1. Remove the lower b-pillar trim. To do this, first, remove the rocker panel trims adjacent to the front
driver and mid-row passenger’s doors. Also, remove the seat belt.

2. Install the b pillar adapter (#EV-EXP18L-02)to the b pillar using the eight (8) provided pop rivets and
then install the pointed allen screw into the b pillar adapter.
NOTE: Drill slowly through the high strength steel using a 3/16 drill bit.
3. A ¾-inch hole will have to be drilled in the lower b pillar trim to be able to bolt the ASENTO to the b
pillar adaptor. Mark the hole to be drilled by partially installing the lower b pillar trim and hitting it
against the pointed allen screw to mark it for drilling. Remove the pointed allen screw after. Then drill a ¾
inch hole.

4. Run the power from the battery to the ASENTO. To do this, thread the red power cable (+) under the
doorstep moulding and through the firewall. Make sure you pass through a grommet in the firewall to
prevent the cable from chaffing. Install the circuit breaker near the battery and then connect the battery
to the circuit breaker. Attach the black ground wire (-) to the vehicle’s frame, under the doorstep
moulding using a self-tapping screw. Locate a spot where the sheet metal is doubled-up to ensure a
proper ground.
5. Remove the rear right hand seat mounting bolt, and also, unplug and remove the seat belt pre-
tensioner.

6. Remove the bolt holding the seat belt roller, and install the ASENTO floor adapter (#EV-EXP18L-01)
use the two provided 10x1.5x40 mm bolts for the seat belt roller, and to bolt the floor bracket to the b
pillar. Use the OEM bolt at the seat floor mounting point.
7. The seat belt pre-tensioner wire will have to be un-taped to be able to extend the plug, install the
provided loom over the wire.

8. The lower part of the b pillar trim will have to be modified using the provided stencils to cut and remove
some parts to allow fitment of the ASENTO. Also, remove the rubber seat belt cover and install the
provided plug into the hole. Install the provided stencils onto the trim and cut as indicated. NOTE:
Photos are for right hand side trim, but the procedure is the same for the left hand side.

9. Reinstall the trim.

10. Remove the left hand side seat trim. Unclip the seat trim wiring at the front.
11. Remove the seat control switch module from the trim and install the provided blanc to cover the holes.
Use the provided metal clips to hold in place. NOTE: The switches will be relocated to the front of the
seat.

12. The seat trim will have to be cut and modified, and the provided replacement trim (#EV-EXP18LB-07)
installed onto the seat trim. Mark and cut as per the photos.

13. Install the provided trim (#EV-EXP18RB-07) onto the seat trim, drill out the holes and install the five
trim clips, cut of the point of the trim clips once installed.
14. Install the seat switch control module onto the provided adapter (#EV-EXP18L-06) using the four
provided machine screws and lock nuts. Then reconnect the wiring plug to the switch.
15. Under the front of the seat, cut off on both sides the plastic trim clips that protrude through the seat
pan.

16. Install the seat switch bracket (#EV-EXP18L-06) at the front of the seat, use the two provided trim clips
to push into the corresponding holes on the seat base pan. Use zip ties run around he round bar and
through the holes on the seat switch bracket and at the same time hold the wring from the connector.
17. Reinstall the modified seat trim.

18. Install the ASENTO to the floor bracket using the 3/8X16X1’’1/4 bolt and to the b pillar using the 3/8
button head bolts and adapter (#EV-EXP18L-04).
19. Slide the seat belt pre-tensioner into the slot on the floor bracket and reconnect, attach the wire to the
floor bracket with a zip tie.

20. Install the rubber seat belt protector removed from the b pillar trim and install it on to the seat belt
bracket (#EV-EXP18L-03). Mount the bracket on to the floor bracket and pre-tensioner. Use the OEM
bolt and the 10mm nut provided. Reattach the seat belt, attach the rubber with zip ties.
21. Install the transfer board onto the ASENTO by sidling it onto the round rod, use a little grease on the
rod.
