1.0 INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing Atilze Sensor Hub. The Sensor Hub is easy to be used and
this manual contains all the information you need to start using your Sensor Hub.
This product is designed for rapid Internet-of-Things (IoT) deployment. It is fully
customizable with open IoT hardware platform, ready to support a wide range of
implementations and industries.

2.0 GENERAL & SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read this section carefully before using the Sensor Hub.
General
•Please read carefully through the document “General Conditions of Atilze
Sale and Use”.
•DO NOT remove any of the connectors from Sensor Hub when the main
power is on.
•DO NOT let the electronic parts come into contact with metallic object (steel)
to avoid damage to the Sensor Hub.
•DO NOT submerge the device in any liquid.
•DO NOT expose the device with any liquid that might spill and exposed keep
in a dry place.
•Handle the device with care and avoid hitting or scratching anyof the surface.
•Keep the Sensor Hub within temperature range indicated in the
recommendation section.
•Check the product specification for maximum allowed power rating and use
only power rating stated in the “Sensor Hub specification”. Atilze will not be
responsible for any damage caused by using device other than supplied by
Atilze.
•DO NOT connect or power the device with damaged cables or batteries.
•There are no user serviceable parts. Please contact your reseller if hardware
or software failures occurs.
•The Sensor Hub should be mounted in protective enclosure to protect it from
environmental conditions such as humidity, light, dust or sudden change in
temperature.
•DO NOT place the Sensor Hub where it could be exposed to shocks.
•Please connect sensors and power source according to the diagram in each
application section.
•DO NOT connect or disconnect any connector while the Sensor Hub is
powered ON. The Sensor Hub can become unstable or the internal circuitry
can be damaged.

•Atilze Sensor Hub is not designed to be placed in harsh environmental
conditions, under dangerous chemical elements, explosive atmospheres with
flammable gases, high voltage installations or special installations.
Power Supply (Adapter/Solar/Battery)
•Do not use the AC-DC adapter/solar power supply if the unit or power supply
cord is damaged. Switch off the power supply and unplug the power cord
immediately.
•Plug the power supply into appropriate voltage outlet.
•Fully insert the socket and lock the power plug.
•When handling the power cord, please observe the following:
➢Do not damage it.
➢Do not twist it.
➢Do not break it.
➢Do not bend or pull it forcibly.
•Do not insert or connect the power supply with their polarities incorrectly
aligned.

3.0 CONDITIONS OF USE
General:
•Read carefully the “General and Safety Information” section and keep the
manual for future reference.
•Read carefully the “General Conditions of Sale and Use of Atilze” document.
•Do not place the Sensor Hub in contact with metallic surface as it could cause
short-circuits which will permanently damage it.
•The Sensor Hub should be used with the included enclosure to protect it from
the sun, humidity and other environmental elements. The enclosure must have
a minimum IP-65 rating if it were to be replaced.
Specific:
•Button and jumpers: Handle them with care. Do not use excessive force when
pressing the buttons or installing the jumpers.
•Battery: Only use the original lithium battery provided with the Sensor Hub.
•Power source connection: Always make sure the polarity is correct.
•XBee module connection: Sensor Hub allows the connection of XBee module
and always observe the orientation of the connector.
•Other devices connection: Only use the original device provided by Atilze.
•Antenna connection: Connect using the correct type of antenna provided by
Atilze.
•Voltage adapter: To power and charge the Sensor Hub battery,use onlyoriginal
accessories provided by Atilze.

4.0 FEATURES

The Sensor Hub LEDs are:
•Battery charging LED indicator: A yellow LED to indicate battery connected to
Sensor Hub is being charged.
•5V LED indicator: A green LED to indicate 5V output voltage.
•3.3V LED indicator: A green LED to indicate 3.3V output voltage.
•Power LED indicator: A green LED to indicate power supply in sensor hub is
switched on.
•1.8V LED indicator: A green LED to indicate 1.8V output voltage is available.
•LED0 (programmable LED): A red LED is controlled by the microcontroller. It
is totally programmable by the user in the firmware. By default, this LED is to
indicate data transmission.
•LED1 (programmable LED): A green LED is controlled by the microcontroller.
It is totally programmable by the user in the firmware.
•LED2 (programmable LED): A blue LED is controlled by the microcontroller. It
is totally programmable by the user in the firmware. By default, this LED is to
indicate 3G connectivity.

6.0 CONNECTOR
All sensing capabilities of Sensor Hub are provided by using the sensor probes. Each
sensor probe can be easily connected to a sensor. The standard length of a sensor
probe is about 150 mm, including waterproof connector, but it could vary due to
sensors dimensions. The sensor probes come in either 3 or 6 pins connector.
Sensor can be easily attached to sensor probes byscrewing them into the socket. This
allows user to add or change the sensing capabilities just in minutes.

Each socket has its own protective cap. Please make sure that the protective cap is
screwed tightly when not in used. This is to protect the connector sockets.

7.0 SOLAR POWERED
The solar panel is mounted on a bracket with an optimized angle to ensure
maximum performance of each outdoor installation. The rechargeable battery
has a load of 3400 mAh to ensure continues working time throughout the night.

8.0 SMART AGRICULTURE KIT
The Smart Agriculture models allow to monitor multiple environmental parameters
involving a wide range of applications. It has been provided with sensors for Soil EC,
Moisture, pH sensor, air temperature and humidity.
The main applications for this Sensor Hub model are precision agriculture, irrigation
systems, weather stations, etc.
