No# 814305.
Light Installation.
1. Follow item 4 of the above instructions to set your awning up, if it is a windy day please
make sure to use the guide ropes included to secure the awning.
2. Unpack your ARB awning light Part No# 814305 and check all contents are there.
a. Strip Light –1.5m Aluminium profile
b. Cables
c. Dimming Switch
d. 12V Cigarette Plug
e. Carry Bag
3. Separate the LED Strip from the rest of the components.
4. Locate the opening on the end of the light sleave on the awning and insert the non-cable
light strip end into the sleeve. In humid conditions or hot days, there may be some very
minor resistance to the LED strip being slid in the sleave, please apply gentle continuous
pressure to insert the strip light and to allow this to continue to slide into the sleeve. A very
small amount of talcum powder can assist.
5. Once you reach the end of the strip light with the cable end, use a round long (at least 60cm)
hard piece of plastic or wooden dowel to poke the remaining strip light into the awning to
centre the strip light, make sure the dowel or plastic has no sharp edges and is smooth so
not to mark the plastic insert tube. Make sure to keep the Cable connector outside of the
tube insert for easy connection.
6. Once the light is inserted, centre on the Awning using the above method, make sure the
cable is still accessible and not inserted all the way.
7. When Rolling the Awning Up, the cable should not roll up inside the awning but protrude
from the end of the awning.
8. The Awning light can be left in the Awning permanently and dose not need to be removed
between use.
Instructions for Use.
1. Locate all cables with the unit and assemble cables from the 12v Cigarette end, the dimmer
switch is to be located near the cigarette plug end for easy use.
2. Once all cables are firmly connected then check to make sure the light powers up and
functions. (Check diagram below for button control)
3. The light and Dimmer switch is waterproof and will handle general rain, in heavy rain it is
recommended to keep the dimmer switch out of direct water contact. Always make sure to
drop one leg of the awning down to stop water from pooling on the roof of the awning.
4. To Pack up, turn light off and disconnect 12v cigarette plug and then start to disconnect the
cable from the light end, you can leave all the cables connected for storage in the separate
nylon carry bag. The light dose not need to be removed and can be rolled up in the awning
when packing the awning away. Always make sure the connector dose not get rolled up in
the awning roof where it could get squashed or rub on the surface of the awning.
