3. Charge your Aquaeegg
Use the charging cable to connect Aquaeegg device and USB power port.Pay attention to the protruding surface of
the charging cable is on the outer flank. During charging, the Aquaeegg flashes red light. The green light flashes
when charging is completed (Aquaeegg can be charged in ON or OFF state).

4. Attach the tether wire (optional)
a. Secure the sensor of Aquaeegg with a fixed coil, please ensure that the rope loop does not slip off.
b. Tie the other end of the tether to some objects on the shore, preventing Aquaeegg from drifting away.Use tether
wire to fetch Aquabot when needed.
An optional holding fixture can be purchased
on Aqua-bot.com to attach Aquaeegg to the
pool wall to prevent it from drifting around.

06
5. Release Aquaeegg to Water
Importantly, first insert the waterproof cover into the charging port before the Aquaeegg is put into the water.
Tilt the Aquaeegg for 45-degree with the gas outlet of the sensor facing up (as shown below), and slowly place it
into water or pool, to avoid trapping air bubbles inside the sensor. Slowly shake a few times in water to release air
bubble if necessary.
Trick: You can soak the whole Aquaeegg a few inches below the water surface to utilize water pressure to drive out
the air bubbles out of the sensor compartment much easier.
NOTE:Do NOT put unassembled Aquaeegg device without sensor directly into the water. It will cause damage to the
circuit board.

07
6. Connect Aquaeegg
a. Make sure your phone is within a range of 50 meters to the Aquaeegg and Bluetooth is ON.
b. Start the AquaIOT APP on your phone. It will automatically search and connect Aquaeegg device. The message of
“Connection Successful”will show on the screen if Aquaeegg connection is successful. If the connection fails, please
restart AquaIOT and connect it again.

08
7. Activate Aquaeegg Sensor
a.When Aquaeegg is used for the first time or reuse after a long time, please activate Aquaeegg on App (Aquaeegg
will automatically analyze the test environment and complete calibration). The calibration method is shown below.

You Can Set Light Modes!
You can set the light mode in the menu by scrolling the screen right.
Mode 1- Lights Up: LED is always on and changes color according to water
quality. Red indicates poor water quality. Green indicates good water quality.
Yellow indicates fair water quality. This mode uses power quickly. Fully charged
device lasts for about 2 days in this mode.
Mode 2 - Tinkle: LED flashes periodically to indicate water quality. Fully charged
device lasts for about 3 days.
Mode 3 - Rainbow: LED flashes with rainbow color. This mode is good for party,
but burns power quickly. Fully charged device lasts for about 1 day.
Mode 4 - Power Saving: LED turns off to save power. Device goes to sleep while
not sensing. Fully charged device can last for about 30 days.

b. Get the new sensor from the box. Confirm the two red O-rings in place as shown below. Do NOT use without O-rings.
c. Align the top of the sensor module with Aquaeegg plug-in hole.Pay attention to align the small protrusion on the sensor
to the alignment nut on the Aquaeegg device. Then press in and hold the sensor module, and rotate it clock- wise for 90
degree until no further rotation can be made. Aquaeegg will flash red, green, blue colors alternately to indicate successful
installation.

Quick Tips:
1. Please do NOT put Aquaeegg close to inlet/outlet of pool or other electronics
such as pump, heater, or cleaning robot. Find a calm area for Aquaeegg to avoid
water turbulence to interfere testing.
2. Aquaeegg is a monitor, not a test meter, as it tests hourly automatically. Please
do not use Aquaeegg to test liquids other than pool water, as liquids like coffee,
beer, and beverage would contaminate the sensor.
3. The sensor cover and the charging port plug MUST be in place for accurate
reading.
4. When your phone is disconnected with Aquaeegg,it still tests water according
to the default time point. Once the connection is restored, Aquaeegg will send
the data to the phone, which can be viewed in AquaIOT's "Data" page.
5. When App reminds that the sensor module needs to be replaced, please
replace it as described on page 12. The sensor can be purchased at www.
Aqua-bot.com.
6. When the Aquaeegg 's lights are no longer flashing or power bar on the APP
screen is low, you need to recharge the Aquaeegg device. Fetch the Aquaeegg
from the water, and use paper towel to wipe the surface and let it dry.
7. When Aquaeegg is used for the first time or used after being idle for a long
time, Aquaeegg needs to be calibrated at the App client, which takes about 10
minutes. Please refer to page 8 for specific steps.
