WATER QUALITY
Caution: For use with municipal water only.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Warning: It is essential that these Installation and Operating
Instructions be strictly observed, for correct operation
of this appliance.
We recommend a qualified licensed plumber install the system,
who is prepared to guarantee their workmanship.
Prior to installation, check for any existing State or Local Plumbing
Codes, to ensure installation is compliant.
Warning: Tap must never be installed using acetone silicones.
Tap must be installed with an isolating tap in accordance with local
authority installation codes.
Wipe tap in one direction only, applying minimal pressure on tap.
Use only a soft dry cloth with warm soapy water to clean the
surface of the tap. Never use harsh detergents or abrasive
cleaners.
To maintain tap lacquer, use a soft cloth or wipe over tap with
warm soapy water to remove sur face dust where tap remains dry.
Note: Recommended working pressure: 300 to 700 kpa
Maximum difference in pressure between hot and cold supply
should be 150 kpa.
Where normal working pressures exceed maximum working
pressure stated above in the System Specifications, a pressure
limiting valve should be installed.

C. Faucet Installation Instructions
Warning: Do not use any tools to fix the flexible metal
connectors. Hand tight pressure only.
Warning: Do not over tighten the Flexible Metal Connectors to
the tap connections, as cross threading and leaking can occur.
Water tightness is not improved and the o-rings can be damaged.
Note: This tap must be installed with an isolating tap in
accordance with local authority installation codes.
1. Shut off mains water supply and drain any excess water from
the old tap before removing the tap from the sink.
2. Locate the Mains Cold and Hot Water Connections (2 & 3) inlet
on the tap (marked with the letters C and H).
3. Firmly hand tighten the Flexible Metal Connectors (9) into
the tap inlets, being careful not to over tighten and to avoid
damage to the o-ring seals.
4. Thread the Flexible Metal Connectors (9) and tap shanks (4 &
5) through the Mixer Base (14a).
Note: Check to make sure the mixer base o-ring is still present and
is fully seated in place.
5. Mount the tap onto the sink hole, by threading the Flexible
Metal Connectors (9) and tap shanks (4&5) through the sink
hole and position the Mixer base (14a) between the sink and
the tap.
6. Ensure that the Flexible Metal Connectors (9) are positioned
towards the front of the sink with the lever handles pointing
towards the user and tap shanks (4 & 5) are positioned at the
back.
7. Thread the Fixing Plate Washer (14b) and then the Fixing Plate
(14c) onto the Ambient Filtered Water Shank (5).
8.
Screw Locking Nut (14d) onto the Ambient Filtered Water
shank (5) and lock the tap onto the sink by tightening the
Locking Nut.
Note: Tap levers must never be used to align the tap in centre
positions after Locking Nut has been tightened. Damage to levers
will occur. Loosen Locking Nut before aligning the tap in the centre
of the sink.
9. Place the Brass Adapter Red Washer (10) into the female end
of the Brass Adapter (11) and screw Brass Adapter onto the
end of the Ambient Filtered Water Shank (4).

10. Place the 1/4 inch Quick Connection Black O-ring (12) into
the 1/4 inch Quick Connection Piece (13), and screw 1/4 inch
Quick Connection Piece onto the ends of the Ambient and Cold
Filtered Water Shanks (4 & 5).
Note: Hand tighten connections only, as cross threading can occur.
If leaks occur, apply sealing tape in a clockwise direction and
reconnect fittings. Do not apply sealing tape in a counter clockwise
direction, it releases the tape.
11. Locate the Flexible Metal Connector (9) connected to the
Mains Cold Water Connection (2) inlet on the tap and connect
the Flexible Hose Connector to the mains cold water
supply line.
12. Locate the Flexible Metal Connector (9) connected to the
Mains Hot Water Connection (3) inlet on the tap and connect
the Flexible Hose Connector to the mains hot water supply line.
IMPORTANT: Re-check to make sure hot and cold mains water
connections are correct.
13. Connect Tubing connections from your filtration system and
undersink chiller to the ends of the Quick Connection Pieces
connected to the ends of the Ambient and Cold Filtered
Water Shanks (4 & 5).
Note: Refer to section D. Tubing Installation
14. Before turning on mains water supply, open the tap Mains
Water Hot & Cold Levers (7) midway between full hot and full
cold and remove the Aerators (8) from the tap outlets.
15. Turn “ON” the mains water supply and thoroughly flush water
through the supply lines and the tap.
16. Turn the tap water levers “OFF”, reinstall the Aerators (8) and
check for any leaks.
Note: Connections may need to be reinstalled
and tightened slightly.

D. Tubing Installation
The Tap has been supplied with quick and easy to install quick
connection pieces for your filtered water connection.
Note: Check the ends of the tubing to make sure there are no
cuts, nicks, flat spots or sharp edges. If any of these are present,
cut the ends with a utility knife. We recommend the use of a
tube cutter.
To install tubing:
Refer to section B. Typical Installation Diagram
1. Measure a length of 1/4” tubing to run from the filter head of
the filtration system to the Quick Connect T Piece.
2. Measure a length of 1/4” tubing to run from one outlet of
the Quick Connect T Piece to the tap Ambient Filtered Water
Connection.
3. Measure a length of 1/4” tubing to run from the other outlet of
the Quick Connect T Piece to the undersink chiller unit inlet.
4. Measure a length of 1/4” tubing to run from the outlet of the
undersink chiller unit to the tap Cold Filtered Water
Shank connection.
5. Measure 3/4 inch (19.05mm) from the ends of the tubing and
mark with a pencil. Fig 2.
6. Push the tubing firmly into the quick connection fittings on
the Filter System, Quick Connect T Piece and Tap connections
until the pencil mark is pushed next to the collet or until tubing
is fully seated, Fig 2. If tubing is removed, re-cut the end,
measure, mark and reinsert.
Note: Tubing must be fully inserted/seated to avoid leaks.
7. Pull slightly on tubing to ensure tube is secure.
To remove tubing: push collet against the face of the fitting and
pull tubing to remove (with collet still held against fitting face)

E. Trouble Shooting
BEFORE YOU CALL FOR SERVICE PLEASE REVIEW THE TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS FIRST.
Problem Possible Causes What To Do
Leaking
Incorrect Installation Check to make sure tubing has been installed correctly. Refer
to section D. Tubing Installation.
Connection needs thread tape
Unscrew the Quick Connection Piece and place thread tape
around the tap shanks in a clockwise direction, reassemble
Quick Connection Piece and install tube.
Faulty Tap If tap is leaking at the tap handle please
contact Aquaport.
No Water Flow
Shut off valve is switched off Please make sure that the shut off valve on your filtration
system is open.
Mains Water Switched off
Make sure that your mains water supply has not been shut off

TAP 5 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Aquaport warrants the Filtered Water Sink Mixer Tap to the first
purchaser from the date of purchase. Product will be repaired or
replaced at our discretion.
Conditions Of Warranty:
1. Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship in the
manufactured product.
2. The warranty extends only to repairing or replacing any
component that proves to be defective in material or
workmanship.
3. Product must be installed by a licensed plumber, and
in accordance to relevant National Standards and State
Regulations.
Note: We recommend a qualified licensed plumber install the
system, who is prepared to guarantee their workmanship.
4. Product must be fully installed in accordance with the user
manual installation instructions.
5. Product must be installed with an isolating tap in accordance
with local authority installation codes.
6. Warranty does not cover products which have been exposed
to water pressure and or temperatures that exceed the stated
limitations as per the product installation instructions.
7. Warranty does not cover defects occasioned by misuse,
alterations, accidents, or used for other than the intended
purpose.
8. Warranty does not cover damage to the product caused by
accident, fire, or floods.

9. Warranty does not cover the fitting of other devices to the
outlet of the tap. EG. Tap water filter.
10. Warranty does not cover the fitting of non-approved in tap body
or end of line flow regulating devices.
11. Warranty does not cover damage as a result of obstructions
due to inadequate flushing of system before use.
12. Warranty does not cover damages to tap finishes which arise
from the use of adhesives, sealants etc…
13. Warranty does not cover damages to tap finishes which occur
during installation or post installation use.
14. Warranty does not cover failure to clean & replace outlet
aerator inserts etc…
15. Warranty does not cover damage or malfunctions of tap
ceramic cartridge due to the presence in the water supply of:
a. Copper tube pieces
b. Sand, dirt or stones
c. Thread tape
d. Other objects not normally present on potable water
supplies
e. Water pressure exceeding 1000kpa.
16. Warranty does not cover products which have been attached
via the end of the spout to any additional water control device
e.g dishwasher, tap water filter
To Make a Claim:
1. Copy of proof of purchase with date of purchase is required.
Please keep purchase receipt in a safe place.
2. Evidence showing that the product has been installed by
a licensed plumber in accordance with these installation
instructions and relevant National Standards and State
Regulations.
