Thank you for your purchase of theAudex
STB-2812 Compact Stereo System, a portable
and wireless hi-fi device that’s perfect for playing
all your MP3/MP4 music files. Easyto connect and
easy to use, it provides bigsound from a small
package. And with 20 hours ofplaying time from
just 4 AA batteries, you don’t have to worry
about recharging or wires.

on operation, performance and safety.

3. 5V DC power adaptor
Attention: Always switch off the speaker system
when not in use to save batterypower.
The unit will function for approximately20 hrs.
on 4 AA alkaline batteries.

Note: The STB-2812 must connect withan audio
source that supports streaming stereo sound.Some
newer devices have this function built-in(PCs, mobile
phones). However, for older devices you must use an
accessory adapter, usually connected to the USBport.
This is not included with theSTB-2812.
Pairing with the stereo adapter
Place the STB-2812 and the adapter within30cm of each
other and follow these steps:
1. Press the main power button,which will turn
on the unit and extend the speakersfrom the base.
2. Press and hold the pairingbutton for about 5
seconds. The blue LED will blinkquickly. This
means the speaker is in pairingmode
3. When the blue LED flashesslowly, this means the
pairing is successful.
4. The audio can now be transferedfrom the audio source
to the compact speaker system.

Volume Control
Adjust the volume by pressing “Vol+” or “Vol-“ button.
LED Lights
1. When the blue LED isblinking quickly,
this means the STB-2812 is in pairingmode.
2. When the blue LED isblinking slowly,
this means the pairing is completed.
3. When the red LED flashes,this means the
battery power is low. The batteries must be
replaced or the unit charged viathe accessory
power source (AC adapter or USB port).

Pairing with an additional device
The Audex STB-2812 can store pairing
information for up to eight different devicesat a time.
The device IDs are stored inthe order they were created.
If a new device is addedafter the list is full, theoldest
ID on the list is removed.
Any of the eight paired devicescan initiate a connection
with the STB-2812. When you turn onthe speaker system
it will only automatically initiate apaired connection with
the last music soure it wasconnected to.
If you want to connect theSTB-2812 to another device in
the paired device list, you mustinitiate the connection
from that device. When any one ofthe eight devices
initiates a connection to the STB-2812 afterwards,
that then becomes the “last connected device.”
Attention: If a device is disconnected (for example,
out of range), please reconnect.

Battery Replacement
Please use alkaline batteries only.
1. Align batteries in the compartmentaccording
to the printed label.
2. Don't mix new and usedbatteries.
3. Don't use different types of batteriesat the same time.

Q: Why doesn't the LED flashwhen I hold the pairing button?
A(1): Insure there is power tothe unit.
Q: What should I do if theSTB-2812 does not pair successfully
with another device?
A(1): Make sure the mating deviceis on.
A(2): Make sure the two devicesare within 30cm or
less of each other.
Q: Which power source will be used,if both battery and
AC adaptor power are available tothe unit?
A: The unit will automatically use 5V DC adapter power when
available. This will switch to batteryback-up if the
adapter is disconnected.
Q: What will be the effect ifI continue to use the STB-2812
after the red LED is flashing?
A: There will be no damage, butthe sound volume and
sound quality will continue to decreaseuntil the unit
switches off.
