und die Fabrikation nummer ihre Produkte für einen unkomplizierten Kundendien t und Ver and
von Er atzteilen. Die B-TEC Hebebühnen ind unter Berück ichtigung höch ter Qualität kriterien für
eine hohe Betrieb icherheit gebaut worden. Durch be timmte Arbeit abläufe gibt e jedoch Stellen
und Teile, die nicht ge chützt werden können, ohne die Bedienbarkeit und die Funktion zu
beeinträchtigen. Wir bitten Sie de halb die e Dokument vor Inbetriebnahme der Hebebühne

Thank you for the trust you placed in us by purchasing this B-TEC product. On the machines type plate
you find the exact type designation and serial number to ensure good service and shipment of spare
parts. The same information you can find on the type plate directly at your lift.
The B-TEC lifts have been designed and manufactured to the highest uality standards for best
operational safety. Due to certain operational processes, there are areas and parts that cannot be
protected without impairing operability and functionality. Therefore please read this document
carefully before using the lift in order to achieve maximum operational safety and lifetime.

Read this document carefully before putting the machine into operation and keep it
for future reference.
Auf Seite 29 die er Bedienung anleitung befindet ich ein Formblatt zum Nachwei für regelmäßig
durchzuführende Sicherheit prüfungen. Da Formblatt darf au chließlich von befähigten Per onen
(Per onen mit au reichender Kenntni und Erfahrung oder Monteur de Her teller ) oder
Sachver tändigen (z.B. Fachingenieur oder TÜV-Sachver tändige) au gefüllt werden.
On page 29 of this manual, there is a form for documenting the safety inspections to be carried out at
regular intervals. The form has to be filled in by specialist technicians (persons with sufficient knowledge
and experience or manufacturer's technicians) or experts (e.g. engineers or Technical Control Board
experts).

Die B-TEC Geräte und Anlagen dürfen nur be timmung gemäß einge etzt werden. Darüber
hinau gehender Gebrauch / Nutzung owie ungenehmigte Modifikationen ind nicht
be timmung gemäß. Bei nicht be timmung - und ordnung gemäßem Ein atz der Hebebühne be teht
Gefahr für die Ge undheit de Benutzer oder Dritter owie eine Beeinträchtigung der Hebebühne
oder anderer Sach- und Vermögen werte. Für darau eventuell re ultierende Schäden haftet der
Her teller nicht. Detaillierte Informationen und Hinwei e zur be timmung gemäßen Verwendung
owie zur Haftung und Gewährlei tung befinden ich in Ab chnitt 3 und 1.2.
B-TEC machines are to be used solely in accordance with the intended use. Usage not in accordance
with the intended use as well as unauthorised modifications invalidate the liability of the manufacturer
for any damages resulting from this. Detailed information regarding intended use to as well as liability
and warranty can be read in section 3 and 1.2.

1.1 Betriebsanweisung / Operating Instructions
Der Betreiber der Hebebühne hat eine Betrieb anwei ung gemäß Betrieb icherheit verordnung
(BetrSichV) zu er tellen.
The responsible person within the company where the machine is placed has to create operating in-
structions in accordance with the "Occupational Safety and Health Regulations" applicable in the re-
spective country.
1.2 Haftung und Gewährleistung / Liability and Warranty
Die Hebebühne i t nach dem aktuellen Stand der Technik gebaut, geprüft und betrieb icher. Die
Haftung für die Funktion der Hebebühne geht in jedem Fall auf den Betreiber über oweit da Gerät
von Per onen, die nicht vom Her teller und/oder Lieferanten autori iert ind, un achgemäß gewartet
oder in tandge etzt wird oder wenn eine Handhabung erfolgt, die nicht der be timmung gemäßen
Verwendung und/oder einer Nichtbeachtung der Betrieb anleitung ent pricht. Der Anwender i t
verpflichtet, da Gerät nur in einwandfreiem Zu tand zu betreiben. Für Fehler oder Unterla ungen
haftet der Her teller - unter Au chlu weiterer An prüche - nur im Rahmen der ge etzlichen
Gewährlei tung verpflichtungen. Im Hinblick auf die tändige Weiterentwicklung und Verbe erung
un erer Produkte behalten wir un techni che Änderungen jederzeit vor. Solche Änderungen, Irrtümer
und Druckfehler begründen keinen An pruch auf Schadener atz. E ind de Weiteren au chließlich
nur original Er atz- und Zubehörteile zu verwenden. Für Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung der
Hinwei e in die er Betrieb anleitung eintreten, haften Her teller und/oder Lieferant nicht.
Gewährlei tung- und Haftung bedingungen der Verkauf - und Lieferbedingungen de Her teller und
oder Lieferanten werden durch vor tehende Hinwei e nicht erweitert.
Die Gewährlei tung fri t beträgt 36 Monate. Bei außerordentlicher Bela tung, z.B. Mehr-
chichtbetrieb, ermäßigt ich die ge etzl. Gewährlei tung fri t auf 18 Monate (Zwei chichtbetrieb)
bzw. 12 Monate (Drei chichtbetrieb). Sie beginnt mit dem Abgang der Lieferungen ab Werk. Die
Gewährlei tung erli cht vorzeitig, wenn der Be teller oder Dritte un achgemäß Änderungen oder
Reparaturen vornehmen oder wenn der Be teller, fall ein Mangel aufgetreten i t, nicht umgehend
alle geeigneten Maßnahmen zur Schaden minderung trifft und dem Lieferanten Gelegenheit gibt, den
Mangel zu beheben.
The lift is state of the art, tested and operationally safe. Liability for the function of the machine is
transferred to the operating company, if the machine is improperly maintained or repaired by persons
who are not authorised by the manufacturer and / or supplier, or if it’s used against the intended use
and the instructions of the user manual. The operator is obliged to operate the machine only when in
immaculate condition. The manufacturer is liable for errors or omissions - to the exclusion of further
claims - only within the scope of the statutory warranty obligations. We reserve the right to make
technical changes any time for continuous development and improvement of our products. Such
changes, mistakes and misprints do not constitute a claim for damages. Only original spare parts and
accessories are to be used. The manufacturer and / or supplier is not responsible for damages caused
by ignoring the instructions in this operating manual. Warranty and liability conditions of the
manufacturers and / or supplier sales and delivery terms are not extended by the above notes.
B-TEC warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, for a period of 36
months on a one shift basis. In case of exceptional usage such as multiple-shift operation, the statutory
warranty is shortened to 18 months (two-shift operation) or 12 months (three-shift operation). The
period starts from the date the machine is shipped from the factory. The guarantee expires prematurely
if the customer or a third party undertakes inappropriate modifications or repairs or if the customer, in

case of a defect, does not immediately take all appropriate steps to mitigate the damage and give the
supplier the possibility of remedying such defect.
1.3 Anforderungen an das Anwenderpersonal / Requirements to the Operator
Da Gerät darf nur von Fachkräften benutzt werden, die aufgrund ihrer Au bildung oder ihrer
Kenntni e und Erfahrung die Gewähr für eine achgerechte Handhabung bieten und über die
Gefahren unterrichtet ind (z.B. durch da Le en der Betrieb anleitung).
The machine may only be used by competent personnel who, by virtue of their training, knowledge or
experience, ensure proper handling and are aware of the dangers (for example, by reading the operat-
ing manual).
2. Sicherheitsbestimmungen / Safety Requirements
Bei nicht ordnung gemäßem Ein atz der Hebebühne be teht Gefahr für die Ge undheit de Benutzer
oder Dritter owie eine Beeinträchtigung der Hebebühne oder anderer Sach- und Vermögen werte.
B-TEC GmbH haftet nicht für eventuelle Schäden, die au un achgemäßen bzw. fal chem Gebrauch
ent tehen.
Improper use of the lift can endanger the operator's and other involved person's health. Furthermore,
damage to the lift itself or to other objects can occur. B-TEC GmbH is not liable for any damages
resulting from improper or incorrect use.
Der Her teller haftet nicht für Schäden, die auf Veränderungen oder Eingriffe am Gerät zurückzuführen
ind, welche nicht zuvor von die em au drücklich und chriftlich bewilligt wurden. Außerdem haftet
der Her teller nicht für Schäden, die auf eine Fehlanwendung, z.B. zu hohe Luft-Einla drücke, rollende
Fahrzeuge oder Fal chpo itionierung der Fahrzeuge, zurückzuführen ind.
The manufacturer is not liable for damages caused by changes of the lift that have not been specifically
authorised in written form by the manufacturer. Furthermore the manufacturer is not liable for
damages caused by misuse such as too high air-inlet pressure, rolling vehicles or improperly positioned
vehicles.
Die Entfernung oder Veränderung von Sicherheit vorrichtungen bewirkt automati ch den ofortigen
Verfall der Betrieb erlaubni und Gewährlei tung und tellt eine Verletzung der europäi chen
Sicherheit normen dar.
Any removal or modification of safety devices automatically leads to expiration of the operation
permission, liability and infringes the European safety standards.
2.1 Betriebssicherheit / Operational Safety
Hebebühne
ausschließlich
zum Anheben von Kraftfahrzeugen (

Per onenbeförderung im Fahrzeug oder auf der Hebebühne i t treng ten verboten!
Use the lift only to lift vehicles (cars)! Lifting persons in the car or on the lift is strictly
forbidden!
Die Hebebühne mu bei Betrieb chlu heruntergefahren werden! Bei längeren Arbeiten mu
tündlich geprüft werden, ob noch genug Luft im Luftfederbalg i t und ggf . Luft nachgefüllt werden.
Die Bühne darf ich nicht in der Fall icherung ab enken, ondern mu vom Luftfederbalg getragen
werden! The lift must be lowered at the end of the working day. In case of longer repair works, the
operator has to check hourly, if the pressure in the double-convolution air spring is sufficient and has
to refill if necessary. The lift must not be carried by the safety gripping device, but by the air spring.

The vehicle must be positioned centrally and secured against rolling
away.

The user has to observe the car and check its stability on the lift all the time the lift
goes up or down.

und die Hebebühne elb t auf Fremdkörper zu prüfen. In be ondere in der Nähe
de Luftfederbalg . Fremdkörper umgehend entfernen!
The user has to check the lift itself and the close surrounding for foreign object. In
particular near the double-convolution air spring. Foreign objects must be removed
before using!

the operating staff may be in the working area of the lift.

3. Technische Beschreibung und bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung der Hebebühne /
Technical escription and Intended Purpose of the Lift
Die Hebebühnen Carry und Carry XL ind pneumati che Hebebühne mit Scheren y tem für vierrädrige
Fahrzeuge mit einer La tverteilung von ca. 3:2 und einem Ge amtgewicht bi 3300 kg (Carry) bzw.
3500 kg (Carry XL). Die be timmung gemäße Verwendung i t da vorübergehende Anheben von
vierrädrigen Fahrzeugen für Karo eriearbeiten. Da Fahrzeug teht auf den Rädern, wodurch eine
Arbeit höhe von ca. 1280 mm für Karo eriearbeiten erreicht wird. Da Anheben erfolgt pneumati ch
durch einen Luftfederbalg bei tändigem Einra ten der Fall icherung. Da Ab enken erfolgt durch
Abla en der Druckluft au dem Luftfederbalg.
The lifts Carry and Carry XL are pneumatic scissor lifts for four-wheeled vehicles with a load distribution
of ca. 3:2 up to a total weight of 3300 kg (Carry) and 3500 kg (Carry XL). The intended purpose is the
temporary lifting of vehicles with four wheels for bodyworks. The vehicle stands on the wheels,
therefore it reaches a working height of ca. 1280 mm for body work. The lifting is actuated
pneumatically by an air-spring at constant latching of the safety gripping device to prevent falling.
Lowering is done by releasing the compressed-air of the air-spring.

4. Pflege und Wartung / Care and Maintenance
4.1 Regelmäßige Pflege und Sichtkontrolle / Regular Care and Visual Inspections
Bei Benutzung der Hebebühne ind regelmäßig Sichtkontrollen durchzuführen. In be ondere der
Luftfederbalg i t auf Be chädigungen und Ver chmutzungen zu prüfen und mu ggf . gereinigt bzw.
erneuert werden. Bei jedem Hub- oder Senkvorgang i t der Bereich unmittelbar um die Hebebühne
und die Hebebühne elb t auf Fremdkörper zu prüfen. In be ondere in der Nähe de Luftfederbalg .
Fremdkörper umgehend entfernen!
The operator has to do regular visual inspections. Especially the air spring has to be checked for
damages and dirt. Furthermore the lift itself and the close surrounding has to check for foreign object.
In particular near the double-convolution air spring. Foreign objects must be removed before using!
4.2 Wartung und Sicherheitsprüfung / Maintenance and Safety Inspection
Die Hebebühne i t jährlich einer Sicherheit prüfung nach BetrSichV §10 (2) zu unterziehen und nach
Vordruck in Ab chnitt 9 ent prechend zu dokumentieren. Die Hebebühne i t zudem minde ten einmal
im Jahr voll tändig zu warten. Dabei i t Folgende zu beachten:
The lift needs a yearly safety inspection according to BetrSichV §10 (2). This has to be documented in
writing according to the form sheet in section 9. Full Service/Maintenance has to be done at least once
a year and includes at least the following:
•Sämtliche beweglichen Teile ind zu reinigen (Nicht mit einem Hochdruckreiniger oder
Dampfreiniger) und mit ilikonfreiem Fett einzufetten. In be ondere die Gelenkbolzen, die
Scheren, die Gleit tücke und die Fall icherung.
All moving parts have to be cleaned (Don’t use high-pressure or steam cleaners) and greased with
silicone-free grease. Especially the hinge-bolts, the scissors, the sliding blocks and the safety
gripping device.
•Alle Schrauben auf Fe tigkeit überprüfen und gelockerte Schrauben nachziehen.
Check all bolts and tighten loose bolts.
•Bodenanker auf Fe tigkeit überprüfen und ggf . nachziehen/erneuern.
Check anchor bolts in ground and tighten/renew if necessary.
•Da Sicherheit ventil i t minde ten alle 2 Jahre au zutau chen.
The safety-valve has to be changed every two years.
•Bei täglichem Gebrauch mü en ämtliche Schläuche minde ten alle 5 Jahre gewech elt werden.
If you work daily with the lift, you have to change every hose after 5 years.
•Der Luftfederbalg ollte aufgrund natürlicher Alterung de Gummi alle 8 Jahre getau cht werden.
The air-spring should be replaced every 8 years due to the natural aging process of rubber.
Vermeiden Sie den ontakt des
Luftfederbalgs
mit Schmiermittel, Benzin, Verdünner oder
jeglichen anderen Substanzen, die das Gummi des Balgs angreifen!
Avoid contact of the air-spring with grease, gasoline, paint-thinner or other substances that
attack the rubber!
Wir weisen darauf hin, dass ausschließlich B
-
TEC Ersatzteile verwendet werden dürfen.
Andernfalls erlischt die Betriebserlaubnis!
The operating permission is invalidated, if other than original B-TEC spare parts are used!

5. Bedienung / Operation
Anheben / Lifting
1. Heruntergefahrene Hebebühne über die Auffahrrampen in Läng richtung befahren und mittig
po itionieren. Handbrem e anziehen und Gang einlegen (Bzw. Parkpo ition bei Automatik
Fahrzeugen). Fahrzeug gegen Wegrollen ichern.
Drive on the lowered lift to a central position, apply parking brake and engage the first gear (Or
parking position in case of automatic vehicles). Secure the vehicle against rolling away.
2. Handventil in "auf"-Stellung bringen um die Hebebühne anzuheben. Während de Heben auf
icheren Stand de Fahrzeug achten.
Put the hand-valve in "auf"-position to lift the platform. During lifting, please observe the car and
check its stability on the lift.
3. Wenn die gewün chte Höhe oder der maximale Hub erreicht i t, Hebel in 0-Stellung bringen.
Stellen Sie icher, da die Fall icherung auf der gewün chten Höhe beid eitig in der Verzahnung
eingreift. Die i t an einem deutlichen Klack-Geräu ch während de Hochfahren zu erkennen.
If the wished or maximum height is reached, put the hand-valve in 0-position. Ensure that the safety
gripping device snaps in properly at the wished height. A clear clicking sound indicates snapping.
Das Handventil darf

mit einem Gegenstand verklemmt oder nach Erreichen der
maximalen Höhe in „auf“-Stellung gehalten werden!

Absenken / Lowering
Zum Ab enken Handhebelventil in "ab"-Stellung bringen und unter Beobachtung der Hebebühne, der
näheren Umgebung und de Fahrzeuge die Hebebühne bi zur End tellung bringen. Halten Sie da
Handhebelventil in "ab"-Stellung bi keine Luft mehr au dem Handhebelventil au tritt und da
Manometer 0 bar anzeigt.
For lowering, put the hand-valve to position "ab". While lowering the lift, please observe the lift, the
surroundings and the car. If the lift has reached the lowest position, drive the car slowly and carefully
from the lift. Keep the hand-valve in position "ab" until no more air leaves through the hand-valve and
the manometer shows 0 bar.
Vor dem Absenken darauf achten, dass sich kein Hindernis oder Mensch im Bereich
der Hebebühne befindet.
Before lowering, ensure that there is no object or person in the area of the lift!

Eventually you have to lift up the lift first ("auf"-position), before lowering the lift is possible.
Das Manometer am Handhebelventil muss 0 bar anzeigen, bevor das Fahrzeug
langsam von der Bühne gefahren werden kann.
Ensure that the manometer shows 0 bar before driving the car slowly from the lift!
Wenn die Funktionen der Hebebühne nicht oder nur einge chränkt funktionieren, kontrollieren Sie
die e bitte unter Zuhilfenahme der in Ab chnitt 6 be chriebenen möglichen Störung ur achen. Sollten
die Probleme weiterhin be tehen, kontaktieren Sie bitte den techni chen Kundendien t.
If the lift does not or only partially work, check it with help of the li t in ection 6. If the problem still
persists, contact the technical customer support.
6. Störungsbehebung / Troubleshooting
6.1 Hebebühne sinkt nicht ab / Lift doesn´t go down
•Bei längerer Standzeit im hochgefahrenen Zu tand, kontrollieren Sie, ob die pneumati chen
Komponenten unter Druck tehen. Unter Um tänden mu die Bühne zunäch t angehoben
werden ("auf"-Stellung), damit die ie an chließend wieder heruntergela en werden kann.
If the lift remains for a longer time in lifted position, ensure that the pneumatic components are
still under pressure. Eventually you have to lift up the lift first ("auf"-position), before lowering the
lift is possible.
•Kontrollieren Sie, ob der pneumati che Kurzhubzylinder der Fall icherung funktioniert.
Check if the pneumatic short stroke cylinder of safety gripping device still works.
•Stellen Sie icher, da die Fall icherung, die Scheren und die Gleitführungen nicht blockiert ind.
Ensure that the safety gripping device, the scissors and the slide ways are not blocked.
•Stellen Sie icher, da die Pneumatikleitungen nicht be chädigt ind.
Ensure that the pneumatic hoses are not damaged.
6.2 Hebebühne fährt nicht hoch / Lift doesn´t go up
•Stellen Sie icher, da die pneumati chen Komponenten unter Druck tehen.
Ensure that the pneumatic components are under pressure.
•Stellen Sie icher, da die Pneumatikleitungen nicht be chädigt ind.
Ensure that the pneumatic hoses are not damaged.
•Stellen Sie icher, dass die Scheren und die Gleitführungen nicht blockiert sind
Ensure that the scissors and the slide ways are not blocked.
6.3 Fallsicherung rastet nicht ein / Safety gripping device doesn´t latch
•Stellen Sie icher, da die Haltebolzen der Fall icherung rotieren können.
Ensure that the hinge-bolts of the safety gripping device can rotate.

8. Aufstellung / Installation
8.1 Einsatzort / Installation Site
•Die Hebebühne benötigt am Auf tellung ort einen Druckluftan chlu (max. 8 bar, nur ölfreie und
trockene Luft einsetzen). Sollte Ihr Druckluftan chlu die geforderten Betrieb drücke über teigen,
mu unbedingt ein Druckminderer einge etzt werden.
A compressed air supply at the operational site is needed for the lift (max. 8 bar, only oil-free and
dry air). A pressure regulating valve has to be fitted if the compressed air connection exceeds the
re uired operating pressure.
•Die Hebebühne kann in einem Temperaturbereich zwi chen 10°C und 70°C betrieben werden. Ein
dauerhafter Betrieb oberhalb von 50°C kann zu einer Verkürzung der Leben dauer de Luftbalg
führen.
The lift can be used at temperatures between 10°C and 70°C. A continuous usage at temperatures
above 50°C can shorten the lifetime of the air spring.
•Bei Betrieb der Hebebühne in einer explo ion fähigen Atmo phäre (Ex-Zone) i t da angehobene
Fahrzeug kunden eitig an einem Punkt in der Kabine, nicht aber an der Hebebühne, zu erden.
If the lift is used in an explosive atmosphere (Ex-zone), the vehicle has to be grounded separately.
Don’t use the lift itself for grounding.
•Vor Auf tellen der Hebebühne i t für ein au reichende Fundament zu orgen. Die Auf tellfläche
mu planeben und au reichend groß ein für die in Ab chnitt 3 aufgeführten Bühnenmaße. Der
Boden mu minde ten au dem folgenden Zementtyp be tehen.
Ensure a sufficient foundation before assembling the lift. The ground has to be planar and sufficient
for the dimensions shown in section 3. The ground should be built up at least of the following
concrete-type.
