 kN/m2load-bearing capacity.
Therefore, travelling over them in a wheelchair presents no problems. But should you want to
travel on them with larger vehicles, please discuss this with us in advance in order to clarify the
dynamic loads.
Instructions for Assembly / Dismantling
Before assembling the stage platform, ensure that the load-bearing capacity of the installation site is at
least the same as the nominal load of the platform. Ideally, the platforms should be assembled by two
people. Where appropriate, please wear safety gloves and safety shoes in order to prevent injuries during
assembly / dismantling. In addition, pay attention to the correct and proper use (for example, beech
veneer panels for indoor use only and screen printed panels for indoor and outdoor use) and where
applicable, to additional wind and snow loads.

Storage and Cleaning
The platforms should be stored in a dry place.
To ensure quick assembly, it is recommended to store the platforms with the support plate facing
downwards. For this, ideally use the supplied accompanying pallets or a transport trolley.
The cleaning of the platforms with a screen printed surface can be done using a damp cloth.
Untreated wood surfaces must only be cleaned dry. Please do not use any aggressive cleaning
agents!
Positioning of the Protective Equipotential Bonding
If you wish to connect protective equipotential bonding to the platforms, this can be done quite
simply by means of two slot nuts, screws M8, and an appropriate wire. Please contact us in the event
of further questions.

Fitting the Stage and Telescopic Legs (4 legs per platform must be used)
In the corners on the underside, the platforms have the so-called leg mounting brackets with a
clamping wedge for the securing of the platform legs. The telescopic legs and the stage legs are
inserted in the leg mounting brackets and are then tightened hand-tight (approx. 30 Nm) using the
wing screws (approx. 30 Nm). Before inserting the legs, ensure that the clamping wedge has been
screwed out sufciently.
To ensure quick assembly, the platforms should always be stored with the plate facing downwards.
With Telescopic Legs
In order to be able to quickly set frequently used platform heights such as 40, 60 or 100 cm, the telescopic legs
have height setting holes with spacing of 5 cm. To set the desired height, loosen the wing nuts and press the
securing bolts out of the the telescopic leg. Now slide the inner and outer legs into the desired position so that
the corresponding holes lie on top of each other. Push the bolt through the holes again, t the washer and
secure the bolt again using the wing nut (approx. 30 Nm).
Please use an open-ended spanner (size 24) for the ne adjustment and securing of the set height.
Please tighten the wing screws on the leg mounting brackets hand-tight (approx. 30 Nm) and regularily check
the rm seating of the wing screws.

Groove Connectors
With low platform heights or with platforms assembled without legs, the connection can also take place in the
groove in the frame prole. For this, groove connectors (or also clamp connectors) are pushed into the groove
between the platforms. The small „nose“ of the connector prevents it from slipping further into the prole.
The groove connector can be extended using an Allen key. The jaws press against the frame prole and so
connect the two platforms. This also helps to balance out small uneven surfaces in the assembly.
Connection of the Platforms
Platform Connectors
The connecting together of the platforms takes place on the underside of the aluminium frame using platform
connectors.
The platform connectors function as a kind of screw clamp. First one clamp jaw and then the second clamp
jaw is hooked on to the underside of the edge prole. Once the two clamp jaws of the platform connector are
positioned correctly, please tighten the wing screws hand-tight (approx. 30 Nm).
So that the secure connection of the platforms is ensured, each newly added platform is secured using two
platform connectors. Depending on the space situation, the assembly should take place row by row or column
by column. Please regularly check the rm seating of the platform connectors. Pay attention to the correct
height adjustment and ensure that no tripping points (>2 mm) are created.
In addition, the platforms are strengthened by means of small wooden battens (pushed into the groove in the
centre) which also ensure additional height levelling.

Fitting Stairs
Push the stairs to the desired position at the platform or at the rostrum. Then connect the stairs to the
platform frame using the stair-platform connector. In the process, the supplied accompanying slot nut is
swivelled into the assembly groove of the platform frame and tightened hand-tight using the wing screws
(approx. 30 Nm). The attached block of the platform connector is hooked into the back of the platform
frame and likewise tightened. Finally the stair-platform connector is itself screwed to the stairs using the
hexagonal screws.
The number of steps of the stairs can be increased or decreased for different platform heights. To do so,
simply loosen the carriage bolts between the steps.
Fitting Stair Handrails
The stair handrails as safety handrails in accordance with DIN standards or as railings are each available as
standard for two or three steps. Depending on the height of the stairs, one or more handrails are tted
on the side of the steps. To do so, simply x the handrails to the stairs using the hexagonal screws and the
wing nuts. For additional stability, the stair handrails can be connected to each other and to the platform
railings likewise using the hexagonal screws.
The handrails and platform railings for two and three steps have been tested and certied by TÜV
Thüringen.

Fitting Railings
Railings must be tted on all open sides of the platforms immediately they are accessible to the public or
the assembled height exceeds 20 cm.
Platform Railings / Safety Barrier
Secure the safety barrier or also box railings in the frame prole likewise using the slot nuts and the wing screws.
Simply swivel the slot nut into the prole, slide it to the desired position and secure the safety barrier using the
wing screws. Here, too, the railings must be connected to each other by means of the hexagonal screws and
wing nuts. A connection over the corners is likewise possible using the corner connectors. The platform railings
in the widths of 50 cm and 100 cm have been tested and certied by TÜV Thüringen.
Safety Handrails (in accordance with DIN)
The safety handrails or also DIN railings are simply secured in the groove of the frame prole. Swivel the supplied
accompanying slot nuts into the groove and secure the railings at the desired position using the wing screws.
For additional stability, t the supporting bearer to the ange of the railings. Set the attached levelling screws
so that they press on the platform panels from below. In addition, connect the railings to each other using
the hexagonal screws and wing nuts. An additional connection over the corner can be made with the corner
connectors. The railings in the widths of 50 cm, 100 cm and 200 cm have been tested and certied by TÜV
Thüringen. (200 cm width on StandardStage 750 and ProStage 750).

Fitting Castors
Conversion to a Transport Trolley
In just a few minutes, the platforms can also be converted to transport trolleys. To do so, insert the
castors (with pre-tted castor mounts) into the leg mounts of the platforms. This is done as with our
platform legs. Simply tighten the pressure bars hand-tight (approx. 30 Nm) and turn the platform over
again. Using the slot nuts and the wing screws, the push-bar brackets can now be tted to the right and
left corners of the frame. Then insert the push-bar into the brackets and secure it using the attached
wing screws. The brackets are available for one, two or four legs.
Rollable Platforms
Naturally, platforms with longer legs can also be tted with castors. This is very easy with the roll foot adapters.
Using the accompanying screws, t the the adapter to the mounting plate of the castor. Then insert the
platform leg into the adapter and secure it using the attached wing screws. Now, as usual, t the leg to the
platform. The adapters are available for one, two or four legs.
The transport trolleys and castors are not included in the scope of the TÜV Thüringen certication.
