Introduction
This is a basic assembly manual for the construction of the AXC Halo. It does
not explain how to connect and setup the Flight controller, ESC, Motors, VTX,
RX etc.
We are working on more detailed assembly instruction that we will release
soon.
We recommend the following components for the AXC Halo:
Flight Controller: (1x) FuriousFPV PIKO BLX (20x20mm mounting
holes)
ESC: (2x) FuriousFPV SILKY 2in1 ESC BLHELI_S (20x20mm
mounting holes)
Props: (4x) FuriousFPV 1935
Motor: (4x) DYS BE1104 - 6500KV / RotorX RX1105B - 6500kv
Battery: (1x) 400-500mah 3S Lipo
RX: (1x) Furious Mini RX for Frsky
Camera/VTX: (1x) FX798T 5.8G 25mW 40CH Mini FPV Transmitter
Camera Combo
USB: For connecting the PIKO flight controller to your computer a
90deg USB lead will be very useful.

Step 1 - Assemble Flight Components
Assemble and setup all the flight components at this stage. Cut wires to
length and solder in place. Make sure all the wiring is clear of the propellers.
Being neat and tidy at this stage will help ensure your success!
Mount the ESC, Flight Controller, etc
(1x) Main Plate
(4x) M2.5 x 20mm CSK
(4x) M2.5 Nuts
Plastic spacers as required
Make sure the screws and nuts do not cause any electrical short outs.
The arrow in the Main Plate is to point forwards. It helps to avoid confusion
later!
Mount the Motors
(16x) M2 x 3mm Socket screws
Make sure the screws do not damage the internal wire inside the
motors.
Do not overtighten the screws as it will damage the motor screw
threads.
Thread-lock will stop screws becoming loose and falling out when there
are vibrations. Excessive vibrations can occur if you damage a
propeller.

Step 2 - Assemble the Upper Structure
(4x) Carbon Hoops
(4x) Spacer Blocks
(4x) Hoop Supports
(2x) Camera Supports
(12x) M2 x 4 Socket Cap Screws
(8x) M2 x 5mm CSK (Countersunk) Pozi Screws
Assemble the parts as per the diagram below.
Use M2 x 5mm CSK (Countersunk) Pozi Screws in the upper holes. This
allows the props to clear the screws if the props deform upwards at full
throttle.

Step 4 –Attach Camera
The camera attaches to the rear of the aluminium camera mount with the pre-
attached self-adhesive foam tape.
Make sure that no electrical parts of the camera can touch the aluminium to
avoid electrical short out. This includes sharp solder points that can pierce the
self-adhesive foam tape. Carefully file down any sharp solder points that may
be affected
Check your camera is supplied with the correct voltage from your power
distribution.
Attach the aluminium camera mount and antenna protectors to the camera
supports.
(1x) Aluminium Camera Mount
(4x) M2 x 4mm Socket Cap Screws
(2x) Antenna protectors
The angle of the camera is adjustable. Slacken the screws, change the
camera angle and retighten the screws.

(1x) Velcro Strap
(2x) Washers
(1x) 100mm x Self-Adhesive Velcro (Hook)
(1x) 100mm x Self-Adhesive Velcro (Loop)
Cut the strap to suit your battery. The strap has holes in each end through
which you can screw to the Main Plate as in the photos below. Use the 2
washers on the screws.
Use the self-adhesive Velcro on the Main Plate and on your batteries for
additional security.

Flight Controller Setup
We use Betaflight on the PIKO flight controller for our own Halos. This is just
our preference and you can also use the supplied Cleanflight.
You will need to configure your PIKO flight controller to compensate for it
being mounted 45 degrees in yaw. This is achieved using the Cleanflight or
Betaflight configurator. It may be +45 or -45 degrees depending on how you
mounted your PIKO flight controller.
