INTRODUCTION
This User Manual applies to various versions of DCN-15A Analogue interface module
RMLT.465275.001 manufactured by Armtel LLC, and is intended to familiarize the User with
the device and the procedure for its operation at the installation site.
The DCN-15A module is a compact 15-channel converter of the E1 digital interface
into analog low-frequency communication lines and discrete control lines, for providing
communication with analog communication and signaling equipment as part of a distrib-
uted operational and technological communication system and DCN public addressing.
Short name of the product – DCN-15A.
Maintenance personnel for the DCN-15A shall be appointed by the management at
the installation site.
The maintenance personnel shall be required to know the operating procedure of the
DCN-15A to the extent provided for by the User Manual.
Duties of the maintenance personnel shall include maintenance of the DCN-15A in
accordance with this User Manual.

SAFETY PROVISIONS
During installation and operation of DCN-15A, observe the safety measures specified
by local regulations on electrical safety.
When using DCN-15A for its intended purpose, it is necessary to comply with the
safety requirements determined by the "Labor Protection Rules for the Operation of Elec-
trical Installations" when working with electrical receivers with voltage up to1000 V.
To avoid electric shock, do not:
−Operate the product without connection of its enclosure to a grounding bus;
−Operate the product with damaged power supply and interface cables;
−Connect or disconnect Interface cables when the power cable isn’t disconnect-
ed.
ATTENTION: NEVER DISASSEMBLE THE PRODUCT CONNECTED TO THE POWER SUP-
PLY!
Never operate the product in rooms with high humidity (above 80%) or in cases
where current-conducting dust exists.
In order to ensure fire safety, follow the rules:
−Before connecting the product to the power supply, ensure that the power ca-
ble is intact and properly insulated
−Protect the power and interface cables from damage.
