usage of the device by reading and following
each chapter of this manual, in the order
presented. Keep these operating instruc-
tions for further reference.
Please read the enclosed “General safety
instructions for power tools” and all
additional safety instructions in this
operating instructions!
This manual contains important information
on operating and handling the device. Keep
these operating instructions for further
reference. Please pass it on along with the
unit if it is handed over to a third party.
Battery and charger not included!
The Maxxpack batteries and chargers are
available online and in participating stores.
1. Explanation of the symbols
The following symbols are used in the user
manual or on the product:
Warning! To reduce the risk of
injury, the user must read the
instruction manual.
Denotes risk of personal injury, loss
of life or damage to the tool in case
of non-observance of the instruc-
tions in this manual.
Always wear hearing protection.
The effects of noise can cause
hearing loss.
Wear safety glasses. When working
with electric power tools, sparks,
splinters, chips and dust particles
may be generated and these can
cause loss of sight.
Wear protective headgear.
Wear safety gloves.
Wear sturdy shoes.
Do not expose to rain or water.
Beware of kickback.
CE stands for “Conformité
Européenne”, which means “In
accordance with EU Regulations”.
With the CE marking, the manufac-
turer conrms that this Electric tool
complies with the applicable Euro-
pean directives.
Do not dispose of electric power
tools with domestic refuse.
2. Additional safety instructions for
chain saw
a. Keep the chain saw out of reach of
children. It is not a toy.
b. Please note the warning symbols. They
mark all those instructions which are
important for safety reasons. Observe
these instructions as failure to do so
could result in serious injury!
c. The chain saw must be used only by
one person at a time. Make sure
bystanders do not stay in the vicinity of
the chain saw’s work area.
d. Check the safe operating condition of
the chain saw, in particular the guide
bar and the saw chain, before each
operation.
e. Always have a safe stand when working
with the saw.
f.

g. Make sure the guide bar and the saw
chain must be free when switched on
and must not come into contact with
the workpiece to be cut.
h. Guide the chain saw onto the workpiece
only when switched on. Otherwise there
is a risk of kickback if the saw chain
gets caught in the workpiece.
i. When the cut is completed, switch off
the machine and then pull the saw
chain out of the cut only after it has
come to a standstill. This way you can
avoid kickback.
j. Clamp the material to be processed
well. Do not support the workpiece with
your hand or foot. Do not touch objects

k. When sawing converted timber and thin
branches always use a strong support,
such as a sawing trestle. Do not stack
timber pieces.
l. Before cutting logs, secure the logs in
position.
m. When working on sloping ground, make
sure to work facing upwards.
n. Be particularly careful when cutting
splintered wood. Splinters of wood can
be torn along by the saw chain and
increase the risk of injury!
o. Foreign objects such as nails, screws,
metal parts, sand, etc. lead to increased
wear on the guide bar and saw chain.
p. A blunt saw chain can cause overheat-
ing and damage to the motor.
q. Always pull out the battery when check-
ing the chain tension, to re-tighten it, to
mount the saw chain and to eliminate
faults! Also remove the battery if you do
not use the machine temporarily.
3. Safety instructions for chain
saws
3.1 General chain saw safety warnings:
a. Keep all parts of the body away from
the saw chain when the chain saw is
operating. Before you start the chain
saw, make sure the saw chain is not
contacting anything. A moment of
inattention while operating chain saws
may cause entanglement of your cloth-
ing or body with the saw chain.
b. Always hold the chain saw with your
right hand on the rear handle and your
left hand on the front handle. Holding
the chain saw with a reversed hand
-
sonal injury and should never be done.
c. Hold the chain saw by insulated grip-
ping surfaces only, because the saw
chain may contact hidden wiring. Saw
chains contacting a “live” wire may
make exposed metal parts of the chain
saw “live’” and could give the operator
an electric shock.
d. Wear hearing and eye protection. Fur-
ther protective equipment for head,
hands, legs and feet is recommended.
Adequate protective equipment will
debris or accidental contact with the
saw chain.
e. Do not operate a chain saw in a tree.
Operation of a chain saw while up in a
tree may result in personal injury.
f. Always keep proper footing and oper-
ate the chain saw only when standing
on xed, secure and level surface.
Slippery or unstable surfaces may
cause a loss of balance or control of the
chain saw.
g. When cutting a limb that is under ten-
sion, be alert for spring back. When
released, the spring loaded limb may
strike the operator and/or throw the
chain saw out of control.
h. Use extreme caution when cutting
brush and saplings. The slender mate-
rial may catch the saw chain and be
whipped toward you or pull you off
balance.
i. Carry the chain saw by the handle with
the chain saw switched off and away
from your body. When transporting or
storing the chain saw, always t the
guide bar cover Proper handling of the
chain saw will reduce the likelihood of
accidental contact with the moving saw
chain.
j. Follow instructions for lubricating,
chain tensioning and changing the bar
and chain. Improperly tensioned or
lubricated chain may either break or
increase the chance for kickback.
k. Cut wood only. Do not use chain saw
for purposes not intended. For exam-
ple: do not use chain saw for cutting
metal, plastic, masonry or non-wood
building materials. Use of the chain
saw for operations different than
intended could result in a hazardous
situation.
l. Follow all instructions when clearing
jammed material, storing or servicing
the chain saw. Make sure the switch is
off and the battery pack is removed.
Unexpected actuation of the chain saw
while clearing jammed material or ser-

vicing may result in serious personal
injury.
m. Before starting work, check that the
chain saw is in proper working order
and that its condition complies with
the safety regulations. Check in par-
ticular that:
— The chain brake is working properly;
— The run-down brake is working properly;
—
correctly;
— The chain has been sharpened and ten-
sioned in accordance with the
regulations.
n. Do not start the chain saw with the
chain cover being installed on it. Start-
ing the chain saw with the chain cover
being installed on it may cause the
chain cover to thrown out forward
resulting in personal injury and damage
to objects around the operator.
4. Causes and operator prevention
of kickback
Kickback may occur when the nose or tip of
the guide bar touches an object, or when the
wood closes in and pinches the saw chain
in the cut.
Tip contact in some cases may cause a
sudden reverse reaction, kicking the guide
bar up and back towards the operator.
Pinching the saw chain along the top of the
guide bar may push the guide bar rapidly
back towards the operator.
Either of these reactions may cause you to
lose control of the saw which could result in
serious personal injury. Do not rely exclu-
sively upon the safety devices built into your
saw. As a chain saw user, you should take
several steps to keep your cutting jobs free
from accident or injury.
(See Fig. B). Kickback is the result of chain
saw misuse and/or incorrect operating
procedures or conditions and can be
avoided by taking proper precautions as
given below:
a. Maintain a rm grip, with thumb and
ngers encircling the saw handle and
position your body and arm to allow
you to resist kickback forces. Kickback
forces can be controlled by the opera-
tor, if proper precautions are taken. Do
not let go of the saw.
b. Do not overreach and do not cut above
shoulder height. This helps prevent
unintended tip contact and enables
better control of the chain saw in unex-
pected situations.
c. Only use replacement guide bars and
saw chains specied by the manufac-
turer. Incorrect replacement guide bars
and saw chains may cause chain break-
age and/or kickback.
d. Follow the manufacturer’s sharpening
and maintenance instructions for the
saw chain. Decreasing the depth gauge
height can lead to increased kickback.
5. Before the rst use
Remove the machine and all accessories
from the package. Keep the packaging
materials out of the reach of small children.
There is a danger of suffocation!

7. Intended use
• The chain saw has been exclusively
designed for pruning and sawing small
and medium trees.
• The intended use also includes an opera-
tion following the operating instructions.
8. Use
8.1 Mounting / changing the saw chain
and guide bar
(See Fig. F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M).
Always wear gloves when handling the
saw chain.
Remove the batteries from the machine.
The saw chain and the guide bar
are still hot just after the operation.
Let them cool down enough before
carrying out any work on the tool.

To mount/change the saw chain, perform
the following steps:
a. Pull the lever (5) up while pressing its
edge (See Fig. F).
b. Turn the adjusting dial (6) -
tion to release the saw chain tension
(See Fig. G).
c. Turn the lever (5) counter-clockwise
until the sprocket cover (18) comes off
(See Fig. H).
d. Remove the sprocket cover then
remove the saw chain (4) and guide bar
(3) from the chain saw body.
To install the saw chain, perform the follow-
ing steps:
a. Make sure the direction of the chain is
correct. The arrow mark on the chain
shows the direction of the chain (See
Fig. I).
b. Fit in one end of the saw chain on the
top of the guide bar (3) and the other
end around the sprocket (19).
c. Rest the guide bar in place on the chain
saw.
d.
slide the adjusting pin (J1) in the direc-
tion of arrow (See Fig. J).
e. Place the sprocket cover on the chain
saw so that the adjusting pin (J1) is
positioned in a small hole (K1) on the
guide bar (See Fig. K).
f. Turn the lever clockwise fully and a
quarter turn back to keep looseness for
adjusting the chain tension.
g. Turn the adjusting dial to adjust the
chain tension.
h. Turn the lever clockwise until the
sprocket cover is secured then return it
to the original position.(See Fig. L).
8.2 Adjusting saw chain tension
Do not tighten the saw chain too
much. Excessively high tension of
saw chain may cause breakage of
saw chain, wear of the guide bar
and breakage of the adjusting dial.
A chain which is too loose can
jump off the bar and it may cause
an injury accident.
The saw chain may become loose after
many hours of use. From time to time check
the saw chain tension before use.
a. Press and fully open the lever (5) until it
clicks. Turn it counter-clockwise a little
to loosen sprocket cover lightly (See
Fig. H).
b. Lift up the guide bar tip slightly and
adjust the chain tension. Turn the
adjusting dial (6)
loosen, turn to the “+” direction to
tighten. (See Fig. M).
c. Keep holding the guide bar lightly and
tighten the sprocket cover. Make sure
that the saw chain does not loosen at
the lower side.
d. Return the lever to the original position
(See Fig. L).

8.3 Lubrication
The saw chain is automatically lubricated
when the tool is in operation. Check the
amount of remaining oil in the oil tank
periodically.

When lling the chain oil for the rst time,
or relling the tank after it has been com-
pletely emptied, add oil up to the bottom
edge of the ller neck. The oil delivery
may otherwise be impaired.
NOTICE: Use saw chain oil exclusively for
chain saws or equivalent oil available in the
market.
NOTICE: Never use oil including dust and
particles or volatile oil.
NOTICE: When pruning trees, use botanical
oil. Mineral oil may harm trees.
8.4 Switching ON and OFF
(See Fig. A, B, C, D).
a. Insert the batteries into the machine.
b.

c. Press the main power switch (17) until
the main power lamp (16) lights up. To

turn off, press the main power switch
again (See Fig. A).
d. To prevent the switch trigger from being
accidentally pulled, a lock-off lever is
provided. To start the tool, depress the
lock-off lever (9) and pull the switch
trigger (11) (See Fig. D).
e. Release the switch trigger to stop.
8.5 Checking the chain brake
(See Fig. E).
Caution! Should the saw chain not stop
immediately when this test is performed,
the saw may not be used under any circum-
stances. Consult our authorized service
centre.
a. Press the main power switch (17)until
the main power lamp lights (16) up.
b. Depress the lock-off lever (9), then pull
the switch trigger (11). The saw chain
starts immediately.
c. Push the front hand guard (2) forwards
with the back of your hand. Make sure
that the chain saw comes to an imme-
diate standstill.
8.6 Checking the run-down brake
Caution! If the saw chain does not stop
within one second in this test, stop using

a. Press the main power switch (17) until
the main power lamp (16) lights up.
b. Depress the lock-off lever (9), then pull
the switch trigger (11). The saw chain
starts immediately

The saw chain must come to a stand-

8.7 Working with the chain saw
Caution!

Bring the bottom edge of the chain saw
body into contact with the branch to be cut
before switching on. Otherwise it may
cause the guide bar to wobble, resulting in
injury to operator. Saw the wood to be cut
by just moving it down by using the weight
of the chain saw (See Fig. O).
If you cannot cut the timber right through
with a single stroke: Apply light pressure to
the handle and continue sawing and draw
the chain saw back a little; then apply the
by raising the handle (See Fig. P).
8.8 Bucking
(See Fig. P).
a. Rest the bottom edge of the chain saw
body on the wood to be cut.
b. With the saw chain running, saw into
the wood while using the rear handle to
raise the saw and the front one to guide
it. Use the spike bumper as a pivot.
c. Continue the cut by applying slight
pressure to the front handle, easing the
saw back slightly. Move the spike
bumper further down the timber and
raise the front handle again.
NOTICE: When making several cuts, switch
the chain saw off between cuts.
Caution! If the upper edge of the bar is used
in your direction if the chain becomes
trapped. For this reason, cut with the lower
from your body (See Fig. V).
8.9 Changing the saw chain
• Only handle the saw chain with gloves
• Inspect the saw chain and the guide bar
for damage or signs of wear.

8.10 Sharpen the saw chain
• The saw teeth must be sharpened if the
sawdust becomes powdery, if additional
force is required for the incision, if a
straight incision is no longer possible or
if the vibrations become stronger.
• Blunt saw chains should be
re-sharpened.
• To sharpen the chain use a chain sharp-
ener, make sure you sharpen the chain at
a correct angle.
• Or have the chain re-sharpened profes-
sionally (advised).
• Replace the saw chain if there is consid-
erable damage that cannot be repaired
8.11 Cleaning the guide bar
(See Fig. Q, R, S).
• Thoroughly clean the notch of the guide
bar.
• Replace the guide bar if the guide groove
is damaged or worn and the saw chain
has too much lateral space.
Small dust or particles may be built up in
the oil discharge hole (S2) during operation.
These dust or particles may impair the oil to
the whole saw chain. When a poor chain oil
delivery occurs at the top of guide bar, clean
the oil discharge hole (S2) as follows.
a. Remove the sprocket cover (18) and
saw chain from the tool.
b. Remove the small dust or particles (See
Fig. S).
8.12 Replacing the sprocket

A worn sprocket will damage a new saw
chain. Have the sprocket replaced in this
case
(U1) when
replacing the sprocket (19) (See Fig. U).
9. Maintenance, cleaning and
storing
For best performance, always keep the saw
chain and the chain saw in good order.
Remove the battery pack from the tool
before carrying out any adjustment, servic-
ing or maintenance.
• Clean the sprocket area with a brush or
compressed air. (See Fig. R).
• Use a cloth, a paintbrush or a brush to
remove dust and wood splinters. Always
keep the ventilation slots clean and free
from obstructions.
• We recommend that you clean your
electric power tool immediately after
each use.
• Clean the electric power tool regularly
with a damp cloth and somewhat soft
soap. Do not use any cleaning or solvent
materials; these can attack the device’s
plastic components. Make sure that no
water can get inside the electric power
tool.
• Do not let liquids of any kind enter the
chain saw.
• From time to time check that all screws
• Store the chain saw and the accessory
indoors in a dry place that is protected
from dust, dirt and extreme
temperatures.
• Store the chain saw out of reach of chil-
dren and persons in need of supervision.

10.1 Vibration level
The declared vibration total value and the
declared noise emission values have been
measured in accordance with a standard
test method (EN 62841) and may be used
for comparing one tool with another. The
declared vibration total value may also be
used in a preliminary assessment of
exposure.
Warning!
The vibration and noise emission during
actual use of the power tool can differ from
the declared total value depending on the
ways in which the tool is used, in particular,
what kind of work piece is machined.
It is necessary to identify safety measured
to protect the operator that are based on an
estimation of exposure in the actual condi-
tions of use (taking account of all parts of
the operating cycle such as the times when

2. Zusätzliche Sicherheitshinweise
für Kettensäge
a. Halten Sie die Kettensäge außerhalb der
Reichweite von Kindern. Das Gerät ist
kein Spielzeug.
b. Beachten Sie alle Hinweissymbole. Sie
kennzeichnen Anweisungen, die für die
Sicherheit wichtig sind. Befolgen Sie die
Anweisungen, andernfalls können
schwere Verletzungen die Folge sein!
c. Die Kettensäge darf immer nur von
einer Person bedient werden. Achten
Sie darauf, dass andere Personen sich
nicht im Arbeitsbereich der Kettensäge
aufhalten.
d. Prüfen Sie vor jeder Inbetriebnahme
den sicheren Zustand der Säge, insbe-
sondere des Schwertes und der Kette.
e. Sorgen Sie bei der Arbeit für einen
sicheren Stand.
f. Halten Sie die Maschine beim Einschal-
ten gut und sicher fest.
g. Das Schwert und die Sägekette müssen
beim Einschalten frei stehen und dürfen
keinen Kontakt zu dem zu bearbeiten-
den Werkstück haben.
h. Führen Sie die Kettensäge nur einge-
schaltet auf das Werkstück. Es besteht
sonst die Gefahr eines Rückschlages,
wenn sich die Sägekette im Werkstück
verhakt.
i. Schalten Sie nach Beendigung des
Arbeitsvorgangs die Kettensäge aus
und ziehen Sie die Sägekette erst dann
aus dem Schnitt, wenn sie zum Still-
stand gekommen ist. So vermeiden Sie
einen Rückschlag.
j. Spannen Sie das Material gut fest. Stüt-
zen Sie das Werkstück nicht mit der
Hand oder dem Fuß ab. Berühren Sie

keine Gegenstände oder den Erdboden

nem Gehölz verwenden Sie immer eine

splitter können durch die Sägekette
mitgerissen werden und eine erhöhte
Verletzungsgefahr bedeuten!
o. Fremdkörper wie Nägel, Schrauben,
Metallteile, Sand, etc. führen zu erhöh-
tem Verschleiß an Schwert und
Sägekette.
p. Eine stumpfe Sägekette kann Überhit-
zung und Schäden am Motor
verursachen.
q. Zur Nachprüfung der Kettenspannung,
zum Nachspannen, zur Montage der
Sägekette und zur Beseitigung von
Störungen ziehen Sie immer den Akku
heraus! Entnehmen Sie den Akku eben-
falls, wenn Sie das Gerät zeitweise nicht
benutzen.
3. Sicherheitshinweise für
Kettensägen
3.1 Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise für
Kettensägen
a. Halten Sie bei laufender Säge alle
Körperteile von der Sägekette fern.
Vergewissern Sie sich vor dem Starten
der Säge, dass die Sägekette nichts
berührt. Beim Arbeiten mit einer Ket-
tensäge kann ein Moment der Unacht-
samkeit dazu führen, dass Bekleidung
oder Körperteile von der Sägekette
erfasst werden.
b. Halten Sie die Kettensäge stets mit
Ihrer rechten Hand am hinteren Hand-
griff und mit Ihrer linken Hand am
vorderen Handgriff. Das Halten der
Kettensäge mit vertauschter Handhal-
tung führt zu erhöhter Verletzungsge-
fahr und ist daher unbedingt zu
vermeiden.
c. Halten Sie die Kettensäge nur an den
isolierten Griffächen, da die Säge-
kette verborgene Stromleitungen tref-
fen kann. Der Kontakt der Sägekette
mit einer spannungsführenden Leitung
kann auch metallene Geräteteile unter
Spannung setzen und zu einem elektri-
schen Schlag führen.
d. Tragen Sie Gehör- und Augenschutz.
Weitere Schutzausrüstung für Kopf,
Hände, Beine und Füße wird empfoh-
len. Passende Schutzkleidung mindert
-
gendes Spanmaterial und zufälliges
Berühren der Sägekette.
e. Betreiben Sie die Kettensäge nicht in
einem Baum. Der Betrieb der Ketten-
säge in einer Baumkrone kann zu Ver-
letzungen führen.
f. Achten Sie immer auf festen Stand
und benutzen Sie die Kettensäge nur,
wenn Sie auf festem, sicherem und
ebenem Grund stehen. Rutschiger
können zum Verlust des Gleichgewichts
oder zum Verlust der Kontrolle über die
Kettensäge führen.
g. Rechnen Sie beim Schneiden eines
unter Spannung stehenden Astes
damit, dass dieser zurückfedert. Wenn
die Spannung in den Holzfasern frei-
kommt, kann der gespannte Ast den
Benutzer treffen und/oder die Ketten-
säge der Kontrolle entreißen.
h. Seien Sie besonders vorsichtig beim
Schneiden von Unterholz und jungen
Bäumen. Das dünne Material kann sich
in der Sägekette verfangen und auf Sie
schlagen oder Sie aus dem Gleichge-
wicht bringen.
i. Tragen Sie die Kettensäge am Griff im
ausgeschalteten Zustand, die Säge-
kette von Ihrem Körper abgewandt.
Bei Transport oder Aufbewahrung der
Kettensäge stets die Schutzabde-
ckung aufziehen. Sorgfältiger Umgang
mit der Kettensäge verringert die Wahr-

scheinlichkeit einer versehentlichen
Berührung mit der laufenden Sägekette.
j. Befolgen Sie Anweisungen für die
Schmierung, die Kettenspannung und
das Wechseln von Führungsschiene
und Kette. Eine unsachgemäß
gespannte oder geschmierte Kette kann
entweder reißen oder das Rückschlagri-
siko erhöhen.
k. Nur Holz sägen. Die Kettensäge nicht
für Arbeiten verwenden, für die sie
nicht bestimmt ist. Beispiel: Verwen-
den Sie die Kettensäge nicht zum
Sägen von Metall, Plastik, Mauerwerk
oder Baumaterialien, die nicht aus
Holz sind. Die Verwendung der Ketten-
säge für nicht bestimmungsgemäße
Arbeiten kann zu gefährlichen Situatio-
nen führen.
l. Befolgen Sie alle Anweisungen, wenn
Sie die Kettensäge von Materialan-
sammlungen befreien, lagern oder
Wartungsarbeiten durchführen. Verge-
wissern Sie sich, dass der Schalter
ausgeschaltet und die Einschaltsperre
sich in Sperrposition bendet. Ein
unerwarteter Betrieb der Kettensäge
beim Entfernen von Materialansamm-
lungen oder während Wartungsarbeiten
kann zu ernsthaften Verletzungen
führen.
m. Stellen Sie vor Arbeitsbeginn sicher,
dass die Kettensäge in einwandfreiem
Betriebszustand ist, und dass ihr
Zustand den Sicherheitsvorschriften
entspricht. Prüfen Sie insbesondere,
dass:
— die Kettenbremse einwandfrei
funktioniert;
— die Auslaufbremse einwandfrei
funktioniert;
— Schwert und Kettenraddeckel korrekt
angebracht sind;
— die Kette vorschriftsmäßig geschärft und
gespannt worden ist.
n. Schalten Sie die Kettensäge nicht mit
noch angebrachtem Kettenschutz ein.
Wird die Kettensäge mit noch ange-
brachtem Kettenschutz eingeschaltet,
kann der Kettenschutz nach vorn her-
ausgeschleudert werden, was zu Perso-
nenschäden und Beschädigung von
Gegenständen im Umfeld des Bedien-
ers führen kann.
4. Ursachen und Vermeidung eines
Rückschlags
Rückschlag kann auftreten, wenn die Spitze
der Führungsschiene einen Gegenstand
berührt oder wenn das Holz sich biegt und
die Sägekette im Schnitt festklemmt.
Eine Berührung mit der Schienenspitze kann
in manchen Fällen zu einer unerwarteten
nach hinten gerichteten Reaktion führen, bei
der die Führungsschiene nach oben und in
Richtung des Benutzers geschlagen wird.
Das Verklemmen der Sägekette an der
Oberkante der Führungsschiene kann die
Schiene rasch in Benutzerrichtung
zurückstoßen.
Jede dieser Reaktionen kann dazu führen,
dass Sie die Kontrolle über die Säge verlie-
ren und sich möglicherweise schwer verlet-
zen. Verlassen Sie sich nicht ausschließlich
auf die in der Kettensäge eingebauten
Sicherheitseinrichtungen. Als Benutzer einer
Kettensäge sollten Sie verschiedene Maß-
nahmen ergreifen, um unfall- und verlet-
zungsfrei zu arbeiten.
(Siehe Abb. B) Ein Rückschlag ist die Folge
eines falschen oder fehlerhaften Gebrauchs
der Kettensäge. Er kann durch geeignete
Vorsichtsmaßnahmen, wie nachfolgend
beschrieben, verhindert werden:
a. Halten Sie die Säge mit beiden Hän-
den fest, wobei Daumen und Finger
die Griffe der Kettensäge umschlie-
ßen. Bringen Sie Ihren Körper und die
Arme in eine Stellung, in der Sie den
Rückschlagkräften standhalten kön-
nen. Wenn geeignete Maßnahmen
getroffen werden, kann der Benutzer die
Rückschlagkräfte beherrschen. Niemals
die Kettensäge loslassen.
b. Vermeiden Sie eine abnormale Körper-
haltung und sägen Sie nicht über
Schulterhöhe. Dadurch wird ein unbe-
absichtigtes Berühren mit der Schienen-
spitze vermieden und eine bessere
Kontrolle der Kettensäge in unerwarte-
ten Situationen ermöglicht.

c. Verwenden Sie stets vom Hersteller
vorgeschriebene Ersatzschienen und
Sägeketten. Falsche Ersatzschienen
und Sägeketten können zum Reißen der
Kette und/oder zu Rückschlag führen.
d. Halten Sie sich an die Anweisungen
des Herstellers für das Schärfen und
die Wartung der Sägekette. Zu niedrige
Tiefenbegrenzer erhöhen die Neigung
zum Rückschlag
5. Vor der ersten Benutzung
Nehmen Sie das Gerät und alle Zubehörteile
aus der Verpackung. Bewahren Sie das
Verpackungsmaterial außerhalb der Reich-
weite von Kindern auf. Es besteht
Erstickungsgefahr!

7. Bestimmungsgemäßer
Gebrauch
• Die Kettensäge ist ausschließlich zum
Beschneiden und Sägen von kleinen
und mittelgroßen Bäumen bestimmt.
• Zur bestimmungsgemäßen Verwen-
dung gehört auch das Einhalten der
Anleitung.
8. Bedienung
8.1 Demontieren oder Montieren der
Sägekette + Schwert
(Siehe Abb. F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M).
Tragen Sie stets Handschuhe, wenn Sie
die Sägekette handhaben.
Entfernen Sie die Batterien aus der
Maschine.
VORSICHT: Sägekette und Schwert
sind unmittelbar nach dem Betrieb
noch heiß. Lassen Sie die Teile
ausreichend abkühlen, bevor Sie
irgendwelche Arbeiten am Werk-
zeug ausführen.
Zum Montieren/Wechseln der Sägekette
müssen die folgenden Schritte ausgeführt
werden:
a. Den Hebel (5) hochziehen, während auf
seine Kante gedrückt wird.
b. Das Stellrad (6) in Richtung „–“ drehen,
um die Sägekettenspannung zu
verringern.
c. Den Hebel (5) entgegen dem Uhrzeiger-
sinn drehen, bis sich der Kettenradde-
ckel (18) löst.
d. Den Kettenraddeckel entfernen, und
dann die Sägekette (4) und das Schwert
(3) vom Kettensägen-Hauptteil
abnehmen.
Zum Anbringen der Sägekette müssen die
folgenden Schritte ausgeführt werden:
a. Die Laufrichtung der Kette sicherstellen.
Die Pfeilmarke auf der Kette gibt die
Laufrichtung der Kette an.
b. Das eine Ende der Sägekette auf die
Oberkante des Schwerts (3), und das
andere Ende um das Kettenrad (19)
legen.
c. Das Schwert auf die Kettensäge legen.
d. Das Stellrad in Richtung „–“ drehen, um
den Einstellstift (J1) in Pfeilrichtung zu
schieben.
e. Den Kettenraddeckel auf die Kettensäge
setzen, so dass der Einstellstift (J1) in
einem der kleinen Löcher (K1) des
Schwerts ruht.
f. Den Hebel vollständig im Uhrzeigersinn
und dann um eine Viertelumdrehung
zurück drehen, um etwas Durchhang
zum Einstellen der Kettenspannung zu
erhalten.
g. Das Stellrad drehen, um die Kettenspan-
nung einzustellen.
h. Den Hebel im Uhrzeigersinn drehen, bis
der Kettenraddeckel gesichert ist, dann
auf die Ausgangsposition
zurückdrehen.
8.2 Einstellen der Sägekettenspannung
VORSICHT: VORSICHT: Straffen Sie
die Sägekette nicht zu sehr. Eine
übermäßig hohe Spannung der
Sägekette kann zu einem Bruch der
