Thank you for purchasing our Generator. It was carefully engineered to provide excellent performance when
properly operated and maintained.
Please read this entire manual prior to operating the Generator. It instructs you how to safely and easily set
up, operate and maintain your Generator. Please be sure that you and any other persons who will operate
the Generator carefully follow the recommended safety practices at all times. Failure to do so could result in
personal injury or property damage.
All information in this manual is relative to the most recent product information available at the time of printing.
Review this manual frequently to familiarise yourself with the machine, its features and operation. Please be
aware that this Owner’s Manual may cover a range of product specifications for various models. Characteristics
and features discussed and/or illustrated in this manual may not be applicable to all models. We reserve the right
to change product specifications, designs and equipment without notice and without incurring obligation.
All the power testing information used to establish the power rating of the engine equipped on this Generator
can be found in the engine manufacturer’s manual or website. If you have any problems or questions concerning
the machine, please contact our Customer Support Department.
Throughout this manual, all references to right and left side of the Generator are observed from the operating
position. The engine manufacturer is responsible for all engine-related issues with regards to performance,
power-rating, specifications, warranty and service. Please refer to the engine manufacturer’s Owner’s Manual
packed separately with your Generator for more information.

Safety Information
NEVER use your BBT 8000i Generator in the home.
NEVER use in wet conditions.
NEVER connect generator to a household circuit.
Keep all flammable products at a safe distance.
Extinguish all cigarettes, cigar, pipes and any other sources of ignition when
refuelling your generator.
When refuelling if fuel is spilled, wipe it off the generator and move machine
to another area and wait 5 minutes before starting the engine.
Always make sure engine is turned off when refuelling.

PARTS LOCATION
PREPARATION BEFORE OPERATING
1. Remove clips and remove the outer covering off
the air-filter.
2. Remove sponge filter.
3. Clean air filter by patting several times, this should
remove most of the dust.
4. Replace air filter back on generator.
1. Make sure your generator is on flat, dry solid
ground before operating.
2. Take oil cap off and remove dip stick.
3. Check oil level.
4. Fill to adequate level as required.
5. Replace oil cap.

3. Put choke to “ON” position.
1. Remove any load from circuit out
and close circuit breaker.
Starting Engine

5. Pull operating handle softly until
you feel a resistance then pull
with greater force.
2. Switch fuel valve to “ON“.
4. Switch the engine switch to “ON”.
6. When engine gets hot, turn the
choke “OFF”

2. Electrical equipment, especially the engine produces a strong current when being started. It is recommended
that you use a surge protector at all times on your generator.
3. When more than two loads are connected to generator, ensure connection is from high current to low.
• When connecting generator to your power supply, this must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
• Make sure your connections are wired correctly and you are not using power that is beyond your generators
capacity, this could cause damage to generator or in some cases fire.
To keep your generator in good mechanical condition and electric condition,
please follow the below instructions.
1. Ensure that connection from your generator to the grounding rod grounds the generator for safe operation.

2. Turn engine switch to “OFF” position.
Stopping The Engine
OPERATION
1. Close the circuit cut-out.
3. Turn Off the fuel valve
If engine must be stopped urgently, pull the
switch to “OFF”
Use of circuit
1. Start the engine. 2. Plug in connection. 3. Connect the circuit cut-out. Push
down the circuit protector.
