User’s Guide 1-1
Chapter 1: Installation
Introduction
Sky2PC is a broadband digital receiver PCI card or USB box for bringing Internet, data services, and digi-
tal television to your PC via high-speed satellite link. The satellite link is unidirectional: downloads are by
satellite while uploads and data requests use dialup, ISDN, or LAN connection. To install Sky2PC, verify
that your PC meets the system requirements.
For PCI: fit the digital receiver card into an unused PCI slot in your PC. For USB: connect the Sky2PC
USB box to an unused USB port in your PC. When the new device is detected, use the instructions for your
particular Windows operating system to install the driver. Then launch the software installation from the
installation CD.
In most cases, completion of Chapters 1 and 2 of this User’s Guide is all that is needed to establish fully
functional digital TV, Internet, and data service.
