Audioaccess AVR21EN User manual

The Whole-House Entertainment Network
from Audioaccess®is a radically simple
approach to whole-house entertainment.
Built around the world’s first high-
performance A/V receiver integrated
with source control and multizone
audio and video distribution, W.H.E.N.
systems are capable of streaming eight
central entertainment sources (including
up to six video sources) to a home theater
and as many as 20 additional rooms.
W.H.E.N.
™begins here and now
The centerpiece of every W.H.E.N. system
is the Audioaccess AVR21EN, a high-
performance surround receiver that
incorporates exciting new technologies
from Audioaccess to enhance the whole-
house and home theater experience. It
features a cutting-edge digital amplifier
design and every popular surround sound
processing technology, including Dolby®
Pro Logic®IIx, DTS Neo:6®and Logic 7.
®
Furthermore, the patented EzSet equalization
technology makes fine-tuning the system
to the particular acoustic needs of the lis-
tening space virtually automatic.
Outstanding audio, and DCDi by
Faroudja®video
Audioaccess has been producing premium-
quality custom audio systems for more
than 20 years. The AVR21EN continues
that tradition and extends it to the world
of home theater and video. In addition
to its comprehensive sound-processing
capabilities, the AVR21EN includes DCDi
by Faroudja video-processing technology.
The award-winning DCDi by Faroudja
codec effectively “upconverts” standard-
definition video pictures to the HDTV format
(to 1080i via an HDMI™output), enhancing
viewer enjoyment and extending the useful
life of existing DVD libraries.
But it also features something unprecedented:
control of up to six external A/V sources
and two internal AM/FM tuners, and
two-way remote routing of composite
video and digital audio and control signals.
The system extends audio signals through-
out the home by using a proprietary
Digital Signal Transfer bus.
As the first 7.1-channel receiver with an
onboard multizone system controller, the
AVR21EN doesn’t just provide outstanding
A/V performance – it reduces system
complexity and improves ease of use. With
intuitive on-screen programming and a
built-in library of IR codes, the AVR21EN
can be set up to control a variety of
components and whole-house features –
without the use of a PC.
As the heart of a premium home theater
installation or as the central component of
a fully integrated whole-house infotainment
system, the AVR21EN is both unique and
uniquely capable.
