EIDOS: An Introduction
Thank you for your purchase of Aven’s Eidos. This integrated HD
camera system can be mounted to any microscope or video lens
with a C/CS mount. Allows operators to view high definition
images at a high frame rate of 60fps while looking straight
ahead at a monitor. This can help ease eye strain and neck
fatigue associated with frequent microscope use and allows users
to share their inspection with their collegues.
Features include an Optical Mouse for menu interaction, a
powerful built-in HDMI camera, a built-in SD Card for capturing
images and a wide range of customizable features.
Setting Up Your Eidos:
Connect the Eidos to you C/CS mount trinocular microscope or
video lens. Plug the power adapter into your power outlet and
connect the mini end to the bottom of the Eidos.
Remove mini USB flash drive from mouse and insert into one of 2
USB ports of the monitor. Insert the batteries into wireless
mouse (included in package).
Alternative method: To connect the camera to a PC, use a USB
cable. Note: This requires Aven’s EZ Image Software (product
#24600-406, aveninc.com).
