1. INTENDED USE
The maximum level sensor LD-1 should be used only to control the maximum state of a given medium in a tank or other vessel.
Due to the variety of physical and chemical parameters of the liquid which could be monitored , the material is selected individually
by SWIMER specialists.
Using the device for purposes other than those listed above will be considered as not in accordance with their intended purpose,
which will invalidate the warranty.
Strict adherence to the manufacturer's recommendations regarding the sensor maintenance and repair is also an integral part of
the requirement to use it as intended.
WARNING!
Do not use the sensor inconsistently with its intended use.

2.SAFETY RULES
Depending on the type of liquid stored in the tank, the leakage of which will be monitored by the sensor, when handling the
sensor, use appropriate protective clothing and personal protective equipment, in accordance with the manufacturer's safety data
sheet.
The housing should be always unscrewed by the appropriate screwdriver. Be careful not to injure yourself with the bit of the
screwdriver or the screw.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
The basic source of information about hazardous material is its Material Safety Data Sheet. It should be requested
from the manufacturer of the medium.

5.OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The LD-1 maximum level sensor is designed to inform the user when the liquid in the storage tank reaches the maximum value. In
order to fulfill its function, it must be placed in the storage tank for a given medium as shown in the figure below (Fig. 5). The
maximum level is determined by the manufacturer of the particular vessel or storage vessel.
Rys. 5. Schematic drawing of the maximum level sensor location.
Before the first start-up, check the battery condition. The battery status is indicated by a flashing green diode (Fig. 6). The charge
level is determined by the number of LED blinks: 3 - charged battery, 2 - moderately charged battery, 1 - low charge. When the
battery is low, it is recommended to replace the battery.

Then the user has to check by pressing the test button (by pressing for about 5 seconds) whether the device is in working order.
The correct operation is confirmed by an acoustic signal and a diode that indicates contact with the liquid, as shown in the figure
below. (Fig. 7).
Fig. 7. Test of the device
Finally, put the sensor into a vessel with water or rotate it by 180 degrees and confirm the correct operation of the sensor itself.
In this case, after a short period of time (a few seconds), an alarm should sound and the LED of the associated sensor must light
up (Fig. 8). We can silence the sound signal by pressing the TEST button. The red light will stay on until the sensor float returns to
its original position.
Fig. 8. View when the alarm is triggered when the maximum level is exceeded.
When the maximum level is exceeded, the sensor switches on automatically.
If the sensor wires are short-circuited, the red LED will flash. In order to eliminate the problem, contact the manufacturer's
service.

6.MAINTENANCE
Every week:
1. Check the condition of the batteries. In the event of the green LED blinking once, it is recommended to replace the batteries
(3x1.5V).
Every six months:
1. Test the device by holding down the test button.
2. Check if the sensor tip is dirty. If dirty, clean it dry with water or a mild detergent (see the safety data sheet before cleaning).
3 Verify sensor performance by immersion test or rotating the sensor 180˚.
