warnings and instructions on the product.

DanteTM Audio Adapter

• Do not place heavy objects on the unit.
• Use only the power cord supplied with the unit. In the event that another
power cord is used, one that is different than the one provided by the
supplier, make sure that it is certified by the local and applicable national
standards.
• If the power cable is faulty in any way, please contact the manufacturer or
the nearest authorized repair service provider for a replacement.
• The power supply cord is used as the main disconnect device. Ensure that
the socket outlet is easily accessible after installation.
• Overloaded AC outlets, extension cords, frayed power cords, and broken
plugs are extremely dangerous. They may, and can, result in an electrical
shock or fire hazard. Call an authorized service technician for any
replacements.
• Hands must be dry when plugging the power cord into an AC outlet to
prevent electrical shock. Do not damage the power cord by disassembling,
bending, pulling or exposing it to heat as it may cause a fire or electrical
shock.
• Make sure to completely insert the power plug. Insecure connections can
cause a re.
• Unplug the unit if cleaning is needed. Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth
when the power is o.

Chapter 1 Basics
Arista's ARS-0202 A-Series DanteTM Audio Adapter is an end-of-network audio device, It is
a DanteTM enabled box which can convert 2 channel analog audio input signal sources into
DanteTM digital audio signal to share your audio with other users and devices on the Dante
network. and simultancely convert 2 channel DanteTM digital audio signal into analog audio
output signal to route audio from network sources to your own computer or peripherals, The
A-Series DanteTM Audio Adapter allows user to easily switch between analog audio signal
and DanteTM digital audio signal. Only with a single aordable ethernet cable to extend and
transmit high quality multi-channel audio to replace multiple analog or multi-core cables. By
just a few mouse clicks for conguration, user can fully control the DanteTM Audio Adapter
with DanteTM controller.
The DanteTM Audio Adapter(with metal bezel) can be used in harsh conditions. It comes
with lockable chassis connectors for both the audio and network connections. With optional
mounting brackets, the box can be mounted in oor boxes or in equipment racks.
The ARS-0202 A-Series DanteTM Audio Adapter provides the best solution for audio networking.
The DanteTM Audio Adapter can be widely used for broadcasting station ,conference room, data

Mounting the DanteTM Audio Adapter
Rack mounting(optional)
If multiple ARS-0202 A-series DanteTM audio adapters are used, you can place
and pile them up or mounted them onto a 19 inch standard rack. To mount them
onto a rack, you will require the mounting screws and brackets that can be
ordered from Arista.
Before mounting them onto rack, please rst remove the rubber protection
cover from the adapter box, then follow the steps shown in the diagram
below:
1. As shown in the gure below, place every two DanteTM audio adapters together,
and tighten them with mounting brackets and screws.

2. Place the ARS-0202 A-series DanteTM audio adapter on the layer board of the
19” standard rack, align the four screw holes on the mounting bracket with the
four screw holes on the two sides of the 19” rack.
Use a screwdriver to tighten the four “#8-32UNC” size screws to rmly ax the
adapter onto the 19” rack. Make sure the unit is correctly and securely seated
onto the rack.
In order to correctly install the ARS-0202 A-series danteTM audio adapter, the
specic dimensions are indicated in the diagram below.

Basic Operation
• Make sure all the required cables are connected properly, and press the Power button at
the front of the unit to “ON”. The power LED indicator at the back of the unit will light blue.
• When the system is ready, the SYS LED indicator on the front panel of the unit will light
green, and when the audio system is working, the SYNC LED will light green.

• Upon powering on, press the Power button again to turn o the Dante
TM
adapter
.
• If the unit is not going to be in use for an extended period of time, press the Power
button to turn o the unit and disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet.
To get the best microphone audio input signal, ARS-0202-A11 allows user to adjust the
gain level for MIC-IN 1 and MIC-IN 2 audio channels. Turn the GAIN knob clockwise to
increase the gain level, turn the GAIN knob anti-clockwise to decrease the gain level.
Latency is a delay that digital audio devices and applications introduce into an audio stream
to allow for the processing of audio packets.
For ARS-0202-A11, turn the DELAY knob clockwise to increase the latency time, turn the
DELAY knob anti-clockwise to decrease the latency time.

Extra Controls
Arista ARS-0202 A-Series
DanteTM Audio Adapter
can be monitored and controlled
by the DanteTM controller which allows users to congure and route audio
around Dante networks. DanteTM controller is a free software application that
enable user easily set up a DanteTM network. Within seconds of a Dante-enabled
device connecting to a network, Dante Controller will automatically discover and
display the device, allowing you to congure channels and route audio.
Follow the below steps to set up a DanteTM network for controlling.
1. Download and install the Dante Controller from Audinate website (www.
audinate.com).
2. Connect the computer to the router using a standard network cable.
3. Launch the “DanteTM Controller” software.
4. In the routing menu, click the “+ / -” symbols for the devices to congure the
audio routing.
Once set up and congured the audio routing between audio device, the audio
device will remember and save the settings, the computer and the “DanteTM
Controller” software can be disconnected from the network.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting
1. Maintenance
Regular maintenance of the ARS-0202 A-Series
DanteTM Audio Adapter
can help
prevent damage or downtime.
Warning! Do not operate or service the unit with its chassis open.
There are hazardous voltages inside. Service should only be performed
by qualied and authorized personnel. Make sure ARS-0202 A-Series
DanteTM Audio Adapter
is powered o and unplugged before removing the
cover or working on internal components.
• If the ARS-0202 A-Series DanteTM Audio Adapter gets wet, power it off
immediately. Wait for the ARS-0202 A-Series DanteTM Audio Adapter to dry
completely before powering it on again.
• Clean the unit with a soft,dry cloth. Never use alcohol, paint thinner or benzene
to clean this unit. Wipe surfaces clean after applying cleaner.
• If the unit needs service, please consult the authorized dealer through the
contact information provided on the warranty card. Faulty service may void the
warranty.

Before requesting service for the ARS-0202 A-Series DanteTM Audio Adapter
,check the following for a possible cause of the problem you are experiencing.
Some simple checkups or a minor adjustment on the adapter may eliminate the
problem and restore to normal operation.
No power
• Insert the power plug properly into the power outlet.
• Check if there is power at the AC outlet by plugging another device for a test.
• Check if your router is with PoE support.
No signal on the unit
• Check if all the cables are connected correctly. Physically disconnect and reconnect
the device.
• Check if your audio system is turned on.
• For software audio source, restart the audio application and play some audio in
the audio application.
No Audio on the destination device
• Check that the device is actually routed to a destination audio device.
• Check that the destination is succesfully connected to Arista adapter (as its audio input)
• Check that the destination is capable of receiving and/or playing audio.
• Check that the volume level is not adjusted to low, turn up the volume.
The audio signal is distorted
• Check if the connectors are in good condition.
• Disable any Wi-Fi network connections.
• Check that any network switches in the system are coping with their trac.
• Faulty LAN cable, replace with a good one.
No network connection
• Check if all the connection cable on the LAN ports are connected properly.
• Check if the Router connected to LAN port work in normal.
