TheM4LPQtransmitterisequippedwitha‘dualrate’feature.Thisfeatureallowsyoutotoggle
betweenthe‘High’(HI/FULL)and‘Low’(LO/HALF)controlratesavailablefortheaileronand
elevatorchannels.Youcantogglebetweenthehighandlowratesbypressingthedualratebutton
(therightsideoftherockerswitch)locatedonthetopleft‘corner’ofthetransmitter.Youshould
feela‘click’andalsohearanaudiblebeep/tonethatindicateswhichcontrolratemodeyouarein.
Two(2)beeps/tonesmeansyou’veselectedhigh/’FULL’ratemodeandone(1)beep/tonemeans
you’veselectedlow/’HALF’ratemode.Also,theselectedratemodewillbedisplayedas‘FULL’for
highrateand‘HALF’forlowrateontheLCDscreen.Thelowratemodeistypicallypreferredby
(andrecommendedbestfor)first‐time,low‐timeandotherpilotsinterestedmostinareduced
amountofcontrolauthoritythatallowsforevensmootherandmoreeasilycontrolledhovering
andflying.
Theelevatortrimcanbeusedtohelpkeepthequadcopterfromdriftingforwardorbackward
whenhoveringandwithnoright‐handstickinput.Forexample,ifthequadcopterdriftsforward
whenhoveringaddbackward(up)elevatortrimbypressingtheright‐handelevatortrimbutton
(therightsideoftherockerswitch)locatedonthetopright‘corner’ofthetransmitteruntilthe
quadcopterhoversaslevelaspossiblewithnoforwarddrifting.NOTE:Theuniquepositionofthe
elevatortrimbuttonsisduetotheergonomicdesignofthetransmitter.Thefunctionsofthese
buttonsareclearlynotedonthecorrespondinglabelanditwillnottypicallybenecessarytoadjust
theelevatortrimpositionafterit’sbeensetcorrectly.
