1.0 Introduction
Four ports added make more expansibility Repeater. The Repeater not only overcome the
4.5M length limited in 1394 standard for the user’s devices, it offers 4 independent 1394 bus
connections with 400Mbps transfer rate. With 4 ports in total, it gains expansibility in
connection methods and the capability of direct connecting with 1394 computer and consumer
devices. For corporate and heavy users, Repeater would be the best choice.
2.0 Features
Fully support provision of IEEE1394 for High-Performance Serial Bus and the P1394a
draft 2.0 standard.
Provide four fully compliant cables ports at 100/200/400Mbit/s and available with one,
two, three or four ports.
Fully compliant with Open HCI requirements.
Full P1394a additional function support.
Support LPS/link-on pin for PHY-link interface.
Encode and decode functions included for data-strobe bit level encoding.
Enables a PC to connect to other IEEE 1394 FireWire devices by hot-plugging hook-up.
Green LED for ready and Red LED for device connection status.

4.0 Installation
1. This repeater is a plug and play device, so it does not need any driver for working.
2. Take the 1394 cable which with this repeater to plug in 1394 port on your PC and the
other side to plug in any port on the repeater. And then connect your device in any port
on this repeater .The device is working after your connecting.
3. When you plug in the power or connect the 6/6 1394 cable with the computer and turn
on computer power, the Red LED will light up.
