slide carburetor
that
hasbeencarefully
calibrated
at
thefactory.
In mostcases
no fur-
ther
adjustmentwill
berequired.
The condition
of the air filteris
importantto the operation
of the
edger.
A dirtyairfilterwillrestrict
theairflow,which
upsetsthe
fuel-
airmixtureinthecarburettor.
The
resulting
symptomsare
often
mis-
taken
foranout-of-adjustment
car-
burettor.
Therefore.check
thecon-
ditionof
theairfilter
beforeadjust-
ing
thecarburettor.
lfthefollowing
conditions
areexpe-
rienced,
it may be necessary
to
adjustthecarburettor:
o Themotor
willnotidle.
. The
motorhesitatesorstallson
acceleration.
. Thelossofmotor
power
thatis
notcorrected
by cleaningthe
airfilter
andmuffler.
