Stretch cords and straps are not toys – keep out of reach of children at all
times.
Always wear eye protection that meets or exceeds current revision of
A.N.S.I. safety standard 287.1 for impact resistance.
Inspect cords and straps before each use. Do not use cords that are frayed,
cut, damaged or have bent or deformed hooks or crimps.
Do not alter cords in any manner. Use cords only in a manner for which they
were designed.
Use common sense when using stretch cords. Do not use stretch cords
to hold such items on moving vehicles as luggage, surfboards, plywood or
any item that may cause an “airplane” effect which would cause the cord to
fail. If in doubt about safety, use other means of fastening.
Do not stretch any cord beyond 50% of its unstretched length.
Never position yourself or any other person in a direct path while using a
stretch cord. Person should always be positioned to one side or the other of
the cord to avoid being struck by a rebounding cord or hook.
Do not use cords or straps around sharp or abrasive edges or corners which
could cause cord damage which could result in personal injury.
Do not anchor a hook with its tip. Always attach the hook loop center securely
to a solid inflexible object.
Always disconnect any electric power source before using cords on or around
conductive metal. Cords are not insulated from shock or electrocution.
Do not use stretch cords or straps to hold or restrain human or animal weight
in any manner.
When not in use store cords in a safe dry environment out of the reach of
children.
Please always use stretch cords and straps safely and with good judgment.
