SP001 Solar Water Pump Timer Kit Instructions

Assembly Steps:
1. Connect the bracket, tubes an spike together. Then attach the solar panel to the bracket. Sli e
the hol ing bracket into the insi e lip of the top half of the solar panel frame. The bracket hol s
the weight of the solar panel. The solar panel can be a juste for optimal sunlight by using the
wingnut. Please see the iagram.

2. Insert the spike into the groun . Position the solar panel so it’s facing south (in northern
hemisphere) as much as possible to maximize aylight hours. It is important to angle the solar
panel to face the sun when the sun is at its highest point. Ensure the solar panel is not sha e by
trees, shrubs or buil ings.
3. Slightly twist the pump plug, sli ing it into the pump socket. Then slightly twist the LED light
plug sli ing it into the light socket. Make sure the sealing rings are fully in the grooves. Your
solar pump is now rea y to use.
4. You can use an AC/DC a aptor (sol separately) to charge the batteries if optimal sunlight is not
available. Connect the a aptor DC plug into the charger socket.
Note: The LED light is esigne to work at night only
This ASC solar pump kit is esigne to run by Solar an Battery with 3-Hour Timer Mo e. This
mode works best if you want the pump run at the same time every day. Press [On/Off] button,
the pump will run for 3 hours an shut own (in stan by) for 21 hours. This setting will repeat
aily at the same time. You can reset the pump’s aily start up time by restarting it at a new
esire time.

BATTERY LIGHT:
•G een: Pump works normally
•Red: Battery is low; pump will shut off
•O ange: Battery is being charge by an AC a apter (sol separately)
Notes: It is recommen e to fully charge the battery before the first use by leaving the solar
panel in irect sunlight for at least 6 hours with power off.
5. PERFORMANCE OF THE PUMP
The performance of the pump epen s on the orientation of the solar panel towar s the sun
an the sunlight strength. In or er to achieve max performance, please make sure the panel is
facing in the irection of the sun. A solar panel positione in the sha e or in poor weather will
not maximize the charge. This mo els pump performance will epen on the battery power
level. The pump will not work if battery power is too low.
6. PUMP MAINTENANCE
If you fin the pump starts losing power or stops working, please clean the pump filter an
impeller with clean water.
7. BATTERY REPLACEMENT
If properly maintaine this solar pump has been esigne to run for many years. The NI-MH
battery pack oes have a limite life span an shoul be replace after 18-24 months of use.
To replace Battery Pack, please follow these steps:
a. Remove LED Light plug an pump plug from the solar panel
b. Remove the 6pcs screws from the solar panel

c. Disconnect the battery bracket connectors an replace the 4 ol batteries. Then,
reconnect the battery bracket.
8. TROUBLE SHOOTING
•Check to see if the solar panel, pump an le light are connecte properly.
•Check to see if the solar panel is correctly positione facing the sun. Please ensure the
solar panel is not in the sha e or obstructe by trees, shrubs or a buil ing.
•Check if battery re light is on. If so, this in icates that the battery power is low. Switch
off the pump an leave the solar panel charging in irect sunlight for at least 6 hours.
•Check water level an make sure the pump is fully submerge
•Check to see if the pump filter/impeller is blocke by ebris
•Check to see if the fountain tubing is blocke by kinks or obstructions
•Check the pump. It may be “air locke ”. Turn the pump on/off switch several times to
clear any air that may have been trappe .
9. WINTER PROTECTION
In oor storage is recommen e uring winter months. Normal operating temperature is
between 50 an 113 °F. In or er to keep your battery healthy uring long storage times, please
make sure the battery is fully recharge before storing.
