An E2 Linux Receiver is very extensive and is developed every day. Therefore, it is very difficult to
create a manual according to the current state. The manual was created based on the software
version openATV 6.3.
A function can change, evolve or even disappear after a certain amount of time.I The actual
appearance of the product may differ from the photograph of the instructions and on the packaging.

1.1 Safety instruction
This device complies with international safety standards.
Before commissioning, please read the safety instructions carefully and
•keep the operating instructions within easy reach.
•Observe the warnings on the device and in the operating instructions.
•Never allow children to use electrical appliances unattended.
Environmental conditions: Protect the device from moisture and heat and set it
no direct sunlight. Open fire sources, such as burning ones
Candles, must not be placed on the device. Avoid putting the receiver in areas
with insufficient ventilation. Keep a clearance of at least 10 cm
over and at least 5 cm from the side of the device, so that the heat generated unhindered can be
dissipated. Do not place objects filled with liquids, eg. Vases,

Do not expose the device to dripping or splashing water. Mains connection: 100 240V AC, 50 /
60Hz. First connect the receiver with the power grid after you have completely wired it. Avoid

the remote control.
Use only genuine parts and accessories: Use only original parts or parts recommended by your
dealer to prevent damage to your device or injury. Failure to observe this warning will void the
device warranty. Every intervention and every repair must only be carried out by a qualified
specialist!

Intended use: The digital receiver is used to receive digital TV or Radio programs in the
private sector. It is exclusively intended for the stated purpose and may only be used for
it. This includes the observance of all information in this manual, especially the safety
instructions.Any other use is considered improper and can lead to property damage,
possibly even personal injury. The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage
or injury resulting from failure to observe the safety instructions or improper handling of
the device. Settings on the receiver may only be made by persons with appropriate
knowledge of consumer electronics. This also means that every person who assembles,
connects, operates, cleans or disposes of this receiver has read the complete operating
instructions of the device in order to ensure the intended use. Keep the operating
instructions for this purpose.
1.2 Waste Disposal
Electronic devices are not household waste, but must be disposed of properly
in accordance with Directive 2002/96 / EC of the EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND
OF THE COUNCIL of 27 January 2003 on waste electrical and electronic
equipment (WEEE). Please dispose of this device at the end of its use for
disposal at the designated public collection points
1.3 Environmental protection
Packaging and packaging aids that are no longer needed are recyclable and
should always be recycled. Used batteries are not to be disposed in
household waste. These must be handed in at a collection point. Information
about the collection points can be obtained from your local municipality.

3.2 RCU and battery information
1. Open the battery cover in the direction of
the batteries by the arrows and remove
them upwards
2. Insert the two batteries into the battery
compartment as shown in the picture
Pay attention to the correct polarity when inserting the
batteries!
Follow these instructions to avoid damage or leakage of the battery:
DO NOT use old and new batteries at the same time!
DO NOT use two different batteries!
Take the batteries out of the RCU if you won't be using them for a long time!

Always aim the remote at the receiver - not at the TV set. The distance should not be
more than 7 m. The angle should not exceed 30 °.

4.1 First Installation
The first time you use this
receiver, an auto-installation
wizard starts and guides you
through initial programming.
Press the RED button to change
the language.
First choose an input (HDMI or
JACK).
Use the up / down buttons on
the remote control to select and
confirm your selection with the
OK button.
The possible resolutions are now
displayed. Select the desired
resolution (video mode) with the
up / down buttons on the
remote control and confirm your
choice with the OK button.
in the next menu, select the
refresh rate with the up / down
buttons on the remote control
and confirm your selection with
the OK button. e.g. 50 Hz, multi,
60 Hz, auto

Now select the language using the up / down
buttons on the remote control and confirm
your choice with the OK button.
Tnow your receiver starts up basic settings
wizard. Press the OK button on the remote
control to go to the next step.
Select now with the buttons up / down on
the remote control if you want to start the
wizard of basic functions or cancel the wizard.
Confirm your selection with the OK button on
the remote control.
Use the up / down buttons on the remote
control to set the time zone. Confirm your
selection with the OK button on the remote
control.

In the next menu you can configure Tuner
A. Here you program the settings of your
satellite system, whether you use 1, 2 or
more LNBs. You can do it automatically or
manually.
E.g:If you are using 2 LNBs (Astra 19.2 °
and Hotbird 13 °), do the setup in reverse if
switching between 2 satellites is done via the
DiSEqC signal. Select your data with the up /
down buttons and confirm your
configuration with the OK button on the
remote control.
In the next menu you can configure Tuner
B.
Here you program the settings of your
satellite system, no matter if you use 1, 2 or
more LNBs. You can do it automatically or
manuallyie.
Select your data with the up / down buttons
and confirm your configuration with the OK
button on the remote control.
If the setup setting of Antenna Tuner B is
the same as Tuner A, set the "Setup Mode"
menu item to "Equals" and the "Tuner"
menu item to "Tuner A ...". See the picture.

Now, using the buttons on the remote control,
if you want to load the pre-installed list of
programs at the top or if you want to scan the
satellite, select: Search.
If you have selected "default Astra (13-19e) ...",
the receiver will load a pre-installed and sorted
list of programs. Confirm your choice with the
OK button on the remote control.
JIf you choose "scan new", the menu shows as
shown on the right. Use the up / down buttons
on the remote control to select
(Recommended: Yes, perform auto scan now)
and confirm your selection with the OK button.
Up / Down / Left / Right settings (clear before
scanning, Network scan, Tuner A scan)) and
confirm your choice with the OK button on the
remote control.
The receiver now starts searching for stations.
Remember that when searching, all found
programs must be sorted manually later!

After loading the pre-installed channel list or
completing the channel search, you can now
connect the receiver to the Internet.
Prerequisite is a LAN cable connected to the
router or a USB WLAN antenna (optional
available). To do so, press the OK button to
continue.
Connect the router to the receiver with a LAN
cable and click OK on the remote control. The
menu item "Use interface" and "Use DHCP"
should be set to "Yes". Press the OK button on the
remote control to continue. After successfully
connecting to the Internet and the router, a
message will appear that AX MULTIBOX is now
connected to the Internet.
To continue, press the OK button on the remote
control. The installation is now complete. A list of
programs will now appear - sorted by Bouquets
(Favorites) provider. Use the up / down buttons
to select your favorite bouquet and confirm it by
pressing the OK button on the remote control.

Pressing the EPG button on the remote control displays the
electronic program guide. You can navigate through this
EPG screen by using Up / Down / Right / Left buttons.
The red vertical line shows the current time.
