Congratulations and thank you for choosing the AwoX StriimSOUND Wi-Fi,
Ethernet, and Bluetooth-enabled music streaming system. With this versatile
and high quality audio device, you get:

iOS™ or Google Android™ smartphone or tablet, PC or Mac(1), the Internet,

Changing the remote control battery
Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?
StriimSOUND supports both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi/Ethernet connections.
Bluetooth: For a simple music loudspeaker solution, you may choose to simply
stream music from your smartphone or tablet to StriimSOUND via Bluetooth.
This option may only be used to play music stored locally on your mobile
device.
LED color in Bluetooth mode:
Stable blue when StriimSOUND is connected to a Bluetooth source
Blinking alternatively blue/read when not connected
Blinking blue when connection is ongoing
Wi-Fi/Ethernet: Network features enable you to connect to a home Internet
network to access on-line music via Internet radio stations, play music from
diverse sources, and to create wireless music zones using several compatible
AwoX Striim devices. With its higher bandwidth, this type of network
connection generally offers better sound quality.
LED color in Wi-Fi/Ethernet mode:
Stable purple when StriimSOUND is connected to the network
Blinking alternatively purple/read when not connected
Blinking purple when connection is ongoing.

Notes:
1. Plugging an Ethernet cable into your StriimSOUND speaker turns off Wi-Fi
functionality.
2. StriimSOUND extends the range of your home Wi-Fi network. In Wi-Fi
mode, the speaker automatically serves as a wireless range extender for
other devices. When you scan for Wi-Fi networks with your device (such as
a computer, smartphone, or tablet), you will see a network with the same
name as your regular network, with a “-EXT” extension. You may simply
choose to connect to this network access point using the same key or
password as your regular access point.

Using StriimSOUND via Bluetooth
Setting up the Bluetooth connection to play music depends on your player. In
most cases it is a simple one-step process to connect and play as described
here. Check your player’s instructions for specific details.
Note: When using Bluetooth to stream music from your music player
to a StriimSOUND speaker, product features requiring Internet access
are not available. Use the manual controls on the speaker for volume,
source selection, presets, etc.
Follow these simple steps to use your StriimSOUND via Bluetooth:
1. Plug the AC adapter into StriimSOUND and an electrical power outlet.
2. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the speaker on.
3. Wait a few seconds while the system starts. The LED will be RED during
boot, then it will blink red and purple alternatively.
4. Press the source selector until the LED blinks blue/red.
5. Press the pairing button (LED light blinks blue) to accept the
connection from your device.
6. Activate Bluetooth on your music player, scan for new Bluetooth devices,
and select your StriimSOUND speaker. If you are prompted to enter a PIN
code, type 0000 (four zeros).
7. Connect to StriimSOUND using a “Connect to audio device” or similar
command, depending on your device. The LED becomes stable blue.
8. Select a track or playlist and hit PLAY!
9. Sit back and enjoy your music.

Using Striim CONTROL and Wi-Fi/Ethernet
features
1. To access network and Internet services with your StriimSOUND system,
start by downloading the free AwoX media app for your device:
Apple iPhone,

Download and install AwoX Striim
CONTROL™ software from the App
Store.
Google Android
devices
Download and install AwoX Striim
CONTROL™ software from the Google
Play Store.
2. On your Apple or Android device, make sure Wi-Fi is turned on and use the
device’s settings to connect to your home network.

Network setup
If your Internet router supports WPS simplified wireless setup
WPS enables you to add new Wi-Fi
devices to your network at the touch of
a button. If your Internet router
supports WPS, press the WPS button on
the router and then press the WPS
button on your StriimSOUND. The two
devices will recognize each other
automatically and you may begin using
the AwoX Striim CONTROL application
right away. Otherwise, the installation
wizard runs as described here.
1. Plug the AC adapter into
StriimSOUND and an electrical

turn the speaker on.
3. Wait a few seconds while the system
starts, and then press the source selector until the LED turns red.
4. Tap the launcher icon on your device to run AwoX Striim CONTROL.
5. The setup wizard starts if no AwoX Striim devices are found .
6. Choose to install AwoX StriimSOUND.
7. The wizard guides you through the steps to connect your AwoX
StriimSOUND to your home network so you can begin playing your music.

Changer la pile de la télécommande
Wifi ou Bluetooth ?
StriimSOUND est compatible à la fois avec les connexions Bluetooth et
Wifi/Ethernet.
Bluetooth : si vous souhaitez simplement diffuser la musique qui se trouve sur
votre smartphone ou votre tablette, vous pouvez choisir de relier votre
enceinte StriimSOUND à votre appareil via une connexion Bluetooth. À noter
que cette configuration permet uniquement d’écouter les morceaux stockés
sur votre appareil.
Voyant lumineux en mode Bluetooth :
bleu continu quand l’enceinte StriimSOUND est connectée à une
source Bluetooth ;
clignotant bleu-rouge quand aucune connexion n’est établie ;
clignotant bleu quand l’enceinte est en cours de connexion.
Wifi/Ethernet : la fonction réseau vous permet de vous connecter à Internet
afin d’accéder à la musique en ligne via les web radios. Vous pouvez
également lire la musique issue de diverses sources et créer des zones
musicales sans fil en reliant plusieurs appareils AwoX Striim compatibles. Doté
d’un débit plus élevé, ce type de connexion offre généralement un son de
meilleure qualité.
Voyant lumineux en mode Wifi/Ethernet :
violet continu quand l’enceinte StriimSOUND est connectée au
réseau ;
clignotant violet-rouge quand aucune connexion n’est établie ;
clignotant violet quand l’enceinte est en cours de connexion.

Remarques
8. Lorsque vous branchez un câble Ethernet sur votre enceinte StriimSOUND,
le mode Wifi se désactive automatiquement.
9. StriimSOUND augmente la portée de votre réseau Wifi. En effet, en mode
Wifi, l’enceinte sert automatiquement de relais pour vos autres appareils.
Ainsi, quand vous cherchez un réseau Wifi (par exemple depuis votre
ordinateur, smartphone ou tablette), la liste affiche un réseau
correspondant à votre modem, complété de l’extension -EXT. Vous avez
alors la possibilité de vous connecter à ce point d’accès en utilisant la clé
ou le mot de passe de votre modem.

Utilisation du mode Bluetooth
Les instructions à suivre pour établir la connexion Bluetooth et lire de la
musique dépendent de la source utilisée. Dans la plupart des cas, cette
opération s’effectue en une étape, comme décrit ci-dessous. Pour plus de
détails, consultez le mode d’emploi de l’appareil source.
Remarque : lorsque vous utilisez une connexion Bluetooth pour lire de
la musique sur votre enceinte StriimSOUND, les fonctionnalités
nécessitant un accès à Internet sont désactivées. Pour régler le volume,
la source, les supports préprogrammés, etc., utilisez les boutons
figurant sur l’enceinte.
Pour utiliser votre enceinte StriimSOUND en mode Bluetooth, suivez les
instructions ci-dessous.
10. Branchez le câble électrique sur l’enceinte StriimSOUND et dans une prise
secteur.
11. Allumez l’enceinte en appuyant sur le bouton de mise sous/hors tension
.
12. Attendez quelques secondes que le système s’allume. Pendant la mise sous
tension, le voyant lumineux est rouge, puis clignote en violet-rouge.
13. Appuyez sur le bouton de sélection de la source jusqu’à ce que le
voyant lumineux clignote en bleu-rouge.
14. Appuyez sur le bouton de synchronisation pour accepter la connexion
à l’appareil source (le voyant lumineux clignote en bleu).
15. Activez le mode Bluetooth sur l’appareil source, détectez les nouveaux
appareils Bluetooth et sélectionnez l’enceinte StriimSOUND. Si votre
appareil vous demande de saisir un code PIN, tapez 0000 (quatre zéros).
16. Connectez-vous à l’enceinte StriimSOUND à l’aide de la fonction
« Connexion à une source audio » ; cette commande peut varier selon les
appareils. Le voyant lumineux cesse alors de clignoter et passe au bleu.
17. Sélectionnez un morceau ou une liste de lecture et appuyez sur LECTURE.
18. Vous n’avez plus qu’à profiter de votre musique !

Configuration du réseau
Modems compatibles avec le protocole de configuration simplifiée WPS
Le protocole WPS vous permet
d’ajouter des appareils compatibles Wifi
à votre réseau en appuyant simplement
sur un bouton. Si votre modem
comporte la fonction WPS, appuyez sur
le bouton de synchronisation au niveau
du modem, puis sur votre enceinte
StriimSOUND. Les deux appareils se
reconnaissent alors automatiquement
et vous pouvez immédiatement
commencer à utiliser l’application AwoX
Striim CONTROL. Sinon, utilisez
l’assistant d’installation comme indiqué
ci-dessous.
21. Branchez le câble électrique sur
l’enceinte StriimSOUND et dans une
prise secteur.
22. Allumez l’enceinte en appuyant sur
le bouton de mise sous/hors tension
.
23. Attendez quelques secondes que le système s’allume, puis appuyez sur le

soit rouge.
24. Appuyez sur l’icône AwoX Striim CONTROL de l’appareil source.
25. Si l’application ne détecte aucun appareil AwoX Striim, elle lance l’assistant
d’installation.
26. Lorsque l’assistant vous demande quel type de dispositif installer,
choisissez AwoX StriimSOUND.
27. L’assistant vous aide alors à connecter votre enceinte AwoX StriimSOUND à
votre réseau, afin que vous puissiez écouter de la musique.
