Instructions for ATEX usage
General usage
The safety measures and the apparatuses used on the Socket
outlet and plugs series FSCQ - FP installation, use and
maintenance place must follow the specific instructions
described in this manual and the applicable equipment rules
(equipment basic rule CEI 64-8 and/or those of the installation
location). It must also follow the additional rules EN 60079-14
and EN 60079-17 for hazardous locations with explosion
danger due to the presence of gas for what concerns
installation and tests and IEC 60079-19 for what concerns the
maintenance and repair (unless otherwise indicated).
Istruzioni per l’uso ATEX
Generalità
Le misure di sicurezza e le apparecchiature utilizzate sul posto
d’installazione, esercizio e manutenzione delle prese e delle
spine serie FSCQ - FP devono seguire le istruzioni specifiche
contenute in questo manuale e le norme impiantistiche
applicabili (norma base impiantistica CEI 64-8 e/o quella del
luogo d’installazione) e quelle aggiuntive nei luoghi con
pericolo d’esplosione per la presenza di gas EN 60079-14 ed
EN 60079-17, per quanto riguarda le installazioni e le verifiche,
e la IEC 60079-19 per quanto riguarda la manutenzione e
riparazione (salvo diversamente specificato).
Usage
These rules are applied to the Socket outlet and plugs series
FSCQ - FP with the following described features.
The apparatus have been studied and manufactured following
the regulations of the European rules EN 50014, EN 50018 and
in conformity to the ATEX Directive 94/9/CE. These instructions
have been conceived for technical users who have already a
background of technical experience on the use and start-up of
electrical machinery and equipment in places with explosion
danger, and have been already trained and informed
accordingly.
Applicabilità
Queste regole si applicano alle prese e delle spine serie FSCQ
- FP con le caratteristiche descritte nel seguito.
Le apparecchiature sono state progettate e realizzate secondo
le prescrizioni delle norme europee EN 50014, EN 50018, e in
conformità alla Direttiva ATEX 94/9/CE. Queste istruzioni sono
state concepite per installatori ed utilizzatori aventi già
esperienza tecnica di base sull’utilizzo e la messa in servizio
d’impianti e macchinario elettrico in luogo con pericolo
d’esplosione ed essendone stati idoneamente formati ed
informati.
Instructions Manual
These instructions are supplied complete with drawing of
dimensions and engineering, technical datas necessary to
perfom a correct installation and connection. Refer to the same
for detailed instructions.
Documentazione d’uso
Queste istruzioni sono corredate da disegno d’ingombro ed
ingegneria, compresi i dati tecnici necessari per effettuare
l’installazione correttamente ed in collegamento. Riferirsi
pertanto ad essi per le istruzioni relative.
Usage Limitation
The socket outlet and plugs series FSCQ - FP are
manufactured in accordance to EEx d IIC T6. The protection
level covering every single apparatus is indicated on the
certification and rating. Furthermore, they have a protection
degree IP55, in accordance with the features showed in the
specific certificate.
The limit temperature of usage is T6 that is to say ≤85°C.
Limiti di utilizzo
Le prese e le spine serie FSCQ - FP sono realizzate secondo il
modo di protezione EEx d IIC T6. Il modo di protezione relativo
ad ogni singola apparecchiatura è riportato sulla targa dati e di
certificazione. Inoltre sono dotate di un grado di protezione
IP55, rispettando le caratteristiche indicate nel relativo
certificato.
La temperatura limite d’utilizzo è di T6 vale a dire ≤85°C.
Rating and ATEX marking
All the apparatus series FSCQ and FP are provided of indelible
and enduring plates, fixed to the body of the containers. The
plates show the following datas:
-Container usage;
-Name and address of the manufacturer;
-Series indication and type; FSC o FP followed by the
numeric code composed by number of poles and
max courent;
-Lot/year of manufacturing;
-Voltage, current and frequency.
The plate shows also the following ATEX marking:
-EEx d IIC T6 category II 2 G;
-Authority reference for the check-up;
-Number of the certificate;
Indicating the apparatus serie FSCQ and FP ove mentioned
informations, AD Viganò certifies under its responsibility that
the containers are manufactured at a “state of art” for what
concerns safety, and are in accordance to applicable CE
Directives and that verifications and individual tests, as
required, and indicated on the components certificates have
been carried out with positive result.
Targa dati e marcatura ATEX
Le apparecchiature della serie FSCQ e FP sono dotate di
targhe indelebili e durevoli, fissate al corpo della cassetta. La
targa riporta i seguenti dati:
-Destinazione d’uso della custodia
-Nome ed indirizzo del fabbricante;
-Indicazione della serie e del tipo; FSC o FP
seguita dal codice numerico composto da n°
poli e portata max ampere.
-Lotto/anno di costruzione;
-Tensione, corrente e frequenza;
La targa riporta la seguente marcatura ATEX:
-EEx d IIC T6 categoria II 2 G
-Numero dell’organismo incaricato della
sorveglianza;
-Il numero di certificato;
Contrassegnando le apparecchiature serie FSCQ e FP con gli
elementi sopraccitati, AD Viganò attesta sotto la propria
responsabilità, che le custodie sono state costruite a regola
d’arte quanto concerne la sicurezza, che sono conformi alle
Direttive CE applicabili e che le verifiche e prove individuali
prescritte ed indicate sul certificato del componente, sono state
eseguite con esito positivo.
Installation places
The apparatus series FSCQ and FP are to be considered
group II electrical construction which are intended to be used
on surface plants assign to places classified Zone 1 or Zone 2
in accordance to EN 60079-10 and IEC 61241-10.21.
The socket-outlets can be mounted on in all the positions, they
cannot be used on mobile unity (fuel truck, vehicles in
general).
Installers and users are always responsible for the accordance
on the characteristics of the places where installed the
equipments and to the limits as above.
Luoghi d’installazione
Le apparecchiature serie FSCQ e FP sono da considerarsi
costruzioni elettriche del gruppo II quindi destinate ad essere
utilizzate in impianti di superficie, sono destinate in luoghi
classificati come Zona 1 o Zona 2 secondo le norme EN
60079-10 ed IEC 61241-10.21.
Le prese possono essere montate in tutte le posizioni, non
possono essere utilizzate su unità mobili (autocisterne, veicoli
in generale).
L’installatore e l’utilizzatore sono sempre responsabili della
rispondenza delle caratteristiche dei luoghi d’installazione ai
limiti ed alle caratteristiche di cui sopra.

Manufacturing characteristics and rules.
The interlock socket outlet series FSCQ are made of a body to
the inside there is a circuit breaker (the type FSCQ-363 also
with fuses), is not possible to insert in the socket outlet, plugs
of different type or with different electric characteristics, the
command of the circuit breaker inside the socket outlet can
make only when the plug is completely inserted and through
the rotation of it.
Caratteristiche e disposizioni costruttive.
Le prese serie FSCQ sono costituite da un corpo che contiene
il sezionatore (più fusibili nella FSCQ-363) la presa è di tipo
interbloccato , non è possibile inserire nella presa spine di
diverso tipo o con diverse caratteristiche elettriche, il comando
del sezionatore all'interno della presa può avvenire solo
quando la spina è completamente inserita e attraverso la
rotazione di essa.

PER INSERIRE LA SPINA – TO INSERT PLUG
1- Togliere il coperchio di chiusura A ruotandolo in senso antiorario
Turn in anti-clockwise direction the cover A
2- Inserire la spina nella presa facendo attenzione ad allineare i riferimenti B, ruotare leggermente in senso
antiorario la spina per agevolare il completo inserimento, ruotare la spina di 90° in senso orario per
commutare il sezionatore.

PER ESTRARRE LA SPINA – TO REMOVE THE PLUG
Effettuare le precedenti operazioni 2-3 in senso inverso
Repeat in opposite direction the precedent 2-3 operations
Before insert the plug in the socket verify that
the joints connection are clean, attention to
not damage the contact surface between
sochet and plug, for not change the
connection joint.
Every time that the plug is extracted by the
socket, to reposition the closing cover, to
assure the EEx d protection of the socket.
Prima di inserire la spina nella presa verificare
la pulizia dei giunti di accoppiamento,
attenzione a non danneggiare le superfici di
contatto tra presa e spina, per non alterare il
giunto di accoppiamento.
Ogni volta che si estrae la spina dalla presa,
riposizionare il coperchio di chiusura per
garantire la protezione EEx d della presa.

Cable Entery:
to desheath the armoured cable making
reference to the lengths recommended, see the
figure.
To unscrew the pins from the connector of the
plug (to pay attention to the position of the male
and female pins B - C otherwise the plug is not
inserted in the socket), to solder the wires to the
inserts hexagonal Á.,
to insert the cable gland and to screw it to the
plug body, to insert the hexagonal inserts in the
seat of the connector (to pay attention to the
yellow-green wire must be insert in the seat
identified by the earth symbol), to insert the
connector in the plug and to screw the pins B - C
to look the connector with the screw D.
Entrata cavo:
Denudare il cavo armato facendo riferimento alle
lunghezze consigliate in figura.
Svitare gli spinotti dal frutto della spina (fare
attenzione alla posizione degli spinotti maschi e
femmina
B – C altrimenti la spina non si inserisce nella
presa), saldare i fili agli inserti esagonali A,
inserire il pressacavo e avvitarlo al corpo spina,
posizionare gli inserti esagonali nella sede del
frutto (facendo attenzione al conduttore giallo-
verde che deve essere inserito nella sede
contraddistinta dal simbolo di terra), inserire il
frutto nella presa e avvitare gli spinotti B – C
bloccare il frutto con la vite D.
Conduit Entery:
To remove the connector from the plug, to insert
the wires through the sealing joint of and to make
to escape them from the plug body, to solder the
wires to the inserts hexagonal Á, to reassemble
the connector to the plug and process to the
sealing of the wires.
Entrata tubo:
Togliere il frutto dalla spina, inserire i cavi
attraverso il giunto di sigillatura e farli fuoriuscire
dal corpo della spina, saldare i cavi all'inserto
esagonale A, rimontare il frutto alla spina e
procedere alla sigillatura del giunto.
