This document was developed to provide the data required for an optimized and secure use of your grinder Au
Tour du Béton SH270M. This notice is not in any case a service manual substitute for the expertise of a
professional technical maintenance of this equipment.
This manual should be available to anyone who might use or service this machine.
This information is intended to familiarize you with your new grinder knowing the important points such as the

2.2. TERMS OF USE ENVIRONMENT
The range of use of the grinder SH270M is between 5 and 35°C. Do not use this machine in the rain or snow
which could deteriorate your grinder but most of all prejudice your safety. Check that the work area is
adequately ventilated and a vacuum cleaner allows absorption of sufficient dust to preserve your health.
This is even more important in the highly regulated part of the work in asbestos-laden environment or harmful
particles.
The validation and test of the product which result from technical information and performance of your grinder
SH270M are reinforced by a marking and declaration of conformity manufacturer .
2.3. POWER SUPPLY
Check that the voltage and power correspond to the needs of your grinder. An indicative plate is located on
the machine. An error in energy intake may damage your machine and compromise your security.

2.6. NOISE EMISSION
The noise emission of your grinder SH270M are within guidelines and harmonized standards of the European
Union when used with recommended and in normal tools. However, the operator must wear ear protections.

3. THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
3.1. General recommendations
This machine is designed for you as part of a specific use. It is important to use this machine ONLY
for the functions for which it is sold. It can be used as part of renovation work even in intensive
situation in dry work as well as wet. It is important to use an efficient dust extraction system contact
your dealer or the company Autour du Béton if you wish information on this point.
3.2. Case of non-exhaustive PROHIBITED uses
This equipment is designed by the company Au Tour du Béton for specific operations and cases
below should be avoided:
•Use outside of the technical functions of this type of machine
•Work on unsuitable materials or non-validated by the manufacturer
•Tools without contact with the ground (important risk cutting tools stall)
•Uses:
- In an environment with risk of explosion or electrocution
- In contact with a medium loaded with powder or petroleum substances
- In a work area where the risk of fire is present
- In adverse conditions (rain, snow, slope...)
- In an atmosphere with electromagnetic radiation
3.3. Preparing the machine for work
To work with your grinder SH270M in safe conditions, please check the following points prior to any
start:
•The work area is closed and restricted to authorized persons only
•The tools are properly mounted
•The interlocks (V1 and V2) of the arm are in place
•There is no missing or loose parts on the machine
•The machine is in the correct working position -vertical and two wheels on the ground
•The safety devices are in position
•The power supply and suction elements are correctly coupled and are assured of moving
smoothly during work
•The lighting is adequate

3.4. Protective elements
Your SH270M grinder is equipped with safety devices some of which are accessible to the user
such that:
- An emergency stop button
- A dust shroud isolating the work area so the rotating assembly tools that could result in
serious injury from tears or cuts
Be sure to check them regularly and to call a technician immediately if their functional integrity
were to be questioned.
3.5. Safe use
Your SH270M grinder is designed to eliminate any risk of injury in correlation with its use. However, it is not
possible to prevent all possible accidents during the use of this type of machine by non-trained or non fit
operators.
To reduce the consequences of these accidents, we thank you to follow the instructions reported in this
manual at any time.

4. OPERATION OF THE MACHINE
Before using your grinder SH270M, thank you for checking that:
•The general state of the machine is correct and in accordance with this document
•The work area is clear of any object that can be projected
•Electrical connections and suction are shuttered properly (take care to inspect their good
condition)
•The safety devices are in place
•The rules of paragraph 3.3 are applied
•The two clamping plates are in place on each side of the machine
•Teflon inserts of the two flanges bear against the frame of the machine. If they do not, use the
supplied wrench and tighten the flangesuntil the teflons bear against the frame
4.1. Startup and shutdown
•Emergency stop button activated
•Connect the power plug
•When the work can begin, release the emergency stop
•Press the start button, taking care to hold the handlebars
•Check that the tools rotate in the clockwise direction (viewed from above)
•When completing work, switch off the machine via the emergency stop button
4.2. After completion of work
To ensure your grinder SH270M a long service life and maintenance in optimum working condition, it is
important to take care of the cleanliness and ensure systematic control of your machine.
4.3. Personal Protective Equipment
We remind you that the use of this machine requires to provide the user a minimum protective equipment.
Indeed, this type of tool can be dangerous for the user in some cases. It is therefore essential to respect the
current regulations.
In general, (except specific cases) the protective equipment is composed of:
•Safety helmet
•Safety glasses
•Protective earwear
•Work gloves
•Protective footwear
•Suitable work clothing

4.4. Transport of the SH270M
For easy transport of the SH270M, we recommend the use of two transport rods supplied with the machine.
An operator will stand at the handlebar and a second operator will stand in front of the machine with the two
rods. By doing so, the machine will be moved safely and easily.
It is also possible to remove the engine to reduce the weight of the machine during transportation. To do so,
loosen the two clamping flanges using the spanner wrench and lift the handlebars while stepping back (during
the entire operation the engine will remain supported against the floor). The engine will come out easily and
safely from the slot. Only one person is needed for this operation. Do not attempt to lift the motor by hand or
this could result in hand or back injury.
For engine disassembly of the frame = 1 operator = absolute security!
5. MAINTENANCE OF YOUR GRINDING
Your grinder SH270M requires no special maintenance but general clean out of all the elements. For your
safety, electrical and mechanical rotating parts, shall not be verified, maintained, replaced and / or repaired
outside an approved workshop or at Au Tour du Béton. Any operation on these parts may result in damage to
your machine and, more seriously, cause injuries to operators.
In addition, the warranty will be invalid if these ruleswere to be overridden.
It is strongly advised to check the status of your machine any maximum 150 h by a specialist of Au
Tour du Béton.

6. ORDER SPARE PARTS
In order to serve you, Au Tour du Béton is available to answer your request in terms of spare parts,
consumables and tools through your dealer (place of purchase) or directly from us (see details in this
document).
7. GUARANTEE AGREEMENT
The company guarantees Au Tour du Béton production from the point of its own added value and its qualified
suppliers. However, if you detect an anomaly on the product we have provided, we recall the guarantee
clauses.
In the context of a defect turned out, that is to say that the machine does not fulfill its prerogatives, the
company Au Tour du Béton will maintain a warranty according to the standards.
1. Au Tour du Béton guarantees equipment sold and supplied by him against defects and workmanship
and operation, they come from a defect in design , materials , manufacturing, delivery and that under
the conditions and within the following limits:
2. Warranty is applicable only if the buyer has satisfied the general obligations of this contract and, in
particular, the terms of payment.
3. The warranty is strictly limited to material sold by Au Tour du Béton. It does not extend to equipment
in which the material would not be sold by the company incorporated Au Tour du Béton and, in
particular, the performance of the equipment.
4. Where supplies are incorporated by the purchaser or a third party, any equipment, they are solely
responsible for the adaptation, selection and adequacy as a result. Warranty is not granted especially
when mounting defect, adaptation, design, relationship and functioning of the whole or parts of the
assembly thus created.
5. The duration of the guarantee is equal to the lesser of two periods: twelve (12) months or three
hundred (300) hours of operation, and that the date of commissioning of the equipment supplied by
the company Au Tour du Béton. The commissioning must be carried out within a maximum period of
three months after the equipment available to the buyer the seller's premises. At the company Au Tour
du Béton is entitled to require the buyer justification from the date of commissioning indicated on the
warranty claim. This period is neither extended nor interrupted by the court or judicial claims of the
buyer. At the end of that period, the warranty expires by law.
6. The obligation of the company guaranteed Au Tour du Béton will not play if the buyer establishes that
the vice manifested itself in terms of employment normally provided for the type of supply, or indicated
by the provider writing, and during normal use. It does not apply in case of improper storage and
incorrect use, negligence, carelessness, lack of supervision or maintenance, non-compliance with
prescription instructions or employment, use of non-recommended tools. The guarantee is also
excluded for incidents resulting from fortuitous cases or force majeure, as well as for damage,
replacements or repairs resulting from normal wear and tear.
7. The warranty is limited to the obligation to rehabilitate in the workshops of Au Tour du Béton, at its
expense and in the shortest possible time, materials and parts supplied by him, faulty by its technical
services , and are being sent to them free. During the warranty period, remain dependent and client
fees, costs of labor, dismantling and reassembly of equipment outside the institutions of Au Tour du
Béton defective material transfer fees or those of equipment replaced or repaired, the travel and stay
of technicians of the buyer.
Where guarantees are given as to industrial results of a given material, the definition of these results
and consequences of this commitment will be the subject of a special agreement between the parties
prior to the order.

8. In order to claim the benefit of the warranty the purchaser must notify the company Au Tour du Béton
within three days, and in writing, of the defects attributed to the equipment, and provide any
justification as to the reality of these ones. It must give the seller every opportunity to make a finding
of defects and to remedy them. The guarantee does not apply if equipment is not returned to the seller
in the state where it is broken down, or if it has been previously unsealed, dismantled , repaired,
modified, or by a third party or by the user or buyer. After having been duly notified of the defect in its
equipment, the seller will remedy the defect in the shortest time possible, reserving, where applicable,
the right to modify all or part of the material in order to meet its obligations.
9. The buyer expressly agrees that the seller is not liable for damage caused by the fact that the buyer
has not fulfilled any of the obligations as defined above.
10. Responsibility of Au Tour du Béton limited to this warranty. The amount of the guarantee is limited to
the price of the relevant supply controlled society Au Tour du Béton and can not extend beyond
including damages resulting from the unavailability of the use of the material object of the contract or
consequential losses or not.
In accordance with Article 1386-15 of the Civil Code -is obtained from Law No. 98-383 of 19 May 1998 -
transposing Directive 85/374 of 25 July 1985 concerning liability for defective products, it is agreed that the
company Au Tour du Béton will not incur any liability in respect of the said Act, except in regard to offenses
against the person.
