The Guide of Installing Bracket and Extend Board
for M.2 2280 SSD
Model: 4x4 R1000 and iBox-R1000
Requirements: ASRI Extend Board, M.2 2280 bracket and screw accessory
How to Install the Bracket
Please refer to the following steps to install the bracket for M.2 2280 SSD.
1. Unlock the hex head screw from the motherboard.

2. Put the bracket at the following location.
3. Use the screw to lock the bracket.

4. Install M.2 2280 SSD into the slot.
5. Tighten the screw with a screwdriver to secure the M.2 2280 SSD into place.

6. The M.2 2280 SSD is installed successfully.

How to Install the Extend Board
Extend Board is for extending the rear I/O to the case once M.2 2280 SSD is
installed, and there are 4 items in an Extend Board Kit.
Extend Board
USB3.1 cable
Audio cable
USB2.0 cable
Please refer to the following steps to install the Extend Board.
1. Connect the USB3.1 cable between the USB3.1 port on the Extend Board and
your motherboard.

2. Connect the Audio cable between the AUDIO1 header on the Extend Board and
the AUDIO Jack on the motherboard.
*Please notice the direction of the AUDIO1 connector. The green line should be
closest to the USB3_1_2 ports.

3. Connect the USB2.0 cable between the USB2.0 header on the Extend Board and
your motherboard.
After finishing the steps as above, the needed cables for the Extend Board are
connected successfully.

Note:
After installing the M.2 2280 SSD, the onboard LPC header won’t be used.
