Introduction
SmartMirror™
The Azentek SmartMirror is intended to assist you in safe driving by
providing direcons, hands-free phone connecvity, and a broader
view during reversing. The driver is solely responsible for safe
vehicle operaon and passenger safety according to laws of the
country and local traffic regulaons. Do not use any features of this
system to the extent it distracts you from safe driving. Your first prior-
ity while driving should always be the safe operaon of your vehicle.
Azentek cannot accept any responsibility for accidents resulng from
failure to observe these precauons.
1. Any unauthorized modificaons or damage to the products may
result in electrical shock. Handle all components with care. Inspect
regularly for damage to components and cabling.
2. Installer is responsible to ensure that the installaon of this prod-
uct does not void or affect the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty.
Azentek is not liable in any part for improper installaon resulng
in loss or damage to your property, or for voiding all or part of the
vehicle manufacturer’s warranty.
3. Do not apply excessive force to any of the components contained
within this kit. Excessive force used before, during or aer
installaon that results in a damaged or non-funconal product shall
void all warranes.
4. Please follow all procedures contained within this installaon
manual. Improper installaon or modificaon of this product shall
void all warranes.

Maintenance
The Azentek SmartMirror requires lile care, however to maintain it
in opmum condion, follow the procedures below:
1. Keep SmartMirror away from excessive moisture, extreme heat or
cold and magnec fields.
2. Keep liquids away from the display.
3. Do not place external devices or other objects on the top of
SmartMirror.
4. Occasionally clean mirror glass with a socloth moistened with
water or window cleaner.

Installation
SmartMirror™
1. Install universal windshield mount to
SmartMirror using supplied screws. There
are mulple holes to allow proper mirror
placement. Do not over ghten screws.
2. Mount Smart Mirror to windshield
by sliding universal mount over factory buon on wind-
shield. Tighten screw using supplied allen key.
3. Find suitable mounng locaon for microphone. For best results
place microphone within two (2) feet of the drivers' head. The top
of the A-pillar or above mirror in center of windshield are recom
mended locaons. Route wire to mirror and plug into 1/8” jack.
4. Plug in supplied power harness and route to suitable locaon to
make power connecons. Connect wires to car as follows:
Yellow 12-Volt Constant
Red 12-Volt Switched (Ignion)
Black Chassis Ground
Green Reverse Light
Video 1 RCA Addional Camera
Video 2 RCA Reverse Camera Input

Tools Recommended for Proper Installaon:
- Safety Glasses
- DC voltmeter or test light
- Crimping pliers
- Wire strippers
Preparaon
- Inspect mirror for damage
- Check parts list for accuracy.
Note: Azentek does not recommend installing this mirror if your
vehicle has airbag sensors in the headliner area or if your vehicle is
equipped with OnStar.
If your car, truck or suv mirror is mounted within the windshield, not
stuck on like the wedge mount or camlock style, detachment is not
recommended. If your windshield wipers have a sensor mounted to
your rearview mirror, installaon of this mirror will inacvate that
funcon.

Introduction
SmartMirror™
The Azentek SmartMirror is packaged with a "universal" wedge style
mount for aaching to the windshield. Camlock and other mounng
adapters are sold separately. For a complete list of available mount-
ing hardware, visit hp://www.azentek.com.
The two most common mirror mounng styles are:
Wedge mount - Generally standard on vehicles
manufactured in the United States, regardless
of vehicle make. This style of mirror can be
found with or without a screw. See page 5 for
removal instrucons.
Camlock mount - Generally standard on vehi-
cles manufactured outside of the United States.
This style of mirror must be removed by turning
the mirror 90 degrees so that it is perpendicular
to the dash, and pulling down on the mirror.

Screw Wedge Mount
Using a screwdriver or torx bit, loosen the screw in the base of the
mirror. Aer loosening screw, gently liupward to slide mirror offof
mirror mount.
Screwless Wedge Mount
Using a small 1/8" (4 mm) flat-blade screwdriver, insert the flat end
into the opening at the boom of the mirror mount at the wind-
shield. Slide the screwdriver into the center of the mirror mount unl
resistance is felt. Gently apply a small amount of addional upward
force to liaway locking spring in the mount. While sll applying
upward pressure with the screwdriver, grasp the mirror bracket and
wiggle side to side. Limirror up toward the headliner and offthe
windshield mount buon.
Camlock Mount
Grasp the base of the mirror. Rotate 90 degrees leor right. Slide
mirror downward toward dash to remove.
