●Where possible, the OMNI 3 should be kept in a clean environment away from dirt, dust, oil and
debris which could affect performance or degrade the system’s mechanical and electronic parts.
If a clean environment is not available, the OMNI 3 should be kept as clean and protected as is
possible. In harsh environments, cover the OMNI 3 with plastic when not in use.
●External surfaces can be wiped down with a clean, water moistened lint-free cloth (not wet).
Never wipe down with acetone or other harsh solvents that may damage surfaces.
●Cleaning Optics: Do not touch lens surfaces with your fingertips, as the resulting fingerprints
may destroy optical coatings over time. Only clean optical surfaces with proper cleaning
supplies, and only when necessary. If the lens is covered with loose dust, first try blowing off
this dust using a can of optical grade (oil-free) canned compressed air. Be careful not to shake
the can, or propellant may blow onto the lens. As an alternative, use a lens brush to gently wipe
off the dust. If the lens is soiled with greasy deposits which cannot be blown or brushed off, use
alcohol based commercial lens cleaner and a lens tissue or a lens cloth. Apply the lens cleaner
generously to dissolve grease, and then blot off the lens cleaner and dissolved grease using
minimum motion. Avoid rubbing the lens, since hard particles from deposits or the lens cloth
could scratch the optical coatings. Where lens contamination is unavoidable, consider adding
●Cleaning Mechanical parts: To ensure a long, trouble-free service life, wipe down the system
regularly to remove any dust or dirt from the stand. Should the focus block seize or require
tightening, please contact your Ash representative.
●The ringlight can be removed to gain access to the +5 Lens for cleaning by pressing the release
button at the back and pulling the ringlight down away from the OMNI 3 head.
•Indoor use only
