Indoor Camera Setup

The AyrScout™ Outdoor Camera includes the following parts:
CAMERA BODY MOUNTING BASE
MOUNTING
SCREWS
ETHERNET
CABLE
ANTENNA
POWER SUPPLY

Assemble the Camera
1.) Screw the antenna onto the
antenna mount on the back of the
Camera.
2.) Plug the Power Supply
into the back of the Camera.
What you’ll need:
1.) AyrScout™ Camera
2.) AyrMesh™ Router
3.) Computer or tablet device on your
local network
4.) Drill and/or screwdriver for
mounting
Planning your installation
You can use the AyrScout Camera connected
by WiFi to an AyrMesh Hub or to an AyrMesh
Router. The Camera can also be connected with
an Ethernet cable to an AyrMesh Remote Hub
or an AyrMesh Router. If you use the AyrScout
Camera with the AyrMesh Router (instead of an
AyrMesh Hub), make sure the AyrMesh Router is
configured to get its SSID and WPA Passkey from
ayrmesh.com.
The AyrScout Camera can be mounted on any
flat surface where it will be kept dry and above
freezing. Extreme cold will inhibit the Camera’s
pan/tilt mechanism.

Configure the Camera
1.) Connect an Ethernet cable between the
camera and your AyrMesh Router or
AyrMesh Remote Hub.
2.) Plug the Power Supply into wall power.
If you are going to use the camera
“cabled” to the Hub or Router, you
are done. If you are going to use the
Camera’s WiFi connection, leave the
camera for at least 10 minutes to
make sure it is fully configured.
Mount the camera and put it into service
1.) Unplug the camera and take it to where you’ll be using it.
2.) You can either attach the Mounting Base to the bottom of the camera
and then mount it, or you can mount the Mounting Base and then
attach the camera.

3.) The camera can be mounted
on any flat surface. Once
it is mounted, you can use
the screws to adjust the
angle of the camera so it is
pointed where you want it.
Remember that the camera
can pan and tilt.
4.) Plug the power supply
into the wall or extension
cord (must be dry). From
a computer, log in to your
ayrmesh.com account.
The camera will show up on your ayrmesh.com account in 5 to 10 minutes. Note that
the username and password you log in with at ayrmesh.com are also the username and
password needed to log in to your camera(s) and router.
5.) To view the camera, log in to ayrmesh.com. Scroll down the page to the Cameras section.
Select the camera you want to view and click on the Internal (LAN) Link. When prompted,
log in to the camera using your ayrmesh.com username and password. Click on Simple
Mode to see the picture from the camera. Adjust the Camera and Mounting Base so you
see exactly what you want to see. When you are away from your home network, view your
camera(s) by clicking on the External (Internet) Link.

Notes:
Reset procedure: If the camera does not show up on ayrmesh.com,
you may need to ensure that it is in radio range of the nearest Hub or
Router, or you may need to re-configure the camera. If you need to
reconfigure the camera, reset the camera back to its Factory Defaults
by holding the reset button down for 20-30 seconds (until the lights
on the Ethernet jack both go out for a second).
The camera will reboot back to its default settings, and you can
re-connect it to the AyrMesh router for configuration.
