YOUR“ANTI-CODEGRABBING“TRANSMITTERS:
The transmitters included with your new remote start system use the most advanced and
secure form of radio frequency transmission available on any current automotive remote
system.Some of today’ssophisticated auto thievesuse a deviceknown as a code grabber,
which will receive and store the signal from your keychain transmitter, and re-transmit at a
latertimetodisarmyoursystem.
Youranti-codegrabbingtransmitterswillchangetheirsignaleverytimethebuttonispressed,
sowhen a thief grabs then re-transmits your signal,the alarm system
willnot respond.
Ifyourtransmitterbutton is pressed more thanfiftytimeswhile it is out ofrangeof the vehicle
(children playing with your keys), the transmitter will not operate when you return to the
vehicle,andwillneedtobere-aligned tothereceiver.Todothis,simplypresstheLockbutton
twotimes within a one second time period.The system will now respond to thattransmitter
eachtimeabutton is pressed.
Forreferencethe transmitter packaged withyour PRO-9675FT4 is shownbelow.
ARMINGTHESYSTEM -ACTIVE:
1.Turn the engine off,exit the vehicle, andclose all doors, hoodand trunk.
2.Pressand release the Lock buttonofyour key chain transmitteronetime.
The parking lights will flash once, the siren will chirp once, and the dash
mountedLEDwillbegintoflashslowlyconfirming the system isarmed. Ifyou
havetheoptionaldoor lock/unlock circuit installed, thedoorswilllock.
Note:Ifthesirenchirpedthreetimes, then you have leftadoor,hood,ortrunk
ajar. Simplyclosingthatopeningwillprovide fullprotection.Ifyourvehiclehas
delayedinteriorlighting,youmayalsogetthreechirps whenarming. Oncethe
lightturnsoff,youwillhear one chirpconfirmingfullarming. Ifthesirendidnot
sound when arming, then the chirps have been turned off. Refer to the
sectionon"EliminatingtheArm/DisarmChirps"shownlaterinthis manual.
SILENTARMING- ACTIVE:
1.Turn the engine off,exit the vehicle, andclose all doors, hoodand trunk.
2.Press and hold the Lockbutton of your key chaintransmitter for two seconds.
The parking lights will flash once, and the dash mounted LED will begin to flash slowly
confirmingthe system isarmed. The siren will not chirp. Ifyou have theoptional door lock/
unlockcircuitinstalled, the doors willlock.
Note:If the siren chirps three times, then you have left a door, hood, or trunk ajar. Simply
closing that opening will provide full protection. If your vehicle has delayed interior
lighting,you may also get threechirps when arming. Once the light turns off, you will
hearonechirpconfirmingfullarming.
ARMINGTHESYSTEM - PASSIVE (AUTOMATIC):
Ifthepassive arming feature hasbeen selected:
1.Turn the engine off,exit the vehicle, andclose all doors, hoodand trunk.
ThedashmountedLEDwillbegin to flashrapidlyindicatingthatthe30secondpassivearming
timerhasbegun. IftheLEDdoesnotbegintoflashrapidly,thenyouhaveleftadoor, hood, or
trunkajar. Closing this entry point willallow the arming cycle will begin. If any entrypoint is

openedduringthe30secondarmingcycle,armingwillbesuspended. Whenallentrypoints
areclosed,the arming cycle willbeginagain.
Attheend of the 30 seconds,the parking lights will flashonce,the siren will chirponce,and
thedashmountedLEDwillbeginto flash slowly confirming the system is armed. Ifthesiren
did not sound when arming, then the chirps have been turned off. Refer to the section on
"Eliminatingthe Arm/Disarm Chirps" shown later in this manual. Passivedoor locking is a
selectablefeature. Ifyouhavethe optionaldoorlock/unlockcircuitinstalled,thedoorsmay or
maynotlockpassivelydependinguponthesetupduringinstallation.
PROTECTIONWHILETHESYSTEMISARMED:
Opening any protected entry point, hood, trunk, or doors will cause the alarm to trigger
immediately. Thesirenwill sound and theparkinglights will flash for30seconds, then stop
andcontinuetomonitorallprotectedentry points. If thethiefleftthedooropened,theunitwill
soundfor six 30 second cycles then shut down, isolate the triggered zone andcontinue to
protectall other zones.
Wheneverthe system is armed, thedash mounted LED will slowlyflash. This serves as a
visualdeterrenttoapotentialthief. This LED isaverylowcurrentlightemittingdiode,and will
notcause the batteryto drain evenif left unattendedfor long periodsof time.
Whenever the system is triggered, the vehicle's parking lights will flash for the full siren
soundingperiod.Optional - whenever thesystemis triggered, the interiorcourtesy light will
flashfor the fullsiren sounding period.
Wheneverthesystemisarmed,thevehiclestartercircuitisdisabled,andthevehicle will not
startwith the ignition key.
Whenever the system is armed, any strong impact to the vehicle will cause the shock
detectortotriggerthe alarm. Any lesser impact willcausethe pre-detect stage of theshock
sensor to emit a few short series of warning tones from the siren.
DISARMINGTHESYSTEM:
Asyouapproachthevehicle,pressandreleasetheUnlockbuttononthekeychain transmitter.
Theparkinglights will flash twotimes, the siren willchirp twice, and thedashmounted LED
will turn off.
Ifyouhave the optional doorLock/Unlock circuit installed, thedoors will unlock. Ifyouhave
theoptionalentry illumination circuit installed,the interior light willturnon for 30 secondsor
untiltheignition key is switchedon.
Note: Ifthepassivearmingmodewasselectedattime of installation, the dash mountedLED
willstartflashingrapidlyindicating that the system is rearming. Openinganydoorwill
suspendtheautomaticarming.
Iftheparkinglightsflashedthreetimes,andthesirenchirpsfourtimes,thisindicatesthatthe
alarmsystemwastriggeredduring your absence. Beforeturningontheignitionkey,examine
thedashmountedLED's flash pattern. The number offlashesidentifies the triggered zone.
Foradditionalinformation,refertoINTRUSIONWARNINGSIGNALSfoundlaterinthismanual.
If the siren did not sound upon disarm, then the chirps have been turned off. Refer to the
sectiontitledELIMINATINGTHEARM/DISARMCHIRPS.
Note: Iftheoptional2stepdoorunlockcircuit is installed, whentheunlocktransmitterbutton
isactivated,thedriversdooronly will unlock, pressingtheunlockbuttonasecondtime
willcause all doors to unlock.

SILENTDISARMING:
1. As you approach the vehicle, press and hold the Unlock button of your key chain
transmitter for two seconds.
Theparkinglightswillflashtwice,andthedashmountedLEDwillturnoffconfirmingthatthe
systemisdisarmed. Thesirenwillnotchirp. Ifyouhavetheoptionaldoorlock/unlockcircuit
installed,thedoorswillunlock. Ifyouhavetheoptionalentryilluminationcircuitinstalled,the
interiorlight will turnon for 30 seconds or until the ignitionkey is switchedon.
Note: Ifthepassivearmingmodewasselected at timeofinstallation,thedashmountedLED
willstartflashingrapidlyindicatingthatthesystem is rearming. Opening any door will
suspendtheautomaticarming.
Iftheparkinglightsflashedthreetimes,andthesirenchirpsfourtimes,this indicates that the
alarmsystemhad beentriggeredinyourabsence. Before turningontheignitionkey,examine
thedashmountedLED'sflash pattern. The number of flashes identifiesthetriggeredzone.
Foradditionalinformation,refertoINTRUSIONWARNINGSIGNALSfoundlaterinthismanual.
Note: Iftheoptional2stepdoor unlock circuitisinstalled,whentheunlocktransmitterbutton
isactivated,thedriversdoor only willunlock,pressingtheunlockbuttonasecond time
willcause all doors to unlock.
WHILETHESYSTEMISSOUNDING
If during a triggered state, you wish to shut off the siren without disarming your security
system,simplypressand release any transmitter buttonotherthanthe disarm button. This
actionwill turn offthe siren yetleave the vehiclefully armed and protected. This feature is
particularityusefulifyouareawareofchildrenplayingnear your vehicle that may accidently
triggeryour security system. Inthis case you can cancelthe siren sounding
INTRUSIONWARNINGSIGNAL:
This systemwill inform you if an intrusion attempthas occurred whileyou were awayfrom
thevehicle. Upondisarm,thesirenwillchirp4timesandtheparkinglightswillflash3times.
Enterthevehicle and before turningonthe ignition switch, observetheLED flash pattern.
If the LED flashes one time...pause, one time...pause etc., then an intrusion attempt was
madebyimpact or a strong vibrationthatthe shock sensor detected. Checkthevehicle for
possibledamagetothe glass or body panels.
Ifthe LED flashes twotimes...pause, two times...pause etc.,then an intrusion attemptwas
madeto open thehood, trunk, orby an accessorytriggering device. Check thevehicle for
indicationsof forced entryto these openings.
IftheLEDflashes threetimes...pause,threetimes...pauseetc.,thenanintrusion attemptwas
madeto the vehicledoors. Check all doorsfor indications of forced entry.
Note: TheLEDintrusion warning indications are storedin the system's memory andwillbe
erasedwhen the ignition switch is turned on.
VALET SWITCH:
Thevaletswitchallowsyoutotemporarilybypassallalarmfunctions,eliminating the need to
handyourtransmitterto parkingattendantsorgaragemechanics.Whenthesystemisinvalet
mode,allalarmfunctionsarebypassed,howevertheremotepanicfeatureandremotedoor
lockswillremainoperational.Tousethevaletmode,thesystem must firstbedisarmedeither
byusingyourkeychaintransmitter,orbyactivatingyourpersonalizedmanual override code.
1.Enterthevehicle,and turn the ignition key to theonposition.
2.PressandholdthevaletpushbuttonswitchuntilthedashmountedL.E.D. turns
onsolid. Thesystemwillremain in the valet mode.

3.Toreturnto normal operation,pressand release thepushbuttonswitch any time
theignitionison.
NOTE: Alwaysremembertoreturnthevehicleto the valet off position.Thiswillensurethatthe
vehicleremainsprotectedatalltimes.
MANUALLYOVERRIDINGYOURSYSTEM:
USINGTHEVALETSWITCHMANUALOVERRIDE
Your Security System can be disarmed without the use of the keychain transmitter. This is
necessary,sinceyou will need theability to operate yourvehicle if the transmitteris lost or its
batteryfails. If your system has been selected forValetSwitchmanual override asindicated
onthelast page of thismanual, to by-pass the alarmsystem;
1. Openthevehicle door. Thealarmwill sound.
2. Turntheignitionkeyto the on position.
3. Within5 seconds, pressand release the valet pushbuttonswitch.
Thealarmsystemwill stop sounding and enter the(by-passed)mode. Youcannowstart and
operatethevehiclenormally.
Typicallythis override mode is used onlyifthetransmitterhas become inoperative.
Programming Your Custom Override Code:
Unlikeoverrideswitcheseasilyfound,anddefeated,thissecuritysystemallowstheconsumer
toprograma personal override code,offeringahigherlevelof security. To take advantage of
thisoption,programmablefeature#10must be selected fortheCustomCodeOption. Consult
your installation center for programming details. The system comes from the factory with a
pre-programmed overridecodeof11. To change this defaultoverridecode,do the following:
1. Disarm the system by use of the transmitter, or by use of the emergency override
sequence. Turntheignitionswitchtotheonposition.
2. Within 10seconds, press and releasethe valet/override switch,3 times.
3. Within 10 seconds turn the ignition switch off, on, off, on, off, on.
(Thesiren or horn will beep and the lights will flashone time.)
4. Within 10seconds, begin to enter your chosen 10ths digit by pressing and releasing the
pushbuttonswitch from 1up to 9 times.
5. Within 10seconds of thelast entered 10thsdigit, turn theignition switch offthen on.
6. Within 10 seconds, begin to enter your chosen units digit by pressing and releasing the
pushbuttonswitch from 1up to 9 times.
7. Finish byturning the ignition switchto the offposition.
Ifthenewcodewasaccepted,theunit will report back the newly entered code, byflashingthe
LED,firstindicatingthe 10ths digit, pause and thentheunitsdigit. The unit will report thenew
code three times with a one second pause between each code, then the system will begin
arming. IftheLEDflashpattern
reports the previously stored code, the new code was not entered correctly. Please repeat
steps1 through 7 above considering the following.
NOTE: Acceptabledigits10thsorunits are 1 through 9. The unitwillnotrecognizea 0 (Zero),
ornodigit entered inanyplace, units or tenths.
NOTE: If 15 seconds of inactivity expire, or if the ignition switch is turned off for more then 5
secondsduringanyofthe above steps, the unit will revertbacktothelast successfully
storedcode.

Custom Code Programming Example:
To Change the code from the factory pre-assigned code of 11 to “52” you would do the
following:
1. Disarm the system by use of the transmitter, or by use of the emergency override
sequence.
2. Turn theignitionswitch to the onposition.
3. Within 10seconds, press and releasethe valet/override switch,3 times.
4. Within 10 seconds turn the ignition switch off, on, off, on, off, on.
(Thesiren or horn will beep and the lights will flashone time.)
5. Within 10 seconds, begin to press and release the push button switch to set the tenths
digit.(As per the example,press and release 5times to setthe tenths digit to5)
6. Within 10secondsofthelastpress of the push-button, turn the ignition switchoffthenon.
7. Within10seconds,begintopressandreleasethepushbuttonswitchtosettheunitsdigit.
(Asper the example, press and release 2times to setthe units digitto 2).
8. Turn the ignition switchtotheoff position. Immediately observe the LEDflashpattern.
You will note the LED flashing five times,pause,andthenflashtwotimes,pause. Thispattern
will be repeated three times indicating the new code (52) has been accepted and stored in
memory.
NOTE: Ifafterstep7, the LED flashes acodeotherthan what was just entered,thisindicates
thatthecodehas not been changed. You will havetorepeatsteps 1 through 7 above
beingcertainto note the following:
Acceptabledigits 10ths or unitsare 1 through9. The unit willnot recognize a 0(Zero), or no
digitenteredin any place, unitsortenths.
NOTE: If15 seconds of inactivity expire, or if the ignition switch is turnedoff for more then 5
secondsduringanyoftheabovesteps,theunitwillrevertbacktothelastsuccessfully
storedcode.
MANUALLYOVERRIDINGYOURSYSTEM:
USINGTHECUSTOMCODEOVERRIDE
Assuming the override code programmed has not been changed, and the default override
codeof 11 is inthe system's memory.
1) Enterthevehicleand turn the ignition switchto the on position.
Note: Thesiren will sound.
2) Within5seconds, press and releasethe pushbutton switch 1 time.
3) Within5seconds, turn theignition switch off then on.
4) Within5seconds, press and releasethe pushbutton switch 1 time.
5) Turntheignition switch off then on and start thevehicle.
Note: If you have changed the programmed override code then substitute your new code
tenths for step 2 above, and units for step 5 above.
ELIMINATINGTHE NORMAL ARM/DISARMCHIRPS
You can selectively eliminate the normal arm &disarmchirpsbyholdingthetransmitterbutton
slightly longer when arming or disarming. This will prevent the siren chirps for one arm or
disarmcycle. Ifyou find this inconvenientandwish to eliminate thesechirps permanently,
1.Turn the ignition switch 'on" then 'off'.
2.Within 10 secondsof turning offthe ignition, press and release the valet switch 3 times.
3.Ifthe chirps were onbeforeyou started, the siren willemit2 short chirps indicatingthatthe
chirps are now off. If the chirps were off before you started, the siren will emit one short
chirpindicating that thechirps are nowon.
NOTE: Whenever the chirps are by - passed, the 4 chirp intrusion indicator and 3 chirp

defective zone indicator will always operate. Since these are important warnings to
youthatsomethinghashappened,theycannotbeeliminated.
REMOTEPANICOPERATION
TheLock or Unlockbutton on yourkeychain transmitter alsofunctions as a panic switch for
useinemergencysituations.To use remotepanic,
1. Press and hold the Lock or Unlock button on the keychain transmitter for 3 or more
seconds. Thealarmwillimmediatelysound.
2. To stop the alarm, pressandholdtheLock or Unlock button on the transmitteragainfor3
seconds.If the button is not pressed, thealarm will automaticallystop after 30seconds.
Alsoifanytransmitterbutton otherthantheLockorUnlockbutton ispressedandreleased,
thePanicmode willbeturnedoffimmediately. Thenormalfunction ofthistransmitterbutton
willbesuspendedduringthePanic sounding period.
NOTE: WhileinthePanicmode,pressingandreleasingtheLock,ortheUnlockbuttonswill, if
theoptionisinstalled,lockandunlockthedoorsrespectively. While in thepanicmode,
anytimetheunlockbuttonispressed, the panic feature will continue fortheallotted30
seconds,however,the security systemwill be disarmedallowing the vehicle to start.
SAFETY(RedHandled) CONTROL SWITCH
The control switch allows you to temporarily disable the remote starting function of your
system. For safety, this switch must be turned off for vehicle servicing. To disable the unit,
movethe red handledcontrol switch tothe off position.
Thecontrolswitchalsoallowsyoutoselect between 2 hour start up and 4hourstartupwhen
usingtheautomaticstartup timer mode. Thefactorypresetstartuptimeforthismode isevery
4 hours. To select between 2 or 4 hour start up timer:
1.Begin with the control switch in the onposition
2.Turn the ignition switch on then off
3. Within 10 seconds, move the control switch off, on, off, on (2 switch cycles) to select a 2
hourstarttimer. After10secondsexpire,theparkinglightswillflashandthesirenwillchirp
2 times confirming that the two hour start cycle is set. Or, within 10 seconds move the
controlswitchoff,on, off, on, off, on, off,on(4switchcycles)to select a 4hour start timer.
Theparkinglights will flash andthesiren will chirp 4timesconfirming that the 4hour start
timerisset.
REMOTESTARTINGTHEVEHICLE
The Remote Control Unit WILL NOT start the vehicle if any one of the following conditions
exists:
1.TheVehicle HoodIsOpened.
2.TheGearSelectorIsInAnyGearOtherThenPark.
3.TheBrakeIsDepressed.
4.TheSafetyControl Switch Is In The OffPosition.
CAUTION! Be certain that the vehicle is outdoors before using this or any remote vehicle
startingdevice. Arunning engine produces dangerouscarbonmonoxide fumes
whichcanbeharmfulorfatalifprolonged exposure occurs. DO NOT remotestart
thevehicle if it isgaraged.
TOREMOTESTARTTHEVEHICLE:
Pressandreleasethetransmitterbuttonwiththe"Trunk/Key"symbolonit, two times within 2
seconds. Thevehicle will startand remain runningfor the pre-programmed 5, 10, 15, or 20
minutes. As a visual indication, the parking lights will flash or turn on depending on the

programmingsetupbyyourinstallationcenter.
When you arrive at your vehicle, disarm the alarm system by pressing and releasing the
unlock/disarmbuttonofyourkeychaintransmitter. Enterthevehicleandturntheignitionkey
totheonposition.
CAUTION! Do not turn the key to the start position. This will cause the starter motor to
engagewiththealreadyrunningenginewhichcouldresultindamage. Stepon
thebrakepedalto disengage the remote startunit. Thevehiclewill continue to
run but now on it's own power.
NOTE: Theenginewillstoprunningbeforetheexpirationofthepre-programmedruntimerif
youcomplete any of the following:
1. Press andrelease trunk/keybutton ofyour keychaintransmitter twotimes within2seconds.
2.Depressthebrakepedal.
3.Openthehood.
4.Move the redhandled control switch to the off position.
5.Racetheenginetoabove 4000 RPM.
OPERATINGON AUTOMATICSTART UPTIMERMODE
Thesystemhastheabilitytoautomaticallystartthevehicleevery 2 or 4 hours over a48hour
period. Thisfeature is especially usefulin cold climateswhere the onlymeans to keep the
engineandengine fluids warm is toperiodicallystart the engine.
CAUTION! Be certainthat the vehicle is outdoorsbefore using this or anyremote vehicle
startingdevice. Arunningengine producesdangerouscarbonmonoxidefumes
which can be harmful or fatal if prolonged exposure occurs. DO NOT remote
startthe vehicle if it is garaged.
TOBEGINTHEAUTOMATICSTARTUPTIMER
1. Turnthe ignition key onthen off.
2. Within10seconds,activatethe RF start command two times.(Pushthe trunk/keybutton
ofyourkeychain transmitter 4 times).
Theparkinglightswillflash and the siren willchirp4timesindicating the timed start mode is
activated.
The vehicle, on a 2 or 4 hour interval basis, will automatically start, run for the pre-pro-
grammedtime(5,10, 15 or20minutes), and thenshutoff. This will continuefor48 hours.
NOTE: Theautomaticstartuptimercanalsobeinitiatedfromthekeychaintransmitter.
To do this:
1. Start thevehicle usingthe keychaintransmitterby pressingandreleasing the trunk/key
button2times.
2. Shutoffthevehicleusingthekeychaintransmitter by pressing andreleasingthetrunk/key
button2times.
3. Within10secondsofstep 2,activatetheRFstartcommandtwotimes. (Pushthetrunk/key
button of yourkeychaintransmitter 4 times).
Theparkinglightswillflash and the siren willchirp4timesindicating the timed start mode is
activated.
CANCELINGTHEAUTOMATICSTARTUPTIMER
To cancel theautomatic start up timerdo one of thefollowing;
1.Startthe vehicle manually withthe use of the ignitionkey and depress thebrakepedal.
2.RemotestartthevehicleusingyourkeychainRFtransmitter.

Ifyour vehicle isnot equipped withan electronic trunk release switch, or other option listed,
this feature may have been connected to another accessory. Please ask your dealer for

NOTE: Thefeaturethathasbeenaddedtochannel3willalwaysbeoperatedusingthesame
transmitter button that controls the remote start unit. There is no way to move the
channel3 function to a different channel.
